I highly do not recommend this hotel. This is probably the 10th hotel I have stayed at in Singapore over the past 1.5 years. And I didn't think that for that kind of money everything could be so bad. Starting from the politeness of the staff (it seems they just don't like people) and ending with the quality of the rooms. I rented two of the best rooms for two nights. After the first I moved out as soon as I woke up. The night was hellish. The ventilation was noisy and smelled, the windows couldn't be opened, the curtains looked like no one had ever washed them, and someone was biting me in bed. My wife ran away on the very first evening, refusing to spend the night. I was left alone with my son, because he had already fallen asleep. I don't know who writes positive reviews about this hotel. It's surprising how such a hole ended up in such a prestigious area.

the room was good, it was the value of its price, but the TV seems not working properly. Overall, it was a good stay, it's really close to 7Eleven and nearby resto and super close to the bus station. It's a peaceful environment too, so it is very strategic from our pov.

Kinda have a doubt when We read a review about this hotel, where a man got disturbed by something and someone biting him, well, but when we arrived there, the atmosphere is soo calming, Japanese hotel? I got the vibes, my friend and I sleeps really well. It feels safe, the location is so beautiful and feels like you can go back to the past, with the well preserved old building near the hotel. There are many pubs tho, but we never heard any commotion nearby, we're on 3rd floor and the most inner corner room, maybe you can ask the same or closer to that room. And one more thing, the important one, you can get an endless supply of drinking water, so this is sooo helping us to stock water first before the long journey around the city, better than buy a water bottle for SGD 2, bring your big capacity bottle water. Have a noice stay.

Avoid this hotel if you can. The pictures shown in their website and in platforms are very misleading. The entire place smells like mold and that is noticeable when you enter the premises. Our room confirmed the issue with visible black mold that was badly covered with some paint some time ago. The room was a complete mess with a broken shower head and bad hygiene of towels and bad sheets. We ultimately had to leave after one night, having not received any refund from the hotel or booking.com. We both had respiratory issues after the first night. We later learned that the hotel is locally known for being an hourly hotel. That justifies the high noise levels throughout the night.

I’ve stayed here several times already. Managed to get a room on the 2nd level this time where it was less noisy. However..should there be a mini refrigerator provided, it would be just ideal! Other than that..all good for a short stay. Thank you.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel 81 Sakura during our visit to Singapore in December. We booked two rooms, and both were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with thoughtful amenities like a mini fridge, hair dryer, and even a bath tub, which added a touch of relaxation to our trip. The hotel is very reasonably priced, making it an excellent choice for families or travelers on a budget. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring we felt at home throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality truly stood out and made our experience even more enjoyable. Toothbrushes provided are not in good quality. Appreciate if they provide water bottles more. We don't like to refill water from the bathroom area. Or they could have water purifier at hotel to refill the bottles. Prefer if they have washroom facilities in the lobby area. Overall, Hotel 81 Sakura is a fantastic option for those looking for a cozy, affordable, and conveniently located place to stay in Singapore. We wouldn’t hesitate to return on our next visit and highly recommend it to other travelers. Keep up the great work!

Hotel was clean and had a great hot shower, had good AC, small fridge, comfortable bed. Sink leaked but they were willing to give us a new room. Room was very tiny and no windows, but fine for an overnight and less expensive than most other places. Walk to MRT was a littler far with all our luggage, so we took at $S 8.

A reasonable size of room for standard queen room. No fridge but room is clean. I was let early check in around 10am by paying an extra $20. Location is good. Bus stops are nearby and the closest mrt is 17 min away. Lots of cheap eat in the area. Plenty of food centre nearby. Less than 20 min from Changi airport by grab.

Yelp
Clean cheap hotel in Singapore. Not looking to spend a fortune on a room that I only intend on sleeping in. Staff is very nice, check in was 3pm but we arrived at 9am. Front desk told us to come back by 11am and they would try to get us in earlier. They watched our luggage while we wondered the city. The heat got to us so we ended up coming back to the hotel by 10:30, no problem the front desk said. The thoughtful front desk clerks got our room ready at 10:30, so we could relax after our long flight. Also worth mentioning, there are places to eat everywhere around this place, great for foodies
