If you're looking for a spot that combines incredible food, a vibrant atmosphere, and a stunning location, Hot Taco is the place to be! Nestled in a charming area, the scenery around this restaurant is absolutely beautiful—perfect for enjoying a meal while soaking in the local sights. Whether you're dining on the outdoor patio with a scenic view or nestled inside the cozy, stylish interior, you’ll feel instantly at home. The prices are fantastic for the quality of food you get. Every bite is bursting with flavor, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. From savory tacos to delicious sides, it’s definitely worth every penny! Google
We stopped by Hot Taco and were genuinely impressed. The Birria Ramen was the highlight, super flavorful and comforting. Definitely worth trying if you’re into birria. I also had the octopus taco, and it was great, it was tender and well-seasoned, not something you find everywhere. Good food, chill place. We’ll be back.

Google
I tried the Crunchy Birria, Elote, Queso with shrimp & caramelized onions and a Horchata. I would have everything again. At my table We also ordered fajitas, and Enchilada, everything was delicious. Very nice atmosphere and Our server Andres was great.

Google
This place is definitely a 10 out of 10. The food was excellent the frozen margaritas were made with Don Julio tequila. My daughter is Vegan there were plenty of options for her. The service was great. This place was too good to be true so go see for yourself.

Google
Server Claudia was excellent from start to finish. She welcomed us with a great attitude and was willing to answer all of our questions. Food was delicious and the portions were great as well. We will definitely come back.

Google
First time trying Hot Taco Street Taqueria, and I'm HOOKED ❤️❤️ Everything was delicious!! The food was quickly brought to our table, fresh, and super delicious 😋. I'm ashamed I have never stopped by here in the five years living out here in Lake Nona. DEFINITELY, going back.. no question. Do yourself a favor, try this place!! The staff was very helpful and friendly, smiling faces all around, very clean establishment, great parking.

Google
I had an amazing time here with my family here! Claudia was our server and she went above and beyond for us and was greatly attentive to us and everyone else she was attending, mind you the food was AMAZING as well. Flavorful, delicious, and savory all around. I seriously recommend it here and to order the Agua Frescas.

Google
Such a nice local spot! The food speaks for itself, but the service is top notch! Came in for a late night dinner and was able to have a fantastic meal with very pleasing service. Thanks Andres and the crew!

Yelp
These tacos were delicious. Larry loved the pulpo, fish and pork belly. The fish wasn't my favorite since it was battered but the chorizo verde and shrimp and pork belly were great. John loved the quesadilla and the rice. The beans were amazing. We also had the popsicles which were seriously incredible. The mango chili was much hotter than I expected. The coco was amazing especially for relief from the burning mango chili. D loved the cookies and cream. Those were special. The people were lovely and the restaurant comfortable with a nice patio. Def recommend this place.

Yelp
Good experience and good idea overall. Quick serve with wait service to your table. Let's start with the tacos. The steak and chicken were amazing with lime, pickled onions, and radishes. The Americano, which was ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomato were my kid's favorite. She also had a side of fries that she loved. The pastor taco did not quite hit the mark. The flavors were amazing, but the meat was dry and really chewy. Probably because that was not a popular choice for the night. The fresh juices, while sweet, were amazing with all the mixed flavors. Overall. The taco box was a great choice and we got to sample what they had to offer. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I wish I hadn't waited so long to visit and I can't wait to go back. The flavor of everything on my plate was perfect, authentic and fresh. The manager was out in the lobby checking on tables and clearing/cleaning multiple times during our visit. I can't wait to go back. As an aside, I didn't ask but I THINK they are owned by the same people/company who own Don Julio in town which honestly makes perfect sense because I love it there too!

