Located right on the banks of the Vézère River, it offers a rare blend of tranquility, privacy, and vibrant atmosphere—all within walking distance of the town’s main attractions. The hotel’s architecture and decor are a visual treat. Whether you’re enjoying the peaceful garden, relaxing on the terrace, or simply taking in the ambiance, there’s a strong sense of history and charm throughout. One of the highlights for us were the common areas next to the rooms with beautiful furnishing and bookshelves. The hotel offers a thoughtfully curated collection of books in French, German, and English, including for kids —perfect for winding down in the evenings or on a quiet afternoon indoors after visiting the Lascaux caves

Although we have visited this area many times over the years we have never been to La Roserie before this summer. On the first occasion we just had a cool drink in their lovely shady garden. The surroundings were so lovely that we booked for dinner, and since then have eaten there a few times. The restaurant is part of the hotel which is absolutely charming offering old world charm but with up to date facilities. |The food is gorgeous and the service superb, and we can’t wait to visit again. Lovely staff too!

Everything about this place was wonderful, starting from the phone call to book a last-minute room, all the way to our departure the next day. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. The hotel is ideally situated, not too far from the Lascaux caves. Conveniently, there's parking right next to the square, and in case it's full, plenty more spots just around the corner. The building, garden, and rooms are all fantastic and well-maintained. They've even installed a lift in this historic building! We didn't dine at the restaurant, which I now regret, but the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Montignac-Lascaux.

Delightful hotel. The proprietors, Katia and Thierry, were welcoming and helpful. Our room was delightful, nice size, sunlit and airy. The lift was a nice surprise. Breakfast was varied and very good. We had dinner one evening, which was excellent.

Beautiful charming old building, beautiful garden near the river, comfortable beds, friendly staff, nice swimming pool. A lovely town, wish we could have stayed an extra night to explore the very pretty village

We stayed in the self-catering villa, which is tastefully restored timber framed, 1st and 2nd floor on top of a stone ground floor. We'll equipped and very comfortable. There are a lot of stairs, so if you are forgetful, like me, you will get fit nipping up and down stairs for car keys and the like! You have access to the hotel pool and excellent restaurant. The proprietors were very helpful and pleasant.
