We stayed at the springs resort when we were visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park. Rooms might seem dated, however it was comfortable and clean. The highlight was the 20 hot springs were hot and comfortable. The springs and pools were not too crowded during our stay in the summer. The springs were still very comfortable since the weather was quite cold. They offer basic grab to go breakfast and oatmeal and coffee in the morning. There isn’t much businesses in town. However, the grill next to the resort offers excellent burgers and Mac and cheese!

Didn't stay in the rooms; my husband and I went for the springs for an afternoon, and we generally loved it. Yes, you can smell the sulphur; however, you adjust to it, and the pools feel GREAT! The bathrooms were newly updated and clean. The staff wasn't all that communicative. Though they were responsive to questions, the girl who checked us in barely said anything, gave us no explanation of the pools except where the bathrooms were, and failed to mention we would need $0.50 each in coins for the use of a locker. That was odd, as springs I've been to before typically provide access to a locker as part of admission. A bonus was that they have a sheet they show you when you check in that lists their discounts and immediately ask if you qualify for any of then. It would be nice for the lobby to have a map of the pools so you know which ones are which vs. having to roam around to get the lay of the land. Overall, it was great; we felt awesome after our afternoon there! Definitely recommend!

Went here with my girlfriends for massages and the springs! We all loved Tom, he was fantastic and we all enjoyed our massage! The springs were nice, clean and some had really unique and tranquil views! The Sulphur wasn't really over powering/ your skin feels amazing! We will be back, not super duper fancy, but really awesome, authentic and peaceful!

Google
I didn't stay in the rooms, just came to the springs. They call them sulfur springs for a reason, so be prepared to smell like sulfur and any clothes/ hair/etc too for a while after visiting. The water is very good for skin and hair and though. The variety of pools is nice and the water temps are nice. Even the chlorinated kid pool was a good temp on a 50 degree night. They remodeled the locker room and it's great. I hope they can work on the rest of the property. Several tubs don't seem to get a good enough flow to clear out debris, a very strong mildew smell inside the main building and the magnesium pools area. I'm sure it's an uphill battle with mold and mildew, but I've been to many other springs that don't have this issue. It's concerning to be breathing that, so I didn't stay in those spaces long.

Just a review on the pools (Didn't stay in rooms): We did the private pool, massage, and the public pools. Let's talk about the sulphur smell. It wasn't bad at all. I warned my group that the reviews mentioned how extreme it was, but it was really minor. I smelled traces of it more after we left and it was just on my skin. Upon leaving, my skin felt great. A shower at the rental removed any smell, but it honestly wasn't bad. I'm not sure if it changes at times, but we went in June. The private pool was very hot and closed in. It was fine, but the public pools would be just fine on a non-busy weekday. It was nice to have the shower to help with body temperature though. It's an okay feature, but not needed. The massage got a good review. I didn't get the massage, but I know they used the full time. Tom did great! The public pools were the highlight if you manage to get a pool you want without too many other people around. Some pools are big enough to accommodate others, and most people are there to relax, so it's not too bad. It's not something I do a lot (relaxation things such as spas or massages), so I'm not sure if I'd do it again. But that isn't the fault of the resort! I think this is a good place to visit if you want to experience something like this.

Google
They don’t smell that great. And there pools are pretty small they failed to notify us that you should start at the bottom as they tend to warm up as you go through each pool. But i think they needed a net out something around each pool as there were bugs in it as was kinda hard to relax while fighting to get away from the buggers. Lol bonus points for the chipmunk who happily took my French toast that i was munching on from my hand. Was so cute.

Google
Rooms are tiny and probably 50+ years old. Beds/sheets/pillows decent. This place may have been great in its hay day. The town around it looks half abandoned. The hot spring pools were neat and fun to do once. "Breakfast" was just tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and oatmeal packets. Wi-fi blows; Maybe 1 bar and it cut in and out every few minutes. Trains! Trains came by about 200 feet away about every 3 hours in the middle of the night. 1am, 4am, then 6 maybe. Good luck sleeping.

Google
Love, love, love these hot springs! Writing a review to boost their score because they deserve more than 3 stars! The bathrooms were freshly remodeled and very clean. Lockers available, so bring a quarter; they’re like the roller rink. Plenty of pools to choose from depending of desires temperature or privacy desired. The front desk staff were The Sweetest!! So incredibly kind and informative all three days I was there. If your body & spirit need healing waters, look no further! Can’t wait to return, see y'all soon!!

