My sister and I have just returned from a 4 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. We loved our stay. The hotel's location is really handy to everything and the staff are very helpful. Our room was brilliant - a great size with a spacious bathroom and it was also very clean and well furnished. Our room was also ready when we arrived, which we really appreciated. Breakfast in the morning was also great, as was your choice of hot drink which was made for you. Thank you for our wonderful time and we hope to return again.

I was disappointed with the value for money at Ad Hoc Monumental. For the price I paid, the facilities felt outdated and not up to standard. I had stayed at Catalonia Excelsior for less, and it was noticeably better. The room was very small, with awkwardly placed old-style electrical outlets and no designated space for luggage—mine ended up on the floor. The amenities were minimal: a kettle with two teabags, no coffee, no creamers, and no minibar. On top of that, I was woken up around 1:30 a.m. by loud noises from what sounded like the neighboring room taking a shower—walls are thin, and sound carries easily. While the hotel has a quaint and charming look, it also feels quite worn, and I think the price should reflect that. I also had an issue with the TV, and although a staff member said they’d come help, no one ever showed up. The location is cute, but overall, I didn’t feel it was worth the cost. Oh, yeah- and the bed, though comfortable, felt super rickety. Felt afraid I’d break it!

I chose this hotel because of the reviews. Definitely not a hotel of excellence. I was so disappointed as for 6 nights I asked for a room with a terrace as I had upgraded from a single. The road noise was horrendous and it was a Juliet balcony on first floor so I asked to move room immediately and I moved into a much smaller room on the back which was nicely furnished with brick wall. It was quiet except for last few days with very noisy neighbours. My big problem was the housekeeping. Every day apart from one, nights, I either had no hand or no bath towels, and a couple of times they had not replaced the silly bags of shower gel / shampoo. There was a bottle of water the first day but after that none. I checked with reception and they said it was only the first day they put water in the rooms. and if I wanted one it was over 3Euros for a 1.5 ltr bottle. The supermarket was .75! I was shocked as it is not a cheap hotel. Luckily I had not prepaid for breakfast as it was in a soulless area which housed the bar and evening restaurant and the choice of food was not great.boring . The hotel had no where to sit apart from the entrance hall that had two two seat sofas. Most of what they say the room has it does not have. No laundry list, the tv was the smallest flat screen tv I have ever seen and you could hardly see it from the bed. Nothing like what they say they have. The receptionist on the whole were not helpful at all and were quite brusque. It definitely was not worth over 900 euros for 6 nights.

I had a truly lovely stay at Hotel AdHoc Monumental in Valencia. The location couldn’t be better - right in the heart of the city, with all major attractions just a few minutes’ walk away. Whether it was exploring the Old Town, enjoying the vibrant plazas, or finding excellent places to eat nearby, everything was incredibly convenient. The hotel itself has a beautiful old-world charm with tastefully done rooms that reflect the character of the building. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality from the front desk staff. From the moment I made my booking, Angelo was quick to respond to my query - a reassuring start. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome from Roberto, who not only made the check-in seamless but also gave me excellent tips to explore the city like a local. Mirko was incredibly helpful in figuring out my bus and train options for onward travel, and Nico came to my rescue at midnight when I realised there were no towels in the room - he sorted it without hesitation. I might be missing a name or two, but every person I interacted with at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making the guests feel comfortable. The only minor issue was with the housekeeping staff on my floor - they were quite loud while chatting and it went on for a really long time, at least a couple of hours. It felt like they had a lot of free time and were using the guest floors as a hangout space. It would be great if the hotel could provide them with a dedicated break area to avoid disturbing guests who might be resting. That said, it didn’t overshadow the overall experience. If you’re looking for a well-located, charming hotel with a fantastic front desk team, Hotel AdHoc Monumental is a great choice. I’d happily return!

Lovely hotel and good price. The rooms are big for a city centre which we weren't expecting. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as close to everything but on a quieter street which was handy during Fallas. Only reason why a 4 and not a 5 is the rooms are a little basic. Wardrobe for hanging clothes but no drawers for anything else. Otherwise, perfect spot and would definitely use again.

This hotel is situated in a perfect location close to the Cathedral in the centre of Valencia. The staff are polite and very helpful. The rooms are a good size and clean and you have space to move about. Breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold. Our flight was cancelled and the staff were helpful in arranging us an extra night, taxi to the airport, printing out boarding cards, and very receptive to our requests. It was a lovely stay in the hotel, and we mostly walked as in the central of Valencia.

Lovely hotel, well located for old quarter and Turia gardens. Advertises it's pet friendly but in fact when you arrive there are strict rules for dogs including wearing a muzzle and being on a lead, not allowed in the restaurant and not allowed to be left in the room alone. My husband and I had to have breakfast one at a time because of the dog. The breakfast staff were unfriendly, didn't explain the system or that there were eggs as part of the menu. Because of the relay breakfast I arrived towards the end of the service and there was little left, it was not replaced. The second day I was automatically served coffee without being asked. I was disappointed as I had specifically searched a dog friendly hotel. The rules should be included in the advertisement.

Great hotel, highly recommended.|Good location for a visit to Valencia, rooms are large with comfortable beds.|Breakfast is nice with helpful, friendly lady running the service.|Staff at the reception were exceptional, especially the gentleman who helped us when our British Airways flight home was cancelled. Despite there being four of us, with golf bags, at very short notice, he found us a large enough taxi to drive us to Barcelona to catch a different flight. Thank you so much!!!
