I never saw anyone and never even spoke to anyone. Everything done by text message - a first for 78-yr-old me - but VERY efficient. One night stopover en route to Girona airport and no complaints at all. If this is a hotel of the future, then bring it on!

Clean, but very simple, nearly barren room with a very small bathroom ... too small and simple for the 93 EUR we paid for it. Location is OK, although there were lots of road works in Besalù, making it a less nice place to stroll around. You cannot park your car close to the hotel. Reservation procedure was very complex and almost paranoid. They may have had bad experiences before, but still ...

The reception closes at 13:00, but check in is at 15:00. We need to send our id documents, which I don’t like. Also the service treatment wasn’t kind. Rooms are TINY and the compress 3 beds for three people, but there are not wardrobes or space. Max 1 or 2 ppl per room. We wouldn’t recommend this place.

Perfect location, clean and bright rooms, space for relaxing and preparing food including a microwave. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Perfect location in the heart of Besalú. Comfortable beds, excellent host, great lounge space that creates another area to work or socialize. Many many shops and restaurants nearby for all your meals. Great wifi

This is a small hotel that is located in the center of the village, 1 block from the main plaza. Arriving to the hotel and parking the car overnight in free public parking, was made easy by discussing in advance with the hotel Manager, Noela, which I would recommend. We parked within a 5 minute walk. Checking in was easy and included breakfast that was nice and met our simple needs (cheese, meets, bread, juice, coffee). The room is small, but clean and quiet during our 1 night stay. The bathroom is also small. The room had a/c which worked well and was quiet. The bed was somewhat hard and the pillows were oversized, perhaps other pillows were available if we had asked. The hotel staff (Noela) is not available onsite 24x7 but leave a phone number should you need something. We would stay here again.

This small beautifully kept hotel is in the center of the village, a few minutes walk from the main square and the major sights. Parking is in public areas and if traveling by car you can drive up to unload suitcases by reception before parking in these areas nearby. We arrived very late after a long drive-Noelia the manageress had provided us with a key code for the hotel entrance and our keys were waiting for us on the reception desk. We met her the following morning at breakfast (included) and she proved to be a delightful and helpful host. Breakfast is a good combination of meats and cheeses, various breads and pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal and beverages. My room was on the 3rd floor (elevator /lift available) and was bright, clean and very comfortable with a great view of the rooftops and mountains. For those unfamiliar with this part of rural Spain, main meals are generally taken in the early afternoon and not all restaurants are open at night or late. The hotel has a small comfortable bright commons room on the 3rd floor with a refrigerator and microwave for evening snacks, and a small bar area in the breakfast room open during the day for beverages. Clean, comfortable, quiet, highly recommend this hotel.

This was an overnight stop for us. The hotel is small and situated in the old town.we parked in the public car park just outside the old town by the roundabout. It's only a short walk to the hotel over cobbled streets. When we arrived the reception door was locked, no-one came when we buzzed the door. But eventually we entered as someone was coming out. Evidently the staff also run the café, so maybe it would be best to go through that way. The hotel was very clean and the beds comfy. Breakfast was the usual continental. They could do with an automatic toaster though! Everyone had trouble with it and the staff continuly turned the temperature up and down.