Yelp
Made the drive from Denver to this little gem, and it was very worthwhile. I enjoyed experiencing the temperature changes as the altitude varied along the drive. It was also very unique seeing the types of homes as I observed the towns I passed on my route. Parking was easy once I arrived at the resort. There was no cell service though, and you have to connect to their wifi inside. Checking in was easy, and they had everything ready for my Star bath. I had initially signed up for the emotional trauma therapy massage but the woman that did it no longer worked there. I saw there was availability for a deep tissue massage after my bath, so I signed up for that with Tom. The bath was amazing! Inside there was space to undress and/or change with a shower also. There was also a huge fan to regulate your body temperature so it didn't get too hot. Inside was sealed off and felt like a sauna. The actual star bath cave itself, was small and cozy with a nice skylight above to provide natural sunlight. I believe it was about 104 degrees with steps to descend onto a seat within the bath. It was so relaxing and therapeutic. The walls were covered with natural minerals and crystals. I had signed up to be in there for an hour, but got out early because I knew my limits. The shower after was very refreshing. Tom made me very comfortable during the deep tissue massage. I informed him from the beginning about which areas I would like for him to focus on. All of it was very relaxing, and I appreciated the light convo during. I also appreciated that he used fragrance-free oil. It helped a lot with my sensitivities. I truly felt satisfied afterwards and like all of my knots were free. He applied just the right amount of pressure to loosen it all up. Highly recommend if you're looking to experience hot springs for the first time like me. Humble staff all around and in a nice secluded and peaceful location.

Yelp
we had a great experience! they have 12 different pools and hot springs all ranging in temperatures and sizes. we went at night and it was a discounted rate and it was perfect! not too many people and it was wonderful getting to look up at the stars. we're here for a week and we plan to go every night! all of the staff were wonderful and friendly
google avatar

Yelp
Disgusting, overcrowded, and unhygienic. We stayed less than half an hour because we got the heebie jeebies from the lack of cleanliness and smell I literally created a Yelp account to warn others about this place

Yelp
Came for rest and relaxation for my birthday. It was SUPER cold, and I will attribute that to my review. Bring a hat in the winter! My swim cap saved my warmth The shower/change area was nice, very clean and wonderful showers. We hit the 12 pools had a ball. The temp was decent in the first pool, but rest of the lower ones felt like bath water ---the attendant said, the higher you go the hotter,so we went higher and thatwas true...at the top of the hill was the best pool but was small ad could only hold 6 folks.. so we stayed for about 20 min in that one then went back to the bigger pool, that was nice but not as hot. The attendant was nice and asked if we had been there before, took the time to explain, bus as we left we encountered another couple who discovered a map after changing back and said there were 4 more HOT pools in the back (not up). Good experience, had a great time, and now I know for next time.

Yelp
Never been at a hot springs before. This was our first.. We came here after a day in the RMNP (30 mins drive) and it was the best way to end. The pools were hot, and they varied in temperature. Favorite ones: mat, Ute (visit the mini if the main one is occupied !!) and hot rocks. Magnesium pool indoors was a delight as well and peacefully quiet. Restoring after hiking in the mountains. They also were also somewhat heavy on the Sulphur smell. End of the day I would go back. We watched the sunset over the hills. We left in the evening for dinner, just as families arrived. Family friendly.. iykyk. Our visit was very relaxing and the price for a day pass is affordable, reasonable

Yelp
Hot springs are a natural remedy for aches and pains. There are many hot springs in Colorado but this is the only one that I know has 23 different pools that range in temperature and is open every single day of the year! I have been on 4 different occasions and have my top 3 pools that I enjoy most. I always visit on a weekday and miss the crowds. They have complimentary lounge chairs and some under canopy areas to help you avoid the sun. The Mountain View's all all around really help you get in a relaxed state of mind. There is a designated quiet area. The theme is western and rustic. Children under 12 are only allowed in certain areas but they do have a designated family area with pools for children. There are stairs so if you have any walking issues bring a buddy to help you out.Homopathic remedies are always better than a prescribed medication so give it a try!

Yelp
Ok. Here's what I think is going on with these reviews. On property there is a hotel - that looks..."rustic", but don't want to go too far because we didn't stay here. The rooms seem to be responsible for a lot of the negative reviews. There is also a hot spring that you can buy a day pass for - which is $26 for adults. This was my first hot spring so I don't have much to compare it too. But I would just say be prepared. The place is a sulfur hot spring - so it smells like sulfur - strong smelly hot sulfur. We got a very nice orientation when we came in. There is an adults only side, and private pools to rent too. Look, I'm mixed on the "healing properties" thing, but the varied temperatures are fun to experience. And the fact that it's natural geothermic is pretty fun. My advice, embrace the fact this place is like over 100 years old. Hold your nose. And have fun.

