La Maison 20 Degrés Sud Boutique Hotel - Relais & Châteaux

My husband and I checked into this gorgeous hotel last Thursday and from the moment we arrived we’ve had the most incredible experience. This truly feels like a 5-star hotel, the level of service we received was second to none, our room was spotless, and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved that the half-board option offered a proper sit-down, fine-dining experience each evening rather than a buffet. The drinks at the bar were fabulous, with an impressive selection of high-end spirits, wines and cocktails. Every single staff member we met was warm, personable and genuinely kind and they really left a lasting impression on us. Although we weren’t able to experience the Lady Lisbeth dinner due to the weather, the beach and the setting are gorgeous, and the team truly went out of their way to make our stay special. Free shuttles to Grand Baie, free use of paddle, snorkelling equipment etc and they arrange all your excursions for you without adding on loads of hidden and extra costs like other hotels do. Thank you to everyone at 20° Sud for making this part of our honeymoon so memorable. We’re already recommending it to all our friends who are thinking of visiting Mauritius.

Had a wonderful lunch at 20 Degrés Sud. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the amazing staff, creating a truly pleasing and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious — hats off to the chef for such a delightful culinary experience! Definitely value for money. A special thanks to Neeraj and team for their outstanding service. This was our second visit, and it certainly won’t be the last!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, food for breakfast and dinner was great! The only downside is that this place of the island is quite windy, when you leave the hotel and go to one of the nearby beaches the wind is much calmer. But the overall experience was very good, especially the service is excellent 👌

My stay at 20 Degrés Sud was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had discovered a hidden gem. This boutique hotel is perfect if you're looking for peace, privacy, and a touch of luxury without the crowds.||||The atmosphere is calm and intimate which made the whole experience feel incredibly personal and relaxing. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make sure I had everything I needed, always with a smile.||||One of my favourite spots was by the pool, where you can lie back under the shade of coconut trees and soak in the stunning view of the bay. I found myself just sitting there, doing absolutely nothing, and loving every moment of it.||||The restaurant was another highlight. Dining with the sea right in front of you was a dream. The food was delicious, and the setting was so peaceful. ||||If you’re looking for a quiet escape with beautiful views and heartfelt service, I can't recommend 20 Degrés Sud enough. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave.

You will not find a hotel in Mauritius where you feel so special. The staff are incredible, kind and attentive (special shout outs to Nikesh, Denis and Sayed), the food is impeccable, the rooms are beautiful. The hotel is private, but it's so close to Grand Baie (by car or by the little ferry boat the hotel provides!) If you are looking for a place where you won't find fault, this is it. Even on the day where the rain unfortunately flooded our bathroom, they had it sorted, helped move all of our stuff in minutes to a new (even better) room, and it was dealt with so easily. If you have a chance to do the catamaran dinner, it's a bit of a splurge but it's such a good treat - and at least treat yourself to one spa treatment, the team takes such good care of everyone. I couldn't rate this hotel more highly!

This is a lovely, small Boutique hotel in a quiet area of Grand Baie. ||We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and only have good things to say about it. We stayed in a charm room which was more than adequate for 2 of us. Good size bathroom and also had outside shower and patio. Beach area is small but private with beautiful views of the Bay. Good facilities included boat shuttle to Grand Baie, free bikes which we used to visit Trou aux Biches and Cap Malheureux, kayaks, paddle boards etc. We were on a half board option which worked very well. Food at both breakfast and evening were excellent with plenty of choice available.On a couple of nights we had a live piano player and a guitar duo who were both very good. Also we had afternoon tea and cake at 4pm daily which was complimentary. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace and quiet in a wonderful location. ||The only slight disappointment was that could not walk along the beach for very far and we felt the cost of drinks was a bit on the expensive side eg cheapest bottle of wine is £40.

Just spent 12 wonderful nights at the charming 20 Degres Sud. We had a beach front room with a terrace and it was a joy to be so few steps from the ocean. The beach itself is relatively small but feels spacious and there was always plenty of available sunbeds. The free boat across to Grand Baie was really handy and a fun way to pop into town.|We were on the half board package and the food was excellent. There was a good range of choice and we particularly enjoyed the curries. We went out for dinner on a couple of occassions so we swapped dinner for lunch, which was a simpler menu as you would expect, but nevertheless very good.|However, the thing that made this such a memorable stay was the staff. The service was exceptional. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and just couldn't do enough for you. The was the case throughout the hotel, from housekeeping, to waterports, to reception, and we particularly enjoyed the service and company of the guys in the bar and restaurant. There are just too many names to mention individually.|Overall, this is an exceptional boutique hotel in a great location, and we will defintely be returning at somepoint hopefully in the not too disant future.
