Hostelgate | Vilnius Hostel

Location : Fantastic. Walk-able from the Train station and bus station. Rooms were nice and warm. The kitchen is a nice place to make a cup of tea and meet other guests. There are interesting graffiti writings on the wall which are fun to read. The entertainment room next to the kitchen contains a piano, fusball table and comfy couches. The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. The only problem was the slightly dirty washrooms and shower rooms. The curtain in one of the shower rooms did not close completely, leading to water overflowing out of the room. The washrooms were dirty with stains and a lot of hair.

Very acceptable overall but it depends on what you're looking for. Roma can be a bit noisy(they're not really insulated). Showers and toilets are not disgusting but they surely could be better. Atmosphere was nice, having a bit kitchen and a chilling area does the job when it comes to meeting new people. Location wise is also really good as it is right in the old town. Not the best I've been to but it is a good value for money

Good location. Good price. Staff is very helpful and doesn't speak russian (it is not bad or good, just warn you). Bed linen is very old and worn out, blanket and pillow had stains. Spider net is at windows. Only 4 showers and 4 toilets for many rooms and many beds.

Stayed in this hostel for three nights. The facilities were ok, some things we off but they seemed to be trying to fix it, like the fact that not all showers had hot water. Kitchen was well equipped, there's a sauna and a jacuzzi available for an extra fee. The decor is pretty cool, and there is a great view to a nearby courtyard. Loved the recommendations they gave me of things to do and restaurants.

Overall very bad experience as it is very noisy to get sleep even after midnight. There is no quiet hours, so people are still running in the hallway shouting, and the room is very much not sound proof so you can easily hear them. Also the door of the room cannot even be closed. The reception is not around for most of the time so not easy to get help if you need. It can do more work to keep the place clean and organized.

I stayed here 2 years ago when I was an Erasmus student. I disliked it. I slept in a room with other 11 people; not just that but the knob was broken, so we couldn’t close the door! The bathroom is not that clean, but it was ok! Overall, the place is dirty, I had to sleep with my jacket on. I gave 3 stars, because the staff were friendly, and although we couldn’t close the door, the place was safe.

Awesome stuff. Great atmosphere. Cosy sofas. Although the Hostel was not perfectly clean and the light in our room and one bathroom did not work. The stay was really good. And the small problems have been totally ok having a look on the price.

Amazing place for great price and it's right in the city center. Spent only one night there, but I met so many wonderful people during that short time, got a blueberry cake from Japanese guests, watched a movie with random people, talked over coffee and tea... The place has a soul, starting from colourful walls, through cozy balcony for smoking and a pink table football, to nice beds. I stayed in the 10 ppl bedroom and I can't complain. I'm definitely coming back the next time I go to Vilnius.