Yelp
A mom and pop owned springs. No corporate money spent making you feel like a resort and spa. Yet the multiple various springs were great. Watching the bald eagle and the mule deers while relaxing and meeting folks from all over was nice. The tub temperature posted doesn't match with actual water temp. But we found lots of hot ones and some that were just relaxing. My 17 yr old son and I enjoyed almost three hours there.

Yelp
If I could give this 0 stars I would. We came here thinking it was gonna be a relaxing experience. Left after half an hour. Over crowded, very dirty, the "pools" were lukewarm. Saw a lot of debris in the water. We felt very gross. Would not recommend this place to nobody.
google avatar

Katrina M.

Yelp
We were hesitant to visit the hot springs because of a few bad reviews. I called and talked to the owner and she was so sweet and answered all of our questions. We had a party of 6 and we absolutely loved it. The showers/locker rooms were updated & very clean. The hot springs had minerals so not all of them were completely clear but they're NATURAL!! We loved trying out the different temperatures but the waterfall one was our favorite. We will definitely be back when we come back to Colorado. I'm so glad we didn't let the bad reviews keep us from coming. The water temperatures were just as advertised and you could choose which temperature/pool was right for you. Going in the morning gave us no crowds at all. We give it 10/10!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I enjoyed the mineral springs. I particularly felt the magnesium ones were helpful. I had a two hour massage with Esther and it was the kind that you find the underlying problems with your aches and pains. She found each spot and was able to release it for me. I highly recommend a two or three hour session with her.

Yelp
Pools are cold and dirty. Imagine gross, stinking bathtubs. Floaters everywhere and disgusting. No capacity limits, so it's very difficult to find any pools. Very small pools - not maintained. Anything that allows kids is cold. Bathrooms are gross and overcrowded. Bad experience. Go to Glenwood or Steamboat.

Lisa P.

Yelp
We enjoyed ourselves. I felt like the prices were reasonable. Things you should know. First bring shoes to walk from pool to pool. You can buy flip flops there for $4. Also bring quarters for the lockers if you plan to change there. The lockers are very small. They will let you get quarters there if you need it. I would bring a robe if possible but certainly not required. They have showers and changing areas. If you wear jewelry it will change the color but they have a jar of jewelry cleaner you can use while you are there. I would go back. It was relaxing!!!

Ody G.

Yelp
The actual springs are great. They are very high in mineral content and you can choose the temperature you want. It is nice that you can buy a pass for a pretty reasonable rate. We stayed in one of the rooms, which was scarcely updated since originally built in the 1930's. The room was called a queen, but the bed seemed very small, maybe a double and the mattress was past its useful life. The only usable table was taken up with a huge TV, which could easily have been mounted on the wall. Midweek, there was no good restaurant open in town. The 7670 which bills itself as a bar and grill, is a cafe with no liquor license, so a trip to Granby is needed to get a nice meal. I would say stay at another hotel or motel, pay the day fee, and go to Granby for dinner.

Alfonso R.

Yelp
Cleanliness, customer service regulate capacity. Don't go to this place ! Poor service overcrowded misrepresentation of pool temperatures. Dressing room walls floors don't seem to have ever been cleaned !

Yelp
On our second trip to Hot Sulphur Springs, we stayed overnight and enjoyed the nighttime and the morning soaking options. If you've got two quarters, you can secure your belongings in the private bathroom / dressing / undressing areas. We locked our things up once and once with no lock, with no issues either time. Several of the hot spring pools were closed off when we were here this time, assuming this was due to the recent heavy snowfall. Still, we were able to enjoy several pools and had most to ourselves. The accommodations were clean, minimal and basic. But really, what more do you really need? You're here to soak and spend time in the hot springs, not the room. If I had to offer suggestions: maybe add a night stand for convenience and a second luggage stand or additional bench for said luggage. The towels could easily be upgraded to more soft, fluffy versions and maybe provide complimentary flip flops with the towels, in the room versus the office, for visiting the springs. They did offer breakfast "packets"which include various assortments of sugar (juice, muffin, granola bar, danish, etc.). We opted to pass but would have accepted if more whole food options were offered (almonds / nuts, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, etc). We did partake in the coffee and tea options for guests and appreciated the warm fireplace, seating options in the lounge and free wifi for guests. This "resort" has been around for over 100 years. You've really got to take this into consideration when you're staying here and enjoying the springs. Lots of history here and some very old structures. Yes, there are lots of improvements that can be made and even in our room, there's evidence of these improvements being made over time. Our bathroom was really modern next to the tiny bathroom where the bathroom door barely cleared the toilet, lol. No nightstand and no cell service (of any kind in the rooms), but you have a television. All this to say, we enjoyed our stay and weren't really in the room too often. When we were, it was fine. The springs and the backdrop are gorgeous. We spent a lot of time in the most secluded pool, nearest to the train, on the right of the property. It's a tiny pool but the views? Priceless.

