Google
I had the best cauliflower salad, great job on the roasted vegetables and the salad source - very tasty. Very lovely atmosphere as well.

My husband and I had a brunch here on Saturday. We weren’t able to pre book a table, but luckily managed to nab the last one available. My husband has the sausage sandwich and I had the bacon pancakes, which were great! The service was really quick and we loved how you can choose your coffee blend. We also thought it was reasonably priced for Cambridge. We really enjoyed our experience here and will be returning!

Lovely place with great coffee and food. Have seating area inside and outside. Would recommend if you want nice cup of coffee.

Really good coffee but slow service. There is usually pretty crowded, so expect a queue. Their tarts are really tasty and they have a good selection of pastries and sweets

I was having a day trip to Cambridge and the weather was cold and rainy. I was looking for something hot to drink to warm up myself. This cafe is a gem. Located in the center. The hot chocolate was delicious. The service was quick and excellent. The price was great. I highly recommend it if you're in the city.

The perfect spot for brunch; great food and coffee with a warm, homely vibe. Dog friendly, too!

Not only is this my toddler’s favourite spot for croissants but this place has the nicest staff. The person who served us today was the loveliest! The owner is also one of the friendliest people in Cambridge. And the people that go to the cafe are the nicest. Two people held the door for me and the pram, and one even held our drinks while I got the pram out! And coffee never disappoints. Honestly, always a great experience!

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast with friendly staff. Great portions, so I ordered the half size and it is still pretty generous. They have great ambiance and pastries to complement your tea or coffee!!!!

Yelp
Crazy long wait times after ordering. Multiple people overheard complaining, including me, which took almost 40 minutes to receive my order.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick coffee and was very pleased. Staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered an americano with hot milk and some type of brown sugar cookie. Both were brought to my table and I was very impressed with the coffee. It was smooth and flavorful with a light Smokey finish. I like off the wall small places like this, I give it 5 stars.

Yelp
Awesome cafe in Cambridge with hot food and good drinks! Very close to depts of architecture and chemistry. I came in to get breakfast with a friend before she left on the train, and had the most delicious shakshuka served in a cast iron skillet with nice crusty bread. It was more than just a breakfast dish, it was bubbling hot tomato heaven. I hung around the coffeeshop as it got busier and met a second friend for a coffee and pastry. By this point the staff seemed very overwhelmed as it they said that it would take 40 min for any ordered food to be served even though the shop is not large. Must be a tiny tiny kitchen in the back with only one chef? Regardless, I have a wonderful experience, enjoyed my food and coffee, and would recommend Hot Numbers highly!

Yelp
This is, in my humble opinion, the best café in Cambridge. Everything - from the coffee to the breads, to the pastries, to the savory menu -- is impressive. So much so that, despite having a Fitzbillies a few steps away, I bicycle across town for the high quality of the food and coffee. Definitely try their savory brunch staples and specials. You will not be disappointed. We tried the custard tarts (wow), two cakes (perfection), avocado toast (to die for), fluffy scrambled eggs and toast (bread is amazing here), buttermilk pancake surprise (so unusual, so good!), batch coffee and cappuccino (great coffees - all) and plain croissants (crisp). It's a lovely, calm space, too - just a few steps from the Fitzwilliam museum. Side note: GBBO finalist, Ian Cumming, bakes fabulous cakes for the café (like Elderflower and Strawberry, Sticky Toffee Pudding). Perfection: no surprise. Final note: It can get quite busy - especially on the weekends - so you may need to come early to get a seat! So worth it. Will be back again and again.

Yelp
Basic coffee nothing special. A good place to chill and study. a bit crowded and packed so not covid friendly not recommended to go during the pandemic.

Yelp
I cannot say anything bad about this place. During the summer, I was studying abroad at the University of Cambridge. Since most of my classes were in the Engineering Building and I lived a block away on Fitzwilliams, I always found myself here. The breakfast options are vast and are all pretty amazing. I had the avocado toast more times than I'd like to mention and I always loved adding salmon lox to the dish! It complimented the SLABS of avocado very well. I also had the matcha pancakes and those were as fluffy and decadent as can be! Surprisingly not too heavy, too! I also had the eggs and toast and I have no idea what they put on the eggs or the toast but they're the best things that I have ever had in my lifetime (I am still trying to get those flavors to this day!). I also have had the yogurt with granola. The yogurt is greek but not too sour so it was so good to me (I hate super sour yogurts). I can go on and on about the pastries as well. I loved the sausage, the little tarts, the brownies, cookies, EVERYTHING! No complaints about any of the food or pastries here! My favorite drink is the latte with oat milk and no honey. Bomb. Amazing. I am currently salivating!!!