Yelp
Only been here once and right before closing time. Quaint place and easy counter service. The service was very good and the staff at the counter were friendly and answered my questions about the menu. The menu is easy but we were trying to figure out what was the best bang for our buck if you know what I mean...lol. We ordered the shareable Quesabirria Box for $19.99 for 2. First time tasting anything with Birria and I have to say it was pretty good. The brisket dipping sauce was very well seasoned and good but the quesabirria itself w/o dipping is my preference. We also had chips and salsa just to get something crunchy. Why not...I need the crunch when eating Mexican food. Now as our Yelp Elite Joe S. would say; Would I return? My answer is Yes. There aren't many Mexican places close by that serve anything Pibil style, at least that I know of, and this place has a few items with pollo pibil, not the famous cochinita pibil, but the chicken version which I would like try. That being said, see you pretty soon Hot Taqueria! Good job on this place Don Julio's!!

Yelp
What better place to go to on taco Tuesday than hot tacos!! We were looking for a new taco place and stumbled upon here. It was so cute on the inside with very friendly staff. They were playing so nice Spanish music too. They even have outdoor seating with lighting and umbrellas!! The chef José came around to check on everyone and their food. Everything was a great portion. We definitely will be coming back here again

Yelp
The food was good! The service was awful. They struggled when we ordered in both English and in Spanish. We had to ask a few times for the margarita we ordered and they still did not give us the right one that we ordered. Pros: Interior is very nice The Fresca drinks are good Cons: Service was ROUGH You have to pay $5 for chips The soap dispenser in the bathroom squirted everywhere ruining my outfit for the day They forgot parts of our order No refills on drinks

Yelp
This place is great for a quick counter service meal. The inside is very nice and the bathrooms were clean. We ate outside on the patio for lunch. I ordered the Cali-burrito. It wasn't anything special but it was good. My friend got the Hot Taco burrito and said it was amazing (and it was huge). We shared chips and queso which was good. Our food arrived before our drinks and we had to go and ask about them after we'd had our meals for a few minutes. I think they'd forgotten to make them but after we asked they did bring them promptly.

Yelp
Ordered takeout and the food was delicious. The refried and black beans are probably the best I have had. I had the carnitas tacos, the meat was tender and very well seasoned.

Yelp
changed menu and not a fan. missing the goodness of basic Mexican food. missing things in my to go orders last 2 times.

Yelp
Got the queso, Doña pepa salad bowl and La Chingona burger which were awesome. The chicken and beef were cooked to perfection, hats off to the chef. Counter service was attentive and friendly and the manager came around checking on everyone. The place itself was very clean, saw the manager and others clearing the plates and cleaning the floor. Will definitely be back to try the tacos.

Yelp
I'd been eyeing this place for awhile and didn't realize they were owned by the same company that manages Don Julio and Lime, other Mexican restaurants. I enjoy some of Don Julio's dishes, so I was looking forward to trying some at Hot Taco. My group of 6 had no problems finding a table on a Friday night. The menu is conveniently labeled with vegan options including 3 different vegan tacos (Hongos/mushrooms, various veggies, and Nopales a seasoned protein). They were $5 each and relatively small sized. 3 of them made for a decent meal although I still would have had room for dessert if I wanted. My favorite was the Nopales and would recommend it even for nonvegans as the protein is well seasoned and rich! The Vegano taco (with various veggies) was simple and chunky, the least interesting of the 3. I wouldn't get that one again. Service was good, and the food arrived in the sequence the orders were placed. My friends and I had a good time, and everyone seemed to enjoy what they got. One person even got additional food to go. The nice decorated wall outside for a group photo at the end was also a plus!

Yelp
Randomly came across this place for a quick lunch before our flight home and it was amazing! The BEST chicken tortilla soup I have ever tried. And the tacos were also delicious! Would definitely come back. Love us some good Mexican food!!!

Yelp
Taco box comes with 3 drinks. You can choose which tacos you want. The birria was an extra charge but so worth it. Will be returning!