Yelp
Despite the mixed bag of reviews here, i really enjoyed my stay here. I have only been to a few natural hot springs, but they were more secluded and private that this establishment - so i dont have much comparison. this does seem like a very bare bones spot, but if youre looking to relax, try some hot springs for the first time, and have an experience, than this is for you. highlights: 1. day pass is about $25 pp 2. lockers in the bathroom and cost about 50 cents. everytime u open them, u need to put more coins in. 3. bring your own towels 4.wifi really doesnt work, and u probably wont have service. 5. free parking in a big lot 6. no food or drink for sale. but bring water to stay hydrated. 7. so many indoor & outdoor pools, different sizes and different deepness. only a few are for kids - rest are adult only 8. i spent 2 hours there and that was enough. 9. fairly clean, but the area needs a make over. its dated, but gets the job done.
google avatar

Masha Z.

Yelp
Don't bother spending your money here. The list I'm about to provide is from my experience and observations. So: *Women's locker room was NASTY! (7/11 or truck stops are cleaner) *Front desk girl was nice to inform us that only 15 pools were open. We noticed a lot of closed signs everywhere. *The amount of salt they put on the paths between the pools was an over kill. *The "pools" themselves were a kneecap deep at most. Some are old hot tubs *bring a close friend and leave the massive group behind! You can't fit that many people into some of the pools because they are so

Yelp
I've been to nearly every hot springs in Colorado - and there are many - and this is the best deal and one of the best settings. You can sit in the pool at the highest point of the property and gaze at the far-away mountains and the nearby river and it's one of the best experiences in a state packed with fantastic experiences. It's more rustic than the fancy, overpriced hot springs - hello, Iron Mountain! - and that's the good news. Most of the pools at Hot Sulphur Springs are covered only by the sky, but there are two big pools where you can escape the sun. Want to pay around $50 (and up) to soak .... for max of three hours? Go to Iron Mountain for a great view of Interstate 70. Or, pay $26 to soak all day - and I've happily stayed as long as 8 hours - and go to Hot Sulphur Springs for a great view of Colorado wilderness. (An all-day pass at Iron Mountain is - gasp! - $100 to $150. I'm not making this up.)

Stacy C.

Yelp
It was a nice getaway for my dad and I not too many people it did start raining so like any pool you had to get out and wait. There is so many hot individual hot springs so you are bound to get one to yourself for a bit, the big pool was a nice way to cool off it was a tad green but what can you expect it being next to the sulfur springs, 10/10 would bring some lunch & friends up

Rupert B.

Yelp
I probably wouldn't make this a destination location but if you are in the area it might be worth visiting for a couple hours. About the only place I can compare it too is Glenwood Springs which i have been too many times and i consider first class with giant pools and nice clean facilities. This place is a couple steps down looking a little warn out. The pools were very small with one exception. Mostly able to hold 1-3 people each. The nicest pool had water running down of a rock and could probably hold a dozen people comfortably. I think there was around 5 people in it when I was there. Some pools in the top were too hot for me. The middle sections seemed just right. I did not try the lower ones that were for kids and probably cooler. The changing area was a little small. The pricing seemed fair.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience here. So many pools to choose from! They also offer a military discount so we saved 18! The front Desk lady was wonderful, explaining and telling us about the pools. Everything was so relaxing. Make sure to pack your own towel and a water bottle to stay hydrated. Pros: Friendly & helpful staff Water was super warm and relaxing Adult only areas Silent and relaxing My cons: So I did a expect the pools to be deeper. The pools are gross and dark looking (but I know it's due to the minerals and stuff) Some of the pools only fit 2-4 people max Friendly tip for improvement: I think it would be nice to add a sign that shows you the cement bench layouts that way your not banging your feet.

Julie B.

