Back in 2017, my husband and I had just had a terrible experience with a big-chain pizza delivery, when a co-resident recommended his favourite pizza joint to us. It's a little hole-in-the-wall, family-run place just around the corner here in Gastown. The iconic Gassy Jack statue is staring almost directly at it.
It's called Hot Pie Pizza. It is now our favourite source of pizza, period.
We originally did by-the-slice, which was good, then graduated up to freshly made whole pizzas. Food for the gods, but for us mere mortals!
According to MasterCard, we've gotten pizza there 112 times as of this writing. We have yet to have an unpleasant experience.
And just as icing on the cake, the family who owns and operates it are friendly, good-natured, and caring. (They gave us a nice bottle of wine when we were mourning the loss of our elderly cat, Tommy.)
Tell them, "PackPuppy, the Purple Pooch", sent you!
