The service here was wonderful! Such friendly staff and quick service! I wanted to come to this place after reading reviews and I am so happy that we did! In our 5 days In Naples, we had pizza at a different place each day, trying different flavors each time as well. We love an adventure. We tried the French fry & Hotdog pizza and the Sausage & broccoli rabe pizza. Both very delicious, although I would have recommended either a 'ketchup' or some other style sauce/dip drizzled over the top of the French fry pizza. I would highly recommend this place!

One of the Old restaurants in Rolado street. A family run restaurant. Long menu to go through with Veg and Gluten free options. Ask for the local food options and trust me, you will not be disappointed. Gluten-free options are also available. Very friendly staff who can explain to you the options you like to have. Good yummy food, great atmosphere, quick service, good quantity and a perfect place for a meal. They lost a star only because of the cover charges. You pay 5 Euros for 2 ppl dining. If you are in Naples, do not miss this place. Happy eating.

Fantastic is an understatement, my boyfriend and I ate here 3 times on our trip to Napoli. The food was wonderful, the wine list is fantastic with many options from all over Italy. This was probably the best restaurant we ate at in all of Italy…. Of course you get better service when you speak Italian, it’s the same all over Italy! 12% service fee or a table services fee is a basic concept all over Italy, you only tip on top of that if the service was outstanding, which at this establishment it was! The negative reviews are shocking and not deserved. We so look forward to coming back on our next trip to Napoli! Please try the Scarpariello, I am still dreaming about this pasta !

The food here was delicious I would highly recommend if you need a place for dinner, the carbonara was the highlight. Right in the middle of the Spanish Quarter which is what made the atmosphere even better!

Google
The food is absolutely delicious – 10 out of 10! We highly recommend trying the Capricciosa pizza and the seafood pasta – the presentation will definitely surprise you. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and enchanting, as if you’ve been transported to the heart of Naples. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional, making your experience even more enjoyable. Hosteria Toledo is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended! And remember: perfection lies in imperfection. 10 stars out of 5!

Google
Bit of a tourist trap, ordered food, total should have been €28.50, was charged €33.50, asked the guy but he was just like “you pay” like all of Naples, intimidating and not worth it. Food was ok and the service was fine, felt abit like they were just going through the motions, Naples is just not a nice place for tourists.

Ana (who I think is the owner) welcomed us and was a really hostess. Helped us get the place we wanted at the restaurant and accommodated our requests. At the end she also gave us a complimentary limoncello as we had a good talk and she wanted to make sure we were satisfied. The other waitress that served us, though, was maybe new or just very clumsy. It wasn’t her greatest day at work. The food could be warmer. Despite tasting delicious, the fact that it was lukewarm was a bit upsetting. It did really felt that it was just an off day, but I would give it another try.

Great authentic food, amazing service and a charming atmosphere. It’s local and in the middle of the Spanish quarter, but you do not feel any rush from around. We loved the pasta with beans and mussels! Thank you for the nice evening! ☺️

Yelp
Really nice place. The food tasted really good. (It was the first time that we finished the bread with the left over spaghetti sauce.) The waitress Titta was very friendly and professional. Edit: Unfortunately we visited the restaurant again the next day. This time the food was very salty and and overall not so nice. The waitress was friendly again. Seems to be a hit or miss.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch at Hosteria Toledo and never looked back on the reason why I love Italian food so much. We ordered mainly seafood dishes: - Grilled Mussels - Grlled Eggplant - Linguini with scampi & langostino - Mixed Shellfish pasta with clams and mussels - Octopus - Grilled branzino This was our best meal in Napoli, if not our whole trip to Italy. The grilled mussels was crusted with parmesan - cozze al gratte. The eggplant even had the beautiful grill marks as well as a great, fresh flavor. The pastas were good - linguini with scampi in a tomato olive oil sauce. The paccheri di tutti di mare with clams and mussels. Apparently the waitress forgot our other orders so the octopus took some time to come out. It was a whole mini octopus served in a tomato based sauce with capers. The branzino came out later grilled a bit too much so the tail was dry but the fish on a whole was delicious. This was one of our best meals in Italy. The food was terrific. I especially liked the octopus because I generally do not like the rubbery texture of octopus but it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. I think it was the highlight of the meal since I have never eaten a more tender octopus other than at Venice. The langostino came whole showing the freshness and have a taste similar to a cross between lobster and shrimp. The branzino was good, the tail a bit overcooked but the rest of the fish fine.