Yelp
There are those experiences that take your breath away for all the right reasons - this was not one of them. We thought this would be a great way to spend a day outdoors and enjoy Mother Nature, but she was nowhere to be found. The lukewarm tubs of filth and last nights' regret were anything but hot and/ or relaxing. I made the mistake of showering before entering these dirty tubs and exited wondering what type of social disease I may have contracted. I'm accustomed to natural elements floating in hot pools but was shocked and disgusted by what I saw and touched in these glorified cess pools. I wonder if I might be pregnant, is that even possible? I mean the water was body temperature, and I'm certain I saw little swimmers everywhere amidst the algae, wads of human hair (yes THAT hair, too), used bandaids and toenails. The hottest pool was no warmer than the shower I've taken every 10 minutes since leaving this place. Each pool was basically the same temperature and the water just goes from one to the next so yea, the guy who peed in the pool above you is flowing to the next pool and combined with the kid who didn't wipe well enough and then it ends up in your lap. This was basically our family experience. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT go here. It's unclean, the pools are not well taken care of and there are no limits to the bus loads of people they will allow in. We stayed for 10 minutes and left to go The Ditch to feel clean! Drive the extra distance and go to Strawberry Park or literally anywhere else. I'd rather drink from a garden hose in Mexico than go here again! Question for the staff: does the health department ever check on you and why do you not have capacity restrictions?
google avatar

Allyson D.

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday at the noon time with two other ladies. Check-in process was easy, they gave you color wristbands for your time so they know who to kick out at the end and let in when the time comes. However they say it's at limited capacity but it was still too many people. There's 15 springs on site however some of these only fit 2 to 3 people. And on this particular day in early March, 4 of the Hot Springs did not work. I wish we were told that when we checked in. And take that in consideration for that capacity for that day. Throughout our two hours you could see people walking around and looking to try and find a spring to get into. The colors and decor are overall really dated. I only saw one bathroom. However there was a large room with curtain like old school dressing private areas. There were children here this day however, I guess children can't go in certain temperature waters so make sure you research that before you go. Definitely make sure you bring water and flip-flops to walk to each spring ( warm in the summer/cold in the winter). Staff did come around and check our wristbands and clean the handrails of the Hot Springs throughout the two hours.

Liv G.

Yelp
We knew it was in the middle of no where so it was not going to be a five star resort experience. We also knew the prices reflect this at just $30 per person, great deal! The top soaking pool was extra hot. We spent the majority of our time at the highest up soak. People came up but said it was too hot for them. The big pool with the water fall is a nice starting point. Front desk employees were kind and attentive. Locker rooms were clean enough for the price. Don't come expecting the Ritz Carlton. It's a simple soak with grounds that are not impressive but the water is hot and pure. If you're easily grossed out with esthetics, then it's not the place for you. Try Glenwood Springs which we like too. More room for us! When trying to leave there was a rockslide that closed 40 and damaged the road. We were rerouted through WinterPark. It doubled our time to get home but we enjoyed seeing a few new towns:) Rockslides are real for those visiting.

Yelp
It's very clean. No algae like strawberry park. Beautiful view. 19 hot pools all different temperatures. Kid friendly. I like that you can get a stamp and return all day long. And you do not need reservation to swim. Friendly staff.

Yelp
A welcome oasis of invigorating and revitalizing warm water rejuvenating pampering amidst the backdrop of the Rockies. Accepting that it is a historic, restored, retreat, it is easy to overlook that it is not the polished, modernized, commercial upscale spa expected by pampered purists. However, after days of hiking the 19 pools each varied in size and well posted temperatures provided a relaxing tonic for all aches and pains. The locker rooms were fine, the cost was not exorbitant and the privilege of marinating your skin in healthy mineral water was blissful. This is not your pristine spa nor is it priced like one, it is authentic, rustic, therapeutic and uniquely enticing.

Grace L.

Yelp
Drove two hours, purchased $26 tickets, and left to drive another two hours back home after 10 minutes... this place is pretty dirty. There are no max capacities, so the pools are PACKED with people. You won't find space to enjoy yourself. It's worth it to drive a couple more hours into the mountains to go somewhere a bit more expensive and a lot cleaner.

Dennis M.

Yelp
Sadly, this place is just horrible! First of all, the place is a mess, not well kept at all. They threw down so much rock salt on the walkways that our feet were bleeding. It was insane. Even though it was cold in December, there was no snow and walkways were clear, so there was no reason to use that much Rock Salt. Absolutely everything costs $$$, the towels, the lockers, the tickets, total was about $40 per person. Several of the pools were closed for mysterious reasons and looked terribly unkept. The young people who work there were delightful, but the older managers have a Surly disposition with a bad attitude mixed in. They obviously care not at all about the customer's experience. Conclusion: the people who run the place are the problem. I would not recommend this place at all. Most of all, I found the way they ran the place disrespectful to native people who considered the site sacred. That site is special. Don't treat it like garbage.

