Hotel Ad Hoc Monumental

Previous favourable comments are correct. Clean , comfortable friendly staff in a quiet location just minutes from the Cathedral. The hotel arranged our taxi , waiting at the airport for us. Judging by a fellow hotel guests comments about taxis in Valencia the 27 euros we paid in advance for it was the right decision. On average we paid between 6 - 8 euros for a large beer and a glass of white wine. A visit to the Cathedral , central market and city of arts and science is well worthwhile. We ate Boatella Tapas bar right opposite the main market entrance for 2 of our 3 nights.

Lovely hotel, well located for old quarter and Turia gardens. Advertises it's pet friendly but in fact when you arrive there are strict rules for dogs including wearing a muzzle and being on a lead, not allowed in the restaurant and not allowed to be left in the room alone. My husband and I had to have breakfast one at a time because of the dog. The breakfast staff were unfriendly, didn't explain the system or that there were eggs as part of the menu. Because of the relay breakfast I arrived towards the end of the service and there was little left, it was not replaced. The second day I was automatically served coffee without being asked. I was disappointed as I had specifically searched a dog friendly hotel. The rules should be included in the advertisement.

This hotel was a very big disappointment especially after reading all the good reviews. When we arrived the room was dirty and had not been cleaned properly. There was dust all over the spare bed, grapes stalks lying on the floor, dirt and hit all over the floors. The bathroom had water all over the floor and hairs left in the shower. The room smelt dusty and had a weird smell to it. This is not a quality of a 3 star hotel, it is between a 1-2 star hotel. The breakfast was limited and not worth its value. This is completely overrated and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Charming boutique hotel, great service, very friendly and helpfull people. Located on walking distance from the beatifull squares.

Stayed here for a two night break in January 2022. We caught the Metro from the Airport to Alameda and then walked the 10 minute walk through the park to the hotel. ||||Staff at the hotel were very nice and spoke brilliant English. We were offered a set breakfast which we had to order in advance. We also had to state what time we were going to have breakfast. This wasn't ideal, but I appreciate that they have their own covid measures to think of.||||On the ground floor by the restaurant there was a bit of an eggy sewer smell. Thankfully we were staying on the third floor well away from here.||||We opted for a room at the back of the hotel. The only window looked out into what I can only describe as a ventilation shaft, full of other windows and air conditioning units. This didn't really bother us, but may irk others. The bathroom was a great size with a powerful shower. The room was clean and was made up for us daily. ||||On departure the staff kindly agreed to look after our bags for us as we had an evening flight back home.||||The only real downside for us was the lack of coffee facilities. There was nothing in the room and no communal facilities either. Other than that we had a great stay!

Located in the old city the hotel was perfectly placed. Close to Turia Gardens/Park (worth a visit) and the centre of Valencia.||The staff were very helpful and friendly, showing us many of the tourist attractions on a map. We were surprisingly upgraded to a lovely suite, with plenty of room as well as a terrace. Amazing! We are grateful to the hotel staff for organising this. In addition, the barman of the Amberes Wine Bar attached to the hotel was very attentive to our needs, going the extra mile to ensure we were happy with our visit. We are happy to recommend this hotel for a stay in Valencia.

This is a very nice hotel. Check in was pleasant and easy, and the clerk gave us a first class restaurant recommendation for dinner. Our room was on the top floor and had a nice sitting area, in addition to a large balcony. At check in, we had to choose a time for breakfast and one of 3 menu options. Breakfast was fairly basic, but quite nice. It was really all we needed. We only stayed for one night and hope to have the opportunity of staying there again in the future.

Small hotel in a great location on the edge of the old city, room was clean, spacious and comfortable, we had a small balcony that opened on to a quiet street. 24 hour reception, very friendly and helpful staff. 1 minute from the Turia gardens and 10 minutes walk to Alameda metro station, easy access to all the sights in the city.