Yelp
I'm so happy because I tried to order a half-size avocado toast, but that wasn't available so then I ordered a kid's avocado toast and they were kind enough to serve it to me with all the toppings and garnish! I appreciate this a lot. This place is my go-to morning cafe! The coffee tastes amazing, the baristas are super good, and the bread that the toasties and brunch is served with is perfectly made!!! If you buy the coffee beans you can see the roast date, and you can also buy yourself a loaf of high quality, fresh bread to take home (the bread is just as good and sometimes even better than the bread at the bakery stands at Market Hill).

Yelp
It was a longer walk than I expected from Cambridge Station, but definitely worth every step. The line was long when we got in, and most of the cosy tables were already occupied. Managed to grab two seats at the long table. If you don't mind sharing them with strangers. There are outdoor seating as well, but it was drizzling that day. What a shame. I got myself a Latte, and a Matcha Pancake. I highly recommend the pancakes especially if you're vegetarian. It's packed with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, kiwis, pomegranate, figs and oats. Drizzled with Nutella! It doesn't say on the menu thays it's Glutten Free. Its on the sweeter side and very filling too! You can see the 3D version of it here: https://sketchfab.com/models/e677f74b0b534bd288145d63aba346e6 This place is great for groups, babies are welcome too although it's a bit tight to park prams in here. Price wise is decent. You're looking around £10 per head for a nice meal. Breakfast starts from 07:00 - 12:00 Lunch starts from 07:00 - 15:00

Yelp
Great coffee (yes one of the best in town) and absolutely love the not-too-sweet chocolate pistachio cake

Yelp
Came in high spirits - left bored 'n' tired! Apart from the logo, this place was not worth the trip. Wannabe shop that's part gelato, part watering hole, part family hang-out with nannies. Counter girl was stuck up & prissy. Iced coffee tasted like dormitory dishwater. Came in same cup as hot brew, without a lid. It's all too much. Too much light. Too many poodles, cats, babies, furniture, grannies.. too much crap on the walls! Thought I'd get a pickup from a cute girl. Instead this place was tiring, dull, tasteless and unfriendly. U.S. Rebel Review: 1.5 stars

Yelp
When I'm in Cambridge it's usually because I'm drinking. I know that seems a bit insane, but when your partner is in a brass band, that's what you do. So after a long night out drinking, I am definitely in need of a morning pick-me-up. (Sometimes a pre-party pick-me-up as well). I've been to Hot Numbers three times now as we are usually staying at a hotel quite nearby. And all three times, I've been really happy with it. I usually get the pour over coffee because even though there are all these fancy ways to make it there (aeropress, syphon, espresso), I still prefer my coffee fairly old school: black, pour over coffee. And they do a really good job of it as well. (Okay once I went and they got distracted and my coffee sat there awhile and I had to "raise my voice" at them to make them give it to me, but I was hung over so not in the best of moods. But I still went back. So obviously I didn't care that much). They always have a massive selection of pastries there as well that I just want to devour, but I never do. Maybe next time.

Yelp
Having just come from California, nothing is better to help adjust to the "cold" Cambridge mornings than a really good cup of coffee. Although I was skeptical of their automated pour-over V60 machines, when it came, it was very good. Not over extracted; no bitterness in the least. Personally (and I really do mean personally as many would disagree with me), i don't enjoy my coffee scalding hot. I am impatient; i like it at a very warm drinkable temperature where I can taste accurately. So, when my coffee arrived, I was surprised that it was my ideal drinking temperature. Definitely looking forward to trying their espresso!

Yelp
The hot chocolate is rich and flavorful! Pastel de Nata was also quite crisp. The interior of the store is bright. Good strong WiFi. Very busy on weekdays, not sure about weekends, but the baristas are very efficient and fast.

Chris R.

Yelp
Excellent lattes. Strange ordering system--you say how much milk you want added to your espresso, instead of saying "large latte" or whatever. It makes sense, I guess, though a bit precious. The space is nice looking, long and narrow, the music a little too loud but the outdoor area in back is nice for working. Friendly staff, mostly. Food on a weekend morning took a really long time, but maybe that's not a surprise.

Yelp
Superb coffee and cozy place. On a rainy Sunday afternoon forget about it you won't find a seat but any other time worth a stop, excellent pastries and really good coffee. Not a great place to sit with your computer though, too small for that. If it were twice as large it would be more comfortable, but hey this is overcrowded Cambridge..... there is another place with this name across Parker's piece off mill road. It's got live music several times a week and serves beer in evenings. This place shares same name but night and day different.

Yelp
A very good American-style cafe with spartan styling, wooden benches and cushions. Sells good coffee too! Probably amongst the best in Cambridge. Its probably a dream come true for the guys at the engineering department across the street ...

Yelp
For British coffee, this place is solid. Great beans and the baristas get it right about 80% of the time. The food's a bit pricey but very good. Overall, you won't find much better in Cambridge. The Gwydir St store is also great.

Drew G.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and a wide variety of it! The most varieties of espressos I've seen anywhere - including a decaf! Very friendly owners and staff and a great atmosphere at both their Cambridge locations! Great indoor and patio seating at the Trumpington location!