Yelp
I love Hot Sulphur Springs Resort. It's so relaxing and I love soaking my sore muscles in the water. The smell has never bothered me personally, and I love the health benefits of soaking in the waters. The cleanliness of the resort has improved. The only downside is that it does tend to get crowded and loud, but the top area tends to stay quieter. I've been coming here for many years and I intend to keep coming here for many more years.

Yelp
Prior to coming up I called the resort just to inquire information regarding driving in from Denver and staff were incredibly helpful and provided good tips. Luckily there wasn't any traffic driving here I was incredibly disappointed that an hour into our ride to this location we received a call canceling our massages due to an emergency occurring with one of the male masseuse. Now I completely understand that things happen beyond our control .. thats not what disappointed me but the fact that this is a resort with only two masseuse. The other one was booked so she couldn't take the  cancelled appointments. But I can not believe they couldn't call in another employee. You guys could literally serve so many more customers .. so we were offered a full refund or they opportunity to reschedule. But we are here from out of town so it wasn't an option. The staff person let us know we could still use the pools which was nice  but I haven't had a massage since 2019 or maybe longer. We were also informed that the showers were not avaliable. And for the life of me I can not figure why America think closing bathroom and showers will stop covid it is literally a solution. Their locker room is being remodled. None the less staff were super accommodating!!! I enjoyed the springs its important to note that the pools at the bottom of the hill are less warm which it why there is white is substance floating in the pool. It looks like bird feather but we were reassured they were not . The day we came it was a little crowded but we were able to visit other pools as we waited for traffic to shift.  **also important the sulfur will tarnish your jewelry. But the staff has jewleery cleaner to restore it so that's another important thing we weren't aware of . But none the less for $20 bucks it was cool im happy I came and the drive from Denver wasn't too bad. Staff recommend arriving via summit County which i  i drove the following day and it was worse than hwy 40.. so check the weather and traffic

Yelp
Stopped here Christmas Day with my family. We were staying in the area and my brother in law had never been to a hot springs so we figured we'd check this one out. Getting tickets was a breeze, no reservations needed, and they give discounts for military/veterans, first responders, educators, and health care. Now on to the actual hot springs. It was a let down. There's a lower level and an upper level. The upper level and area with the best pools is 12 and up. The lower area is pretty gross and the water in all the pools was cold. The hot springs were not even close to the temps advertised. And it was unpleasant in the winter to sit on the main level. The upper level had some nicer pools but they were also not even close to the temps advertised. The one pool that was actually nicely hot to sit in said 112 but it was maybe 105 and very small. Every other pool was chilly to be in. I get it's a hot springs but it seems crazy to charge people to swim in basically room temp water in the winter. I could see how maybe someone who was hiking in the area in the summer might swing in here for a quick dip but I don't think it's worth a special trip.

Yelp
Still yet again a wonderful experience. Stayed one night in the apt that gives you after hours perks. Stayed a 2ed night in room 109 which has a King sized bed with a double. Room was very clean with 1950's charm. I wanted to update my review specifically hoping the owner would read this, Thank you for the continued updates to the pools. The quality of the front desk staff has improved dramatically! Very helpful and friendly ladies!! Thank you for remodeling the women's locker room, it is clean and concurrent with todays decor standards. We watched as the men drained and cleaned the pools starting at 6am the other morning, they worked fast and efficiently as the pools were ready once the 8am crowd rolled in. Excited to see the new Expanded pool going in, also nice choice on the stone work. The only two quips I have this round is the small window in the apt does not seem to lock properly and please please up-pot the poor dying tree in near magnesium the pool.

Yelp
I'm not sure what all the bad reviews for this spot are? Full disclosure: we didn't stay here, just enjoyed the pools. First of all, the woman at the front was amazing and super helpful. She was so sweet and really made us excited about being there! We also thought the $20 was more than fair, we've been to other hot springs and this was a reasonable price. They have a TON of springs, one for everyone. We didn't go in the cooler ones (right outside the main door), but tried almost every other one. There were probably about 15, I recommend starting in the ~100 degree ones and moving up. Our favorites were the one in the back corner overlooking the water below, and the first one up the hill with an overhang, but they all were great. Was there floaties in all the pools? Yes - because they're natural and these are the minerals. If you want a chlorinated, clear pool, these ARE NOT FOR YOU. Make sure to wear flip flops because they do salt A LOT and your feet will hurt if you're barefoot. My fiancé was a huge fan, and if I didn't hate wrinkly fingers, we probably would have spent the whole day here.