Yelp
This counter service Taco restaurant is from the same people who brought you Don Julio's Chickasaw, Don Julio's Waterford Lakes, Don Julio's Lake Mary, and Don Julio's Eagle Creek. I also think they're behind the 2019 announce Don Julio's Airport location as well (Still waiting). Ordering was easy as taco pie! There's a counter, a person, a menu and you... I'm sure you can figure it out from here. There are a LOT of tacos to choose from and I opted for the Mix and Match with 3 tacos with rice and beans. I went for the Shrimp and Pork Belly (one taco) which was amazing. Taco #2 (hehe) was the Chorizo Verde which I have never seen before and it was delicious AF. I wrapped it up with a birria as Don Julio's has my favorite birria taco so far (it's not greasy AF like some places). Having dined at Don Julio's plenty of times since moving to FL, It has become a family favorite. I will say I can probably eat cheaper at the sit down restaurant than at this place. There are more options here, but the birria tacos were much smaller than the Don Julio's version of the same taco. They also had some other items but I'd save those for the Real Don Julio's (please stand up) where you can use real silverware and get waited on. It's just a bit pricey for a counter service place, IMHO. $22 for 3 tacos, rice, beans and a drink seemed like a lot to me (Before tip). Would I return? maybe for the chorizo verde or that shrimp and pork belly which I haven't seen on the Don Julio menu. It's also kind of on the way home from the airport for me, so that would be the main reason. Other than that, I'll go to Don Julio Proper and fill up on a California Burrito and enjoy just the same!

Yelp
Tacooooo Tuesdayyyy or Taco Everyday when it comes to this place. This is my favorite taco spot in Orlando!! All of their tacos are super flavorful and just the right size and portions. Their freshly made juices and Horchata hit the spot every time. They have a flour tortilla option, which is usually hard to find. The restaurant is clean and the staff is always super nice. A must-try if you come to Orlando! You won't be disappointed!!
google avatar

Nelson R.

Yelp
Honestly when I also come here the only thing I get is the nachos, elote and or the quesabrillia box. Those items right there are absolutely delicious. For me it makes the trip worth it. I will say that it's on the expensive side of things and wouldn't come here on the daily but for a special occasion I would definitely come. The agua frescas are good but the no refills makes it unworthy to purchase it. The service here is great they are extremely accommodating and understanding. They do their job and provide excellent customer service. The ambiance is a great place for a few friends, a date or a hangout depending on the time. During night times the place can be extremely packed where as in the afternoon it isn't has crowded pick your time wisely if you are wanting to just spend sometime With a loved one.

Yelp
Nice folks. Good service. Just not great tacos, both wife and I agree. We love Mexican, Tex-Mex, Cajun-Mex, Asian-Mex. Just didn't dig the flavors.
google avatar

Andrea R.

Yelp
I came here for a lunch date on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside on the patio. It wasn't too hot and they have nice protective umbrellas covering for each table. There was mariachi music playing from the speakers as we ate. This is an "order, pay, then get the food delivered at the table" restaurant. I loved the seasoning in the meats and the guacamole was super creamy and refreshing. The Aguas Frescas self serve drinks were yummy and not too sweet, but they do not allow refills on them. We did not think the price points matched the value for such small tacos. It wasn't very authentic and I've never seen Mexicans put mayo ketchup on a seafood taco. The staff was very friendly and multiple employees welcomed us as first timers.

Yelp
You have not been afforded the ability to appreciate the exquisiteness of simplicity in life until youve enjoyed yourself at this taco stand. aye Eye i eye ye! So good all of it and to wash it down with alchihall even better! Tre BIEN!

Keaton F.

