Hotel 1875

We stayed here for our 2nd night in Antwerp. Stayed in a totally different part of the city the night before. After we arrived at this place we were extremely happy about the location, the neighbourhood, the atmosphere - just everything. We had to pick up the keys at a Café next door. The owner was on the phone and we had to wait a couple of minutes. The room itself was very small and very basic. For 2 friends a bit too tiny. For a couple it's doable. The bathroom door is one to swipe, so it's not really closed. We had a room next to the stairs. It was absolutely fine for what we paid. Easy, basic and perfectly located. The shower and the bathroom floor weren't mopped/cleaned but the rest was clean. Good for a night or two.

The room was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is awesome. The only adjustments come from the fact that there is no air conditioning if that is a problem (there's a window and fan in the room) which wasn't a problem for me. My room was comfortable and thr bathroom was very nice. I finally stayed in a hotel room with a shower with a complete door (it was very nice). I would stay there again.

Small hotel in the old city just by the pedestrian tunnel under the Schelde river. Recently renovated. Small room but clean and tidy. Excellent bed, nice bathroom. You can get a nice breakfast at the cafe French Toast which is a part of the hotel. Numerous bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and eager to help with everything. Good Wi-Fi. Happy to return.

Stayed November 2015, traveled on business Let's start with the only good side: it is centrally located and very close to a free parking lot. And that's it. What I usually look for in a hotel, this one does not have. Cleanliness, no. Friendly staff, no. Good maintenance, not at all. Try to ask something to the lady at the reception. She looks at you like she gets disgusted by you. Add these up with that some rooms do not have toilets. Then you go, "Shared toilet? Am I in a hostel or something?" Wait, surprises do not end there. Do you expect your room to be cleaned during your stay? Forget about it. I think they don't even clean the room after a visitor leaves. My stay in this hotel was the worst experience I had in many years.

Good value for money. The location is great, right in the city center. The room was basic, but very clean. The staff is very polite and friendly and they even allowed us to do the check in at 10am. I would say is a good price for value ratio.

Construction site at the moment, old pub renovated style, whole floor share one toilet, bed very uncomfortable, everyone can hear everyone! No common area, no reception most of the time, so really not a hotel. Maybe better when all this construction is finished.

Really enjoyed my short stay in this charming old hotel with its perfect location and feature spiral staircase .Rooms quite airy, breakfast more than adequate and genuinely helpful staff ensure I'll be making a return visit. Be sure to take a walk under the river via the adjacent Sintannas tunnel, a truly unique experience.

Super hotel, really good location to be in the town. There is a nearby big parking lot, where you can park your car for longer. Really adequate breakfast and nice old rooms.