Yelp
This place is run down and filled with flies and spiders. It smells unpleasant and the water feels dirty - something is floating in it that looks like white organisms, not minerals. It's a nice location with so much potential, but I'd recommend making the drive to Steamboat Springs or Glenwood Springs instead.

Yelp
I will give this place a one. It would have been a 4+ but it is Christmas Day and the only road out is blocked by a train, and it won't be moving for several hours. Now, this is, by no means, the establishment's fault; however, their complete indifference is very telling. We spent over $500 to stay here (two nights) and when I went to the front desk to purchase two water bottles ($1 per) the two girls manning the counter told me it was $5 as there was a service charge for credit cards. The were boldly indifferent to the amount of money I spent at this place. In fact, they were more interested in helping the people who climbed over the train to give them $28 to soak. I did call GM, who explained they were supposed to sell the water and just provide change to make up the $5difference, so two bottles and $3 in change. The sad thing is that many people will read this and think me the bad guy. Well, here's the deal. I can spend money in many places and don't need to fund poor employees. Can't understand why small town businesses struggle....

Yelp
The hot springs pools had a very strong sulphuric smell, massive amounts of algae and other scum floating in their springs. They also had large amounts of hair and slime on the walls and edges. Most of their pools weren't even registering above 98° temps. The only pools worth visiting were the ones on top outside. We do not recommend taking your children here. Their shower rooms need cleaned and updated. Take your own towels. Take flip flops as iced salt is on all their walks and it is very painful to walk on. There are many nicer springs to visit in the state. Do not waste your money here.

Yelp
We never went to any type of hot springs but did on this family vacation. We all had a good time The layout of the springs was nice and enabled us to go from pool to pool without difficulty. Different temperature pools gave options for the whole family Very natural and scenic setting. Traveler tip: wear sunscreen (do as I say not as I did as my parents used to say)

Yelp
Yes, the Sulphur smell is alarming but, if you decide to bathe here, don't let that ruin your meditative setting. $20.00 per person gets you a wristband, and an opportunity to try out numerous little settings of the hot springs. We had to book an appointment either over the phone, or on the website. We paid over the phone as well for a party of 6, and were required to wear a mask outside, to cross to the next hot spring pool, which to me wasn't very practical, considering that it wasn't proven that COVID was airborne. They did not, however require us to wear a mask inside the hot spring, which was weird because the hot spring we attended was crowded and beyond our party of 6. We enjoyed the first hot spring, which was a tent with plants. It was so peaceful and very isolated. We stayed there the majority of the two hours we were there. One of my friends totally got yelled at for not wearing his mask when crossing one of the bridges outside, and threatened us to get kicked out as a whole group. We didn't fight back, just getting yelled at felt horrible for my friend. On the second level, over the very top was gorgeous!! There were hot springs that were over 100 degrees, which was insane in the middle of September. There was this water fall and this random woman came up to us telling my group to try it as it was the purest water of the world: Mother Nature's calling to us!

Yelp
The spot books fast so make sure to make reservations. We had an absolute blast. I was kind of nervous because of the reviews however my experience here was nothing short of amazing. The springs are extremely hot and very refreshing during such cold weather. The facility was clean and there are changing areas, however the lockers are closed so you must carry your stuff around so be sure to bring a bag. Also Make sure you bring your own towel. There are multiple springs so you can enjoy yourself. Springs range from various temperatures - hot to extremely hot. Staff do not monitor how many people come each spring pool area therefore you must practice social distancing on your own. Some are small and only fit two people so get there early if you want to try a hot spring area. The facility only limits the number of people they inside during time slots. The reservations are blocked off in two hour increments. Two hours is plenty of time. This place SMELLS and your clothes will smell! Make sure to wash that night or else the area with your wet clothes will smell the whole room. The smell is an egg like smell. Also silver jewelry will turn a blackish color if wet in the spring so take off or request that the front desk clean it after!

Yelp
I reserved the cabin April 2-3, and upon arrival we discovered mouse feces and urine stains all over the mattress in the pullout couch. The mattress was covered in hundreds of pellets and had multiple urine stains from the mice, and pieces of their nesting material. Would never recommend and will never return. I have reported this business to the CDPHE and the Grand County Health Department.

