Clean small room centrally situated near |transport options. |Everything you needed in your room including |kettle coffee and milk. |George communicated well and instructions to enter the hotel were clear and easy to follow. |I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Hidden Gem that I researched and the reviews delivered. George is a champion, service is good and the location even better on the fringe of Potts Point and the Cross. Rooms were much better than I thought and very quiet considering the location to the bustle. Close to good food venues also. Didn't get a chance to try the café downstairs but next time. I will always stay here as it's a good fit and fairly priced.

I think I had bed bugs. I asked to have the sheets changed. I got an attitude. The walls are thin. Hopefully you have quieter neighbors during your stay. The shower room is small. I would not stay here again. The hotel is not far from a metro station. You can feel the metro station. The room I was allocated had a neighbors landing light on all night. I doubt the owner cares to change the window covering to stop this light coming into the room all night long.

I booked a superior double room, but didn't get the room that was pictured on the website, very misleading, I asked the owner about breakfast, he said you don't get one, I said it's on your website, free breakfast, he said show me, so I showed it to him on my laptop, he pretended it was an old website, and anyway what do you expect for $140 a night, then literally told me he could tell me to f... off If I didn't like it, an arrogant and rude man, he told me you booked a room only which is false, as I booked the room because of the free breakfast, I hardly booked the room and said by the way I don't want breakfast, perhaps the owner is not aware that if you rent a room in a hotel you have certain rights which I'm sure includes the right not be verbally abused, two lights in ceiling not working, ceiling fan not working, no microwave, milk in fridge was off, plug sockets in the bedroom where you have to literally crawl on your hands and knees to use, but hey, I certainly didn't let this rude man spoil my Sydney break.

Hotel 59 is a wonderful place! The location is just great - very close to the train station and the hotel is easy to find. My room was clean and cozy with everything I needed. George and his sister Katerina are nice , helpful and friendly people. My breakfast was really yam! Katerina cooks great! You do not have to go anywhere else for breakfast. When I go to Sydney again, I will definitely stay in Hotel 59.

This room was exactly what I needed - small, no fuss, and in a great location. Had been to Sydney many times but never stayed in the Cross, and I would easily return here. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable and George was very easygoing and happy to answer questions. I was able to use the communal ironing facilities (though the board could do with replacing), and sometimes the wifi didn't work in my room, but past that I was happy with my stay and would recommend!

Dated and a bit worn, I stayed here for 6 nights and will happily stay again. I asked for a quiet room and was given room 5 at the back of the property. Clean, nice and quiet. George is very kind, personable, and the included breakfast is fantastic. I'm really going to miss their scrambled eggs and bacon. Delicious! Amazing location, too. They're at what is basically the end of a street (so very quiet), but so very close to Kings Cross station and oodles of eating and drinking establishments.

Yelp
The husband and I loved staying at hotel 59. This place was perfect. We loved the location (near King's cross station). The room was large and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable, which is so rarely the case when traveling. The price was affordable. We stayed for a few nights and when we returned to Sydney we wished we could stay there again, but they were all booked up. I would definitely recommend!
