The 8 Best Hostels in Dubrovnik (Updated 2025)

"Set in a refurbished 400-year-old building, this place pairs modern amenities like air-conditioning with beautiful historic stone walls and a terrace that offers killer views over the Old Town where guests often hang out. I like that the staff organize lots of free evening activities (such as wine nights) and more adventurous outings like cliff diving, kayaking, and sunset boat trips, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook." - Matthew Kepnes

I loved this hostel! Would definitely stay again. The kitchen was well organized, everything was clean, and I loved the outdoor hang out area. There isn’t really an indoor hang out area so if it’s raining you’re out of luck. I met lots of nice people and the sangria night was awesome. Great location too.

Very lovely hostel in the heart of Dubrovnik with great staff. Zuzana was the highlight of my stay and cooked a nice gnocchi dish and offered it to me and a bunch of other guests. Anyone is lucky to cross paths with her! The hostel itself has nice modern amenities, including a kitchen to prepare food, an outdoor terrace area, and clean showers and restrooms. Highly recommend for a stay in Dubrovnik.

A standard hostel in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik. The rooms are a good size and the lockers fit my 40L backpack. The location was the best part by far as we were right in the middle of it all. Walked around all day but could stop by to freshen up and recharge my phone. Excellent location.

Location is the best ever. Very surprised at how quiet and considerate everyone was in the room. Slept in 10 bed mixed dorm and all lights were out at 10pm in my room. People hang around on outdoor patio that closes for the night. Kitchen has the stove and fridge. Nice staff and guests. If you are in Dubrovnik don’t forget to cliff jump, visit the island, swim and climb the trail up the mountain

I had an excellent stay at this hostel in Dubrovnik! The location is excellent. You’re right in the middle of old town. You can quickly pop in and Out of your hostel during your day. The hostel and facilities were clean and great. After a long bus and hot walk to the hostel, Ammar’s welcome made all the difference. He was very helpful I checking us in and helping us get settled into the hostel. Overall a great place to stay and I highly recommend it

Such a genuinely lovely place. We were staying in a private 'kitchen' room (weird but kinda cool) but it was perfectly clean. We had to book and check in at short notice, late at night when our hotel booking fell through. Only downside was shower wasn't working. Otherwise would definitely stay again.

I come to Dubrovnik every summer, and last summer I decided to stay at Hostel Angelina for a new experience! I loved it so much I decided to stay again this year! Firstly, the location is perfect! It’s right in the middle of the Old town so anywhere you want to explore here is a very short walking distance! The hostel has a WhatsApp group chat where they inform guests of all the event nights that they plan for the guests, along with making it easy for all the guests to meet each other! The hostel has many amenities, a kitchen, a terrace, showers and washrooms for both men and women each, AC, and many outlets! Everyday the staff come and clean the rooms and provide you with fresh towels! The staff here are so kind and always help with anything that I need! They truly made my experience here amazing! Shoutout to Dario for honestly just being the best! Ljube the cleaning lady, she’s such a sweetheart and works very hard! The 2 Spanish girls Juana and Florenica for helping me bring my suitcases up three flights of stairs lol💪🏼, and Joaquin for helping me during his night shifts that I know can feel like forever. I can’t forget Ana either! Boss lady who’s very organized and attentive! I always have a great experience here I highly recommend staying here if you ever want an awesome Dubrovnik experience!

Overall great for a social experience in a prime location with clean rooms. Biggest flaw is this cleaning lady at 10am enters the room and opens all windows and leaves front door open and they play loud music in the hallway. She was pretty rude. Not a good place to sleep. At night people are social and up late and then they wake you up first thing in the morning. Not good privacy. I get people check out 10am, but for those who don’t and want to sleep this isn’t fair. If this one thing can be fixed, I would give a 5 star for the price, location, social aspect, and general cleanliness of the rooms. Most of the other staff was very nice and accommodating besides this one rude cleaning lady and 1 girl receptionist with blonde hair wasn’t very helpful and seemed generally disinterested in the job and answering any questions. Past these 2 staff members, they arrange great social events and it’s a great place to be social and not spend much time in the room. Not the place for quiet and privacy. With room doors and windows and no music from reception, it’s relatively quiet in the rooms, just hear a low buzz of people from outside.
