Hotel Afendoulis

I had a wonderful stay very satisfied| The location is perfect — quiet and within walking distance of everything. The accommodation was clean, traditional, balcony with a seaview.||Dmitri and his wife are incredibly welcoming, always ready to help; recommended great local restaurants, bike rentals, and pick-up at the harbor and ordered a taxi to the airport.||I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding hosts.

Warm welcoming and a caring hospitality. Willing to assist and make the best experience for the guests. Location is great! So close to the beach, walking distance from the old city but yet quiet. Many good local restaurants around and fancy ones along the beach. The room was comfortable and clean, nice balconies + a shared balcony. Nice garden with beautiful smell of jasmine and different fruits trees. Family hotel with a family atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer but too bad it was fully booked.

This is quality all the way, and very reasonable prices given the high quality and wonderful service. The family hospitality, comfortable rooms, and pleasant neighborhood all make this a top choice for a stay in Kos. Rooms are simple but very well done, with well-equipped baths, and the public areas, including a shady patio, are ideal places to spend time--and the setting for a delicious breakfast The seafront is at the end of the street, and some excellent restaurants and bars are just steps away. Topping it all off is the presence of the Afendoulis family, who make their guests feel like welcomed friends.

No kidding, we've been round the islands and this is truly excellent, in terms of location, service, room and value. Family-run, you'll get a full breakfast (don't forget to ask for bacon with your omelette!), and Dimitris and Alexis will do anything for you, including collection from the port. The rooms have just been refurbished to a high standard and are serviced daily. Location is great, quiet and just a small block from the esplanade, 10 minutes from the town itself. They don't advertise at all, which is part of their charm, and all 30 or so rooms are fully booked now in June, so you know they're doing something right. They have a nicely priced help-yourself and write-it-down fridge full of beer, wine, juice, and you can use their kitchen if you want to prepare a meal to eat there on their sociable terrace. Seriously great value. Tip, if you're in Kos for a few days, hire a small car from Easy Rent just round the corner, €85 for 2 days. There's so much of the island you can see that way. Just book it! We stayed only for 5 nights, but the staff at the hotel could not do enough for us. They made us feel so welcome and explained where all the local sights were and how best to travel to them. Also, the fragrant smell that greeted us from the flowers that adorned the entrance was amazing. If you want to get away from it all and enjoy a family atmosphere please consider staying here, can't wait to return.

We loved our stays at Hotel Afendoulis and have been back several times. The rooms are tidy and clean, and a delicious breakfast is on offer in a peaceful garden setting. The hotel is a 12- minute walk from the bus station. The staff are all welcoming and friendly, and Dimitris in particular has been very helpful and flexible. Afendoulis is our first choice whenever we go to Kos.

A lovely, quiet hotel. Super friendly owners, great service and delicious homemade preserves at breakfast. It’s excellently situated just outside the main section of Kos, with easy access to everything. We were thoroughly charmed and would stay there every time we visited the island
