Hôtel 4 étoiles de la Place du Louvre Paris 1er - Esprit de France

I have just spent four nights at the Hotel Place du Louvre (Jan 2026) - what a lovely hotel. The staff are warm and friendly (and very helpful). The room was beautiful - I stayed in a Superior Louvre room (401). Elegantly decorated, bathroom with a bath and functional counter space. The room is large by Paris standards, limited storage for clothes/luggage. Nice touches included towelling robes, extra bedding (it was very cold during my stay), strong wifi, complimentary water (still and sparkling), nice toiletries etc. There was some noise on the first night (morning) due to rubbish collection and a building site. This only occurred one day as I think the heavy snow then ceased operations. There is a small elevator which helps with luggage, although I used the stairs most days. Breakfast is served in the subterranean 'cellar' with a domed limestone roof - it really is a lovely room. Good choice of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries and bread, cheese and meat selection, scrambled eggs/bacon/sausages. Other egg options available on request. Coffee ok (I'm from Melbourne so the bar is high). As noted, the staff are very warm and friendly. It snowed heavily while I was there so the convenient location was immensely useful - it's right behind the Louvre, close to multiple Metro stops, an easy walk to the Left Bank, Marais, Concorde etc. The only (very minor) reflection is the downstairs (ground level) lounge area is not very welcoming. It feels like an airport business centre. Given the beautiful decoration in the guest rooms, this feels like a lost opportunity. The complimentary afternoon tea (drinks, cakes etc) would be far more pleasant if the environment was nicer. Application of the guest room wallpaper would probably make the lounge immediately more cosy. This of course is nothing in the grand scheme of things :) All in all, I highly recommend.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. It's a charming place..only 20 rooms. We had a wonderful view of the Louvre outside our window. Within the block is eating, shopping. Pont Neuf and even Batobus stop. Our room was large with huge windows which opened into our room. Our bathroom was large stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner and lotion There was air conditioning, a lift also. The staff is wonderful and treat you like family.

We stayed here for 4 nights during our time in Paris.||Firstly, the location is incredible, right near the Louvre and in the middle of multiple train stations, making it easy to get around.||The hotel is very thin (tiny staircase & elevator); if you are claustrophobic, it is most likely not for you. The staff were lovely and very accommodating.||For the room, our AC was not working for the first day, and they needed to fix it (and compensated us by providing breakfast for our stay). The bed was fantastic. The bathroom was very small.||The breakfast was nice, but I wouldn't pay for it, basics with a few hot food items, bread, cereal etc.||The hotel itself is in a side street across from the church. There is a homeless person living directly across from the hotel. ||Overall a decent stay, good value for money for location but don't expect to be blown away.

Beautiful hotel with a great view out of large fully opening windows. The bathroom is fully stocked with toiletries and there were even bath robes.|There is a lift and air conditioning as well as afternoon tea. A plentiful breakfast is also available for a small charge

I wish I could rate higher than 5. This is the perfect hotel in Paris. Only 15 rooms, a great location just behind the Louvre, with a warm and helpful staff. We were welcomed with champagne which set the tone for a perfect visit. The breakfasts were very good and tea was served in the lobby every afternoon. I truly hated to leave.

It had the best bed I have ever slept in, like sleeping in a cloud! I booked this property because of location. So close to the louvre and metro. It is lovely, the staff is kind and helpful. The hotel group had other properties around Paris too.

The staff was wonderful, particularly Merina. I had another accommodation fall through at the last minute and was frantically trying to find a place to stay. Merina could see how frazzled I was. She gave me a glass of champagne to calm me down, was kind and thoughtful, and searched for and found an adaptor for my electronics. The hotel is in a wonderful location, one block from the Seine, in a vibrant part of Paris.

60 yr old couple. Chose this hotel, which was on the back end of a river cruise, for its proximity to Louvre and Notre Dame and wasn't crazy expensive. Staff at front desk were excellent. Check in was easy on a Tuesday morning. No others checking in. Room not ready, held out bags. Had a honors bar/drink sitting area off the lobby. Also had a computer set up for use should you need it. Called my cell when room was ready. When we returned they had already put our bags in our room, nice! Typical European elevator for these type hotel. just fits 2 people. Room was decent. had everything you could want. bed comfortable. Bathroom very small in room we had on 2nd floor. I just barely fit in the small confined area where the toilet was located in the Bathroom. This room had a Tub/shower combo. be ware if you are older and have stability issues the tub is High to step into. they do have other bathroom configurations as the front desk staff mentioned at check in so be sure to check with them on this. Also tub has 1/2 glass wall as shower curtain so water gets everywhere. shower set up was good, hand held nozzle, good water pressure and hot water. sink area ok. decent lighting through the bathroom and room. no real 'view' at 2nd floor level as situated amongst other buildings of similar height. walking distant to Nrotre Dame and across street from Louvre. 3 blocks away from a happening neighborhood with bars and restaurants a plenty. all in with taxes was around 300 for the night. would recommend just be ware of bathroom configuration.

My family went to Paris last spring. We occupied 6 rooms in this hotel. The staff was wonderful, helpful and in every way made our stay memorable! Highly recommend this hotel!!!

J'aime toujours! Have been staying here on family trips since I was little, was very excited to return as an adult. Wonderful. Warm, charming, helpful staff; an unbeatable location; gargoyles outside your window. What more can you ask? Good strong internet and AC in every room! Can't wait to return.

After a bad Airbnb experience, we switched to this hotel and never looked back. Rooms are warm and clean. Bathroom was spacious and posh. Staff was warm and helpful. Location is amazing. Right in front of the Louvre Museum and walkable to many top locations, including Norte Dam.

Sophie greeted us warmly and helped us with our plans and museum tickets. Our 3 night stay here was very comfortable. The location is fantastic; it is across the street from the Louvre, a 10 minute walk to the Notre Dame, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Amenities included cable high-def t.v., an electric kettle, and free wi-fi.