Yelp
We are first table in the evening before it start to get busy. We ordered a first course and second course. We have Pasta with cheese and tomato; spaghetti with clams; risotto seafoods rice and grilled squid. When we still tuckling the first course meal, the second course already come to our table. It is like pushing us to quickly finish the meal and burger off. Spaghetti is not cook well and risotto rice not up to our expectation. If you like fast foods like mc donald or kfc and wanted to be serve quick, you could try them. Other than that, stay away from them.

Yelp
Hosteria Toledo is a traditional Neopolitan trattoria that serves classic Campanian fare. The food is certainly above-average, though it does lack the flavor profile of other options in the city and region, as well. If you stick with the classics, such as spaghetti con vongole and spaghetti al neopolitano, you will not be disappointed. The decor is homely, quaint, and definitely puts in the frame of mind of being "part of the family." The service is excellent, particularly considering the abysmal service you would normally receive in other trattorie in the city. Servers are courteous and professional, though, of course, exude classical Neopolitan passion, vigor, and effervescence.

Yelp
Great homestyle cooking in Naples. Small, little 2 story restaurant off Via Toledo. It appears they have a second identity as a "Value" restaurant for tourists which is a shame because the normal restaurant is so good. As with many other spots in Naples, they do a nice fried food app. One of the single best dishes on our whole trip to Italy was a fried ball of ricotta cheese. It was insanely good. I had the ragu pasta which was very flavorful. My wife ordered the 'breakfast" pasta which was similar to carbonara but with a fried egg instead of a raw one. Super delicious. The place was packed with locals, talking loudly and laughing which is always a good sign. I'd look this place up and recommend it to others for sure.

Yelp
This is the first time I've written a restaurant revfiew but the dining experience was so awful that it has stuck in my mind. We stumbled on this restaurant and thought it looked charming and authentic. I don't know if this was a bad night or we ordered the wrong dishes but this was the worst dining experiencel we've had in Italy and elsewhere in Europe. My son ordered the shrimp scampi that had two undercooked langostino shrimp that weren't edible. My husband ordered pasta with porchini mushrooms and ham and it was so thick and cheesy like glue. I wasn't very hungry so decided to order eggplant parmesan - that was forgotten and then arrived after my husband and son finished their meal. I also ordered sauteed shrimp. The baby shrimp arrived - shell and all - so I had to peel each one which I finally gave up since they were so small and messy and not worth the effort. In addition to the disappointing dishes, the dump waiter right behind me kept buzzing and the waitress proceeded to open and repeatedly slam the door shut. We couldn't wait to pay the bill and run out of the restaurant.. This was my first visit to Naples and this experience left me with a really negative view of the local cuisine.

Yelp
the best non-pizza meal we had in naples. affordable and a nice atmosphere. I had fried cod with tomatoes, capers and olives. it was darned good. my wife had bow tie pasta with salmon in a cream sauce and she says it was the best pasta she had on our whole trip.

Yelp
Was hungry on a Sunday afternoon in Naples and wondered into Hosteria Toledo. What a great fine, service and meal was great from start to finish. Don't pass it by if your in the Toledo area when visiting Naples.

Yelp
Food is way way over salted here , nothing special and overpriced . Better value options in Napoli . On the other had the wine selection is good & if you get a seat by the window you can watch mo-peds zoom around people & the local kids run around .

Yelp
We had such high hopes for this recommended restaurant, however we were deeply disappointed! First it took a while to be greeted then when asked if we would like wine, we said yes either a sauv blanc/pinot gris BUT no chardonnay....well, the waitress brought a bottle of chardonnay...I thought I'd tried it instead of making a scene...it was not only not what we ordered but it was bad/vinegary/turned...we felt since we were 'tourists' that they were just trying to dump a bad bottle of wine on us thinking we had no clue...well, I am a chef and have a clue about wine! We tried telling the waitress about the bottle wine but she ignored us for the rest of the night....the food arrive from a different waitress...it was VERY salty and my guys so called filet was a nasty tough cut of sirloin.....we tried speaking to who we believe was the owner (older lady at the register)....she just began yelling at Italian at the top of her lungs to try embarrass me....I just yelled back and said I would let the Marriott/Renaissance-Naples know of our experience. The Marriott restaurant was 150% fresher and so much better as was Mammina (more casual) near the water or Ristorante Mattozzi Europeo on via marchese campodisola 4. DO NOT WASTE YOUR Time At HOSTERIA TOLEDO!!! It was a terrible waste of money!!!!! BTW...they never even refunded us the bad bottle of wine!!!!!!
