The hotel is beautiful with friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Great amenities such as a towel warming rack, delicious smelling soaps. The coffee bar and mini bar were well stocked. The in room safe was surprisingly small - too small for a laptop. This hotel also had a good selection of channels on the TV. I had let the hotel know that we would be arriving before check in and wished to leave our luggage with them, but they had our room ready for us on arrival so we were able to freshen up before our lunch reservation which was much appreciated. They also kindly held our luggage for several hours after check out. We did not dine in the restaurant at the hotel because it is very meat centered and we are vegetarian, but it always smelled delicious.

Comfortable hotel, well located for walking to town center and the train station. Reasonably priced. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.|The room was comfortable and a nice size. I did get upgraded though from the room I booked, which was a nice surprise.|I appreciated English news channels available on TV.|Breakfast a bit of a disappointment. It's not a buffet, but someone comes to your table to take your order. It's not clear what your choices are as there is no menu. Were eggs available? I have no idea. Saucisson? I have no idea. They were out of yogurt the first morning I was there. Yogurt seems pretty basic, so odd they were out since the hotel didn't seem to be crowded. Had a wait for bread since they seemed to be temporarily out of that also, but a fresh warm baguette arrived after a short wait.

We stayed for four days. Great service. Beautiful, comfortable room with nice bathroom and storage. Bed is comfortable and water temperature and pressure are good. Nice amenities are included. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when in Djion.

We had high expectation of a hotel colocated with the best restaurant in town, 2-star Michelin. Big disappointment! The front desk staff was beyond rude. Frommer's guide subtly mentioned that "staff can be gruff"; it's worse. Paid over US$200 (breakfast and parking extra) per night for a minuscule room and a clogged bathtub. The separate toilet room, a gem! When sitting down your knees could easily touch the wall in front. The bathtub was clogged; the caulking cracked and discolored. The attached pictures show the view from our room. A decrepit building in utter disrepair! What a shame!

Very nice experience at this small lovely hotel in the center of Dijon.|Our room #130 was on the small side but luxurious. Super clean . The service is excellent and professional. The breakfast was amazing with such a great variety of food . The service there was top notch . The location of the hotel is perfect and the fact they have a valet service is so helpful and worth it . We had a great time and would recommend this hotel for your stay in Dijon .

I stayed for 1 night with my family on our way to French Alps. We booked 2 rooms: Junior Suite and a Privilege room. We are a large family with 4 kids. We ended up paying EUR 600 for 2 rooms! This is excluding breakfast!!! The Junior Suite had a small foldable sofa, which once unfolded blocks the way to the toilet. Both rooms were quite small. We had our rooms on the 3rd floor. You had to take a lift to 2nd floor first, then take the stairs, then a long corridor. They also charged extra for a small foldable bed for a small kid. Resume: more like a 3*** hotel, not a 4. Way overpriced (for comparison I paid almost 1/2 for 2 great rooms at Melia Luxembourg). The only nice thing about this hotel is location.

We have been staying at Hostellerie Chapeau Rouge for over 20 years to break our journey down to the south of France. It is conveniently located in the centre of Dijon. The hotel and rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff are exceptional - they are polite, efficient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. There is secure overnight parking for an additional charge which is very useful for us.

Yelp
Honestly one the best run hotels we've ever stayed at anywhere. The location is spectacular and the valet parking is even better. Check in and out was a breeze and the staff is 5 star. The hotel is really cool with lots of nice art. Our room spacious and had huge windows that open for fresh air. Bed was ok. Had clean nice bathroom with deep deep tub and awesome towel warmer. Living space had comfortable couch with beautiful glass coffee table. We had an amazing time at this hotel. Our only problem was the lack of days we had to enjoy it properly. It's definitely one of a handful of hotels and cities I would visit more than once. I truly did love this hotel.

Yelp
Well located but in really bad shape. No elevator to the 4th floor. Carpet was bad and smelly). Not recommended. I will not come back.
