Hosteria El Puma

Perfect stay in the wonderful town El Chalten. We stayed in one of the suites with a private terrace. The room was clean and furnished in a modern way. We always got nuts and fresh fruit. All employees were super friendly and helpful.

We loved El Puma! We had both the luxury suite and the regular room and both were just amazing. The staff is competent and friendly and the breakfast is simply amazing - we enjoyed the vast selection for muesli 🤩 perfect starting point for any hike

Decent lodge with nice breakfast room and common areas. The room itself was pretty nice and looked updated, but the bathroom was dated and pretty bad - mildew stained caulk around the tub, loose faucets on the tub and sink, zero storage - clearly got skipped over when they did last refresh.

We loved our stay at El Puma! Rooms are huge and insanely comfortable. Beautiful common areas, especially the breakfast room/restaurant. Great location, wonderful staff. Highly recommend!

Hosteria El Puma is a great place to stay. The staff are very helpful & friendly. Loved talking to the waitress in the dining room who was particularly helpful and looked up things of interest for us on the internet using her local knowledge. She was charming & made our stay more interesting.||The rooms are cosy and warm which is what you need after a hike on the mountains. Availed of the pack lunch which was very nice and good value. ||Would definitely stay there again if I’m lucky enough to return to El Chaltén. We loved it 5/5.||G&MOB.

Our family of four stayed at Hosteria El Puma for three nights in March 2024. The lodge is beautiful - rustic, simple and elegant. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated; I especially loved the vaulted ceiling in our room, whitewashed brick walls and wooden floors. I would have preferred a softer bed but my husband liked the firm mattress. The bathroom had ample space and the water pressure in the shower was excellent; we loved the heated towel rack and heated floors (would have liked more counter space around the sink). The service from the front desk to the dining room was very good. We enjoyed our breakfasts there daily (eggs cooked to order; many great selection of fruits, cheeses and meats, cereals, nuts, dried fruit, etc.) and we ended up choosing to stay on property for most dinners as it was convenient, tasty and such a nice atmosphere. We noticed many other guests did the same and we made new friends while there. We purchased a pack lunch from the hosteria for our Fitz Roy hiking day and it was incredible - everything was homemade and so delicious. The hosteria is located conveniently in the middle of El Chalten, close to all the shops and dining, but still felt private and very quiet as it is one street up from the main one. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay!