Yelp
Really good food and service but a bit pricey. I would highly recommend it and not just the tacos.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to hot taco over 7 times and it never disappoints, definitely one of the most under rated places in Orlando! The food is quality and is always fresh and presentable. It's fairly priced for the portion sizes. Great music, great atmosphere 10/10 for me. Claudia the server and the manager were so sweet made my experience even better! For the full video on my experience check out my page @ohaieli on Insta and Eliana.armas on Tik Tok . Hungry hippo out

Yelp
Thank you hot taco for making my valentines very special!!!! My boyfriend surprised me with my favorite lengua, tripa, and pastor tacos, formed in this beautiful heart shape. thank you Dessi and Patricia for your creativity!!! These are also some of the best tripa and lengua tacos ive ever had!!! The lengua and tripa is very lean, which isn't common at most taqueria shops.
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
My favorite taco spot when I go to Orlando. I was blown away by the flavors of the Al Pastor and Carne asada meat. The elote was flavorful a bit on the spicier side but still good. Just wished it had less corn threads. The habanero hot sauce was my favorite of the 3 and the spiciest. I didn't care for the rice and beans much but it has plenty of flavor too! It's on the expensive side, but then again so is every other taco spot now. Definitely making this a go to when I'm in town.

Ruth H.

Yelp
Excelente Comida y atención, muy buena recomendación de parte de su personal jorman, gracias
google avatar

Angie B.

Yelp
They increased the price. The food is very little amount for the price. Food quality wasn't very good either. They claim the higher price includes a drink but signs on the drink stand say no refills. Disappointed on how little food was served, poor quality and the 25% menu prince increase. We like to support local businesses and understand inflation but this place has gotten unaffordable. Unfortunately we won't be going back.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
I've been coming to this taco place for years, and it's always been a great experience. The tacos are always fresh and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. On Taco Tuesday, you can get two tacos for $4, which is a great deal. I usually get the barbacoa tacos, which are made with slow-cooked beef that is fall-apart tender. The horchata is also a must-try. It's made with fresh ingredients and is the perfect way to cool down on a hot day. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I highly recommend this taco place to anyone looking for a great meal.

Yelp
I was craving white queso and Birria tacos and found this spot on Yelp and decided to pop in and give it a try. I wish I could give this a 3.5 stars out of 5. When you check in you get a free white queso, WINNING!! Make sure you order some chips & salsa though because the queso doesn't come with any chips. (Wasn't a fan of the salsa.) the queso was delicious and perfect! I ordered a kids cheese quesadilla which came with rice and my son ate it right up so he seemed to enjoy it. It also comes with a beverage. I ordered the Birria quesadillas, the taste was good but they definitely weren't as crispy as I wanted them to be (and asked for) and there were a lot of fatty areas in the meat. Since the quesadillas weren't very crispy to begin with, they become soggy with the Birria sauce...so overall I'd give them like a 6.5/10. The spot is cute with indoor and outdoor seating available. I'd definitely come back to try their regular tacos, burritos and eat the queso again.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Our families absolute favorite eating spot! Everything is delicious but I personally always get the Cali Burrito 9 bags of chips lol and 1 guacamole the chips save in a zip lock bag forever
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
This might be my favorite Mexican food restaurant. Everything is good!! Service is fast, there is indoor and outdoor seating, and energetic music keeps things lively. It's the end unit in a plaza with plenty of shared parking.

Deanna K.

Yelp
Take out order server: cashier H Check #8, Ordered: 9/21/241 1 Chimichanga, 1 Chips & Salsa. I am home, ready to eat my $4.99 4oz. salsa & chips, and there is no salsa! This is the 3rd time they have left something out of my order. Shame on me for not making them un-bag the order, so I can do their job and do a check off of my orders! I called to let them know, they drop my call. I call back-they will give me a free salsa & chips when I come in next. I said, "I just want a credit," 3 times I tell them my information, after that I said you have waisted enough of my time and my money, I don't want the $5 dollars (it was the principle of the matter not the cash) I couldn't take anymore annoyance! The chimichanga barely had any cheese topping and it was 90% rice. I'm done with you Hot Taco! What you should have done was given me a credit for my whole order! Your incompetence is the last straw for me!
google avatar

Mel Z.

