We had a very nice stay at the Agneshof Nürnberg. The location is excellent, a very short walk to the castle. There's a lovely place called the Wanderer, just below the castle, where you can get Gluhwein and maybe beer. And it's a two-minute walk to St. Sebald Cathedral and not much farther to the main Christmas market. |Our room was on the top floor and had a view of the castle, which was beautiful, especially at night. The breakfast was fine, but nothing spectacular. Good choices of tea and coffee and pastries/bread. We used the parking garage. It is very tight, but worked fine for our small rental car. It's connected to the hotel, so it was very convenient.

Great location in the city center. Staff at the hotel reception very nice and helpful. However not the same can be said for the staff at breakfast. We had a room above the hotel main entrance and every morning about 6 we could hear the garbage truck and pickup process. Breakfasts is not fantastic but the hotel does try to cover different expectations and the food seems to be high quality.

Let me start by saying we arrived at 10:38 pm — a full 7.5 hours later than planned! After driving through rain all day without a chance to stop for food, we honestly didn’t expect much to be open. And, as expected, nothing was. When we walked into the hotel, we were immediately hit with the smell of something delicious cooking. We checked in, and to our surprise, the front desk clerk asked, “Are you guys hungry? Want me to make you something to eat?” Honestly, who does that anymore?! It was such a kind and unexpected gesture. After dropping off our bags, we were happy to find a clean, cozy, and surprisingly spacious room. The king-size bed (a real king, not one of those “Euro kings” 😂) was super comfortable with plenty of extra pillows. Our room had a nice view of the old, charming buildings nearby — a really nice touch after a long day of travel. When we went back down, the clerk had food ready for us. We had a couple of beers, relaxed, and finally called it a night. It was such a thoughtful and genuine experience from start to finish. To sum it up, staying here was definitely the right call. The room was clean and comfy, but the hospitality? Next level. Highly recommend! P.S. The breakfast and the parking are worth the money! 👍🏼

Amazing Hotel, friendly staff and directly around the corner for the Christmas market. Rooms are looking similar to the photos online. We booked this hotel because of the location and that there have guest parking. We arrived and the car needed to be below 1.5m high that its fitting in the parking. Now we are parking at a publicly space. We did not get informed upfront about this inconvenience, and if we knew before we would have chose a different hotel. The rooms are not perfectly insulated, so you will may hear some sound coming of the street, but thats totally acceptable.

Perfectly situated on a quiet cobblestone street, among some of the best restaurants in the area, just a few minutes walk to the Christmas Market... this nicely renovated hotel offers everything you need for a good visit. Our room (301) was large enough to easily fit 3 large spinner suitcases, two spinner carry-ons, and three personal item bags without one bit of crowding. The room was quiet. Beds were firm but comfortable. Nightstands with lamps on both sides. Had to use the lamp socket for bedside power, so bring your power strip if you also want light. There is not a refrigerator or tea kettle in the room. The wi-fi was in and out... the only real challenge for us. The shower is compact but has excellent water pressure, we never ran out of hot water. Heated towel racks were a nice touch. Breakfast offers a nice selection of hot and cold items. Table linens and your own pot of coffee were nice. Despite having to park 3 blocks away, I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Hotel Agneshof is located in a quiet street but walking distance to most attractions in the city center, I actually walked from the main train station and it took me like 30’, so if you like walking, don’t even need to navigate the subway system. Friendly staff, good rooms, clean bathrooms, good breakfast buffet (fee) available. Would recommend and stay again.

We had an unfortunate incident on our second night, which was resolved by staff the next day. Our entire (non-smoking) room, the kids' room and the lobby were full of cigar smoke. The night receptionist was hesitant to ask the chain smoking guests to stop, as the hotel has a policy that guests should smoke in the inner courtyard. All 20+ rooms located around that courtyard have 1 source of fresh and cool air after a hit day: the court yard. Staff resolved things the next day by putting up a sign asking guests not to smoke cigars in the courtyard. Staff was otherwise friendly, breakfast is nice, and rooms are decent.

Yelp
The hotel staff was some of the best I've come in contact with in my many years of travel. With more than 100 nights a year in hotels, mostly in the U.S., their customer service and willingness to go above and beyond was first class. This was my first time staying here and will most definitely stay again. The rooms are standard sized for a European hotel. The bar staff are all welcoming, friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. The location has great access to the castle, local eateries, stores, and pubs. The price per night is well worth it. Do not pass up the opportunity to stay here.

Yelp
For a European hotel this was adequate and right near the castle and walking to the old city sites. No air-conditioning which was uncomfortable in the 80+ temps. No fan available either. Rooms small. Breakfast adequate and hot or cold. Taxis to was 15€. I had breakfast and internet included in my rate which was around 85€. Could have upgraded for 15€ more to a room on 3 or 4th floor but decided it wasnt needed. Might have gotten better breeze though. If they had just provided fans it would have greatly improved things.
