Hotel Adonis Athens

Location on a quiet pedestrian street in the Plaka neighborhood was great. Very walkable from the Syntagma metro station. Room was small (but what we expected) and very clean. Hotel staff were the best. They held our luggage while we explored until room was ready and assisted with information, directions, and assisting with a taxi. The rooftop bar was nice for a drink in the evening as it had a partial view of the lit up Acropolis. The rooftop bar also served as the breakfast area. Breakfast was simple but adequate and was included in the price of the room. Location was such that we were able to walk everywhere we went and explored all day. Within two blocks of the hotel there were many restaurants that varied from walk up gyros for 4 euros to the full dining experience. Also lots of souvenir shops to complete your take home lists. If we visit Athens again we would definitely consider staying here again.

Perfect hotel and location for our two night stay in Athens. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in Plaka and also to the central area/base of the acropolis. Highlight is the rooftop patio. Enjoy your breakfast and or a drink before dinner and soak in the view of the acropolis and an amazing sunset. Room as small but quaint perfect for two adults. We had three but for two nights it was manageable.

We found Adonis Hotel to be a great value - especially when you consider its location which is steps from the Plaka area and within walking distance to all the ancient sites. The upstairs bar/breakfast area has a beautiful view of the Acropolis. We enjoyed this view during breakfast and also in the evening for drinks. The staff at the bar/breakfast area were very friendly and very professional. We also found the front desk staff to be very helpful. The rooms are small and the bathroom is tiny but it was fine for our stay as we weren't planning to spend much time in the room.

The Adonis Hotel gave me confidence to book from day 1 by quickly answering any email inquiry's I had! The staff were all lovely. The location is perfect to walk to most popular sites & eats. We choose the smallest room size which was fine for 2 adults yet - the bathroom was a bit cozy for my bigger husband. The best part was the roof top breakfast which is included. It was not the highest quality food or coffee yet it offered a great variety & I did LOVE the rusks, Olive Oil, Kalamata Olives, cucumbers & tomatoes & hard boiled egg! The view of part of Acropolis is great too. Our favorite meal was at I KRITI (about 25 min walk). Don't miss the Varvakios Central Market to buy delicious cookies & other Greek food delights!

The location is perfect, because it's on a pedestrian walkway very close to the Acropolis. It's quiet, and has an amazing view of the Acropolis from the bar balcony. Breakfast buffet has variety of choices. The room, though small was kept immaculately clean during our 5-day stay. The staff was uniformly kind, helpful, and friendly.

Great value for money. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are simple but cosy, somewhat older but very clean. Every staff member we came across was friendly and competent. The location is perfect, animated, and at the same time quiet at night. Comfortable mattresses on beds. Nice view and tasty offer during breakfast. It was altogether a pleasant experience, and we were happy with our choice.

Hotel Adonis is a lovely little hotel in Plaka Athens. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It is in walking distance of the main attractions and Metro and lots of lovely authentic restaurants. The hotels roof garden/bar is great and the view of Athens and the Acropolis is amazing.

We stayed in this hotel last Christmas and couldn’t fault anything about it. The location the service the view, we were extremely happy to pick up this hotel. There is a lovely vintage shop just downstairs and one should visit too! Highly recommended both the hotel and the shop:)