Yelp
I had heard of this restaurant opening but since it is far from me, I had not made it a destination. I was on the area and decided to see if they were as good as I have heard. They sure did not disappoint! The restaurant is inside a nice plaza at a corner. It has inside and outside seating and it is medium sized and nicely decorated. The staff is nice, friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions about the menu. I got the mix and match 2 tacos order that came with rice, beans and salsa. The tacos came with a good amount of filing and the rice was very tasty. The beans were good too. That salsa de arbol was authentic and gave it a nice kick to my chicken taco. I got the pollo pibil and the chorizo verde tacos and both were very good and tasty I will definitely be back if I am in the area and will try something different from their huge and varied menu!

Yelp
Omg. Amazing. I had the tilapia and my partner had the fajitas. Can't wait to go back there.
google avatar

Yelp
The carne asada tacos were delicious! Service was great with Chef Jose personally greetius and making sure everything was up to par! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Tacos and rice were served cold. I spoke with a server and she provided me with another plate of warm food. The steak didn't have much flavor/ seasoning. The steak in the taco was plentiful but the pieces of meat were too large to me. Rice and black beans have good flavor. The margarita had a strange flavor to me and I didn't care for it.
google avatar

Mayra R.

Yelp
Nice small place. Good customer service. Food was good but missing flavor but I give an A for effort.

Yelp
I've been on a birria taco kick lately so I was excited to see this new taqueria open up close by. This establishment is pretty no-fuss -- you order at the counter, take a number to your table, grab your own plasticware/ napkins/ drinks, somebody brings out your food, and then you buss your own table. The birria tacos were pretty solid but I was not wow-ed. I liked the presentation of the churros and how they came in a little cart! There are 3 different dipping sauces and plenty enough for me for the 4 churros.. however, I feel like it would look better if they were filled up a bit more to the rim or if you are an avid dunker you'd definitely want more sauce.
google avatar

Jose T.

Yelp
Good food and drink selection. Good service and friendly staff. The music is good and the wall art is very nice.

Yelp
The rundown: Large variety of taco options, sweet desserts, very friendly staff, vibrant setting. Tip - go for Taco Tuesday to save yourself a bit on select tacos. The sides on their own are slightly larger than what you would get in the meal so create your own by doing tacos individually and adding a side! The review: I came here to celebrate a friend's bday and I can see why she enjoys this restaurant. The first thing you will notice is the vibrant colors creating a buzz of excitement. Next, the menu is quite expansive. While the pricing is a bit pushing reasonable (some tacos are up to $4.50 ea) they serve up flavorful and delicious bites. I went with 2 of the basic tacos discounted for taco tuesday (pastor and beef) and paired with a mushroom and everything was phenomenal. Even the lime rice was incredible- some of the best I have tasted! Desserts were flavorful - we tried the chocolate flan (more like a chocolate cheesecake than a flan - I enjoyed very much and would recommend) along with churros. The churros come in a cute cart but for the price I'd recommend skip - I think the price is more about the presentation than the food in this scenario. The staff is super friendly and eager to make sure you have an great visit, pulling the entire experience together. I would not mind seeing more of these pop up, but for now when visiting Lake Nona area for some bites definitely swing by next Taco Tuesday!

Yelp
Hot Taco Street Taqueria is located in the Lake Nona Village. Be advised that the road leading here, Narcoossee Road, is an absolute nightmare, but once you get in here, the atmosphere is extremely pleasant. You can choose between sitting inside or they also have outdoor dining. Both are pleasant enough. The ordering process here is you approach a counter and place your order. They in turn will give you a number. You go find your seat and wait. I was torn between getting the Cali Burrito for the tacos. I actually ended up getting both. A magician to the Cali Burrito, I got a birria taco. The Cali Burrito was eleven dollars and the birria taco was three dollars and seventy-five cents. My food came quickly. As I tore into the birria taco first, I was a bit let down. It was OK, though nothing special. My Cali Burrito was even more the let down. Skimpy on the fillings and overall lacking in taste. Before a tip, my bill was just under sixteen dollars. I felt it was overpriced for what ultimately was mediocre food. Especially when you consider this is basically a fast casual place. I mean, they bring you your food, but you get your own drinks and clean up your own table. Ultimately, I cannot recommend here.