Yelp
Awful service (or lack thereof). A few minutes after we paid $26 for a day pass, we were told we could not go into the pool due to lightning in the area. That's understandable, but they would not provide a refund or a rain check. Judging by the storm, it was not going to go away anytime soon. We never even had a chance to use the pool. Best to avoid this place. It's run down and the staff is incredibly rude.

Yelp
Stopped by while staying in Granby. They have 15 pools open as it is winter/spring. We can still see snow in mountains around. $20 per person doesn't matter if it's kids or adults. Kids under 12 has to stay in the lower pool probably because the upper pool deck has gotten temps. They do enforce this as well as masking. We were able to find a nice small pool that was warm enough as we had one child under 12. However the pool didn't have any seat so you had to sit on the bottom or squat in the pool. (Probably because I'm small) but the it was nice soaking in the hot spring. I have been to better and more well maintain hot springs so I can only give this one a 3 stars.

Yelp
Ok. So looking forward to hot springs and a deep tissue massage. It was a disaster. I know I was 15 minutes late and the front desk said no problem The facilities are reminiscent of a 1960 cinder block high school. The masseuse was fine but at the original time (20 minutes short). He just stopped said times up. In the middle of working on my IT band. Crazy The baths are nasty, the smell of rotten egg from the sulphur is everywhere. Needless to say, we didn't stay for the baths The front desk staff is ambivalent about everything Don't waste your $ or time!!!

Yelp
Pros: Big fluffy towels you can rent Water in hot springs is pretty hot Bathroom/locker room is really nice and updated Owner responded quickly to my email It's 50 cents to rent a locker Cons: Place is really old Most hot springs are really dirty looking with orange around the sides of the tub or on the seats The place badly needs to be updated A lot of the springs are small and are for only 2-3 people It's sulphuric springs, so it stinks. Bad. Like rotten eggs. My experience: I went with a group of girls. It was easy to rent a robe and get change for a locker. We go to the locker rooms (which were nice/updated), changed, and went looking for a hot tub/spring. We walked along a long boardwalk of hot tubs and passed on all of them, either because they were too small for 4 people or were disgusting looking covered in orange. I understand after a while the sulphur probably causes the orange on the tubs, but I feel like something could be done to prevent this or to clean it up. It honestly makes the place look dirty and not taken care of. Also , by this time we had noticed the awful rotten egg smell. We finally settled on a tub that had seating, wasn't covered in a bunch of orange, and had space for all 4 of us. We stayed for probably 20 minutes then decided to leave. The smell was awful and lingered with us even after showering. I also noticed this super weird secluded tub that I included a picture of. My advice to the owner: This place could be great if the tubs were taken care of and were updated.

Yelp
Hot spring pools: great variety of pools of varying temperatures and coverage...some are uncovered from the elements and some are. Family friendly. Recommend to bring your own towels and flip flops. Didn't visit changing area or public bathrooms. Lodging: bare minimum, old, grimey and dingy. No cell reception for non-Verizon customers. WiFi only works in their lobby area. The room smelled like air freshener when we walked in. If you're used to tent camping you can definitely sleep here for a night or so. If you're OCD, bring your own sheet or a sleeping bag. Bring a cooler and your own ice, pack drinks, food and snacks. There's no fridge or coffee maker in the rooms. You won't have access to their lobby coffee until 8am. Don't expect a typical hotel room. There's a couple bar restaurants in the area. Winter Park has a lot more variety but will be quite a drive if you're looking to do something besides just the hot springs.

Yelp
This was simultaneously a 5-star experience and a 1-star one. The 5-star part: the one pool that was actually hot, followed by a cool down in the magnesium pool. The 1-star parts: - the locker room was gross - an extra 50 cents to rent a locker - most of the pools drastically overstated the temperature

Yelp
I've been to a few different hot springs now and while some experiences have been better than others, this is the first time it's been BAD. It is expensive. The same price as NICE hot springs. It's an overpriced dump. The pools are very dirty, who knows what sort of bacteria colonies are floating around. If there was flesh eating bacteria found here I'd believe it. It is unfortunately built in a swamp full of mosquitos, and those suckers are giant and hungry. Just carry a can of bug spray around with you if you brave it I guess. I know some people complain about algae at hot springs.. I was more concerned about the lack of. Gross water that nothing good wants to live in. worst of all, there was a dead bird in the highest tub. when i told staff they said they werent allowed to remove it until animal control showed up. BUT THEY KEPT IT OPEN.
