Well I found myself stranded in Amazingly scenic Stirling through work. Had to get through the night for my job to finish. I needed one night stay, get my head down, rest my weary soul. Long day with 10 hours travelling. Did a quick search the usual lodges hotels. Had to think out the box either Glasgow or Stirling ideally. After a good digging finally landed on a deal top good to be true. A Hostel, I tepidly took the plunge. Upon arrival at trains station, I found a sleepy Stirling with an attractive endearing charm. Even though I was exhausted I somehow found the energy to explore the Castle and views surrounding this Hostel, bang in the middle. I was beyond caring, expecting a stable. Finding pleasant inviting warm staff. A roomy sit down area for a free cuppa self service. Various visitors all sharing facilities, getting on. Smiles, chatting, a joy to be in the middle of. So much better than a boring hotel. I gingerly went to my shared dormitory bunk bed room with 6 man space for settling in. Pleasantly surprised sharing room with one other who turned out to be a well travelled guy, we shared stories. It certainly did the job and more. My stop was a brief stay, could be fun for a longer visit if anyone finds them heading to this part of the world. Plenty to do around, I met many families stopping over. The Scottish residents are so friendly and very different to their southern cousins. Live, Enjoy, Share & be happy. I will consider hostels in future for such a pleasurable experience.