Mariano S.

Yelp
everything was very good. food was delicious and Luisa provided excellent service. some of the best tacos in Orlando.

Cassandra C.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible customer service.. just picked up an order from Uber eats on 5/31 @ 7:26 pm because they require you to order from there online(says preferred method of ordering ) ...my order was missing about $30 out of my $90 worth of items... not to mention I live 40 minutes away and some of my family doesn't have their dinner now .....I called the store to tell them what was missing and kindly asked for a refund of the missing items only & the guy who said he was not a manager but was the 2nd person to get on the line told me that I need to contact Uber Eats and there's nothing he can do to help me.... to replace the items, issue a refund, apologize... nothing. I will never come back here if a manager does not contact me and make this right.Period! Absolutely horrible customer service and the guy you had on the phone should not have his job

Yelp
You guys know me by now, I like full service dining but I need to say something about this little place in Lake Nona, suburban area of Orlando, if you ever feel like getting some really good tacos, fast and inexpensive, this is the place for you, that's exactly what we did on the way to pick up our granddaughter, never regret it one bit, friendly service and really good tacos, not fast food tacos, we really enjoyed our few minutes at this little place, try it out and let me know what you think, thank you...
google avatar

Yelp
Hot Taco is one of my favorite spots in Orlando! From street style tacos, to birria, to margaritas, I always enjoy my meal here! My go-to are chickens flautas, which are always fresh and delicious. The inside is super cute and trendy with great music, and our server Gabriel provided great recommendations. Check them out next time you're in Lake Nona!
google avatar

Kim R.

Yelp
First time here and first time eating birria tacos. First of off the inside was clean and busy. Had a good feel to it. I ordered 2 Birria tacos with black beans. It took a good 7-10 minutes for the food to arrive, but I can tell you it was hot off the grill so I was okay to wait even longer for that kind of freshness. The Birria tacos were flavorful and delicious. The lime juice I added made the dish, and the shells were crunchy despite me dipping them in the deliciousness of the sauce Which had a rich flavor without being too greasy. The black beans that came with the tacos were ok but seemed lightly seasoned. Not the star but a decent side dish. Overall a great taco joint and delicious food right across the street from where I live. I'll be back again to try their other tasty options.
google avatar

Claribel T.

Yelp
Delicious tacos with freshly made tortillas. Pictured is the taco trio of al pastor, carnitas, and birra tacos served with rice and black beans. The drink is a frozen mango margarita. We will definitely be back to explore their other menu items.

Yelp
I just love this place! Many moons ago I did an internship in Mexico City for graduate school and man, I fell in love with the food! I've spent most of my adult life in Phoenix where you can get Mexico City-style food. But since moving to Melbourne Florida a few years ago, I haven't found any great taco places locally until...... i discovered Hot Taco because SusHi Eatstation used to be my go-to whenever i had to make an airport run. One day I decided to try Hot Taco and it's now my go-to (sorry, sushi eat station!!). The Birria tacos are my fave but on today's visit I had one birria, one shrimp and one fish. Always delicious. I also ordered a Paloma (which came as a margarita instead, but I won't complain today). The Al Pastor is also delicious as are the nopales. The photo my phone is attaching is from my First visit.

Yelp
Greeted quickly and everyone was very nice. Place was clean. The strawberry refresher was really good, but no refills. The food was good. Guacamole was my favorite. The rice and beans to me had no taste to them. Otherwise it was good.
google avatar

Irene L.

Yelp
Food is really good here and the place is cute. It's not quite a full sit down restaurant in case you're looking for that. You order at the counter and take a number the food is brought to you. We had the guacamole, birria taco meal and Cali burrito. All delicious!
