Hôtel Agora Swiss Night by Fassbind

I stayed for two nights in this stunningly beautiful hotel. The location is perfect two minutes walk from the train station and metro. There is a rooftop restaurant, breakfast was more than plentiful, you can cook your own eggs and try many types of cheese. Room are comfortable with all the necessary amenities.

LOCATION is amazing! Train and metro stations are walking distance. Lots of places to eat. Service and cleanliness of the room were great too. What we didn’t like: 1) We tried to have breakfast once but changed our minds. The hostess was not that nice to us. They seemed to have an egg station (I thought) so I asked for two omelets, and she answered: “This is it what we have” and showed me an almost empty container with leftover scrambled eggs and a couple of sausages. Definitely not at all appetizing. They also had some cereals and fruits that didn’t look that fresh. Obviously, we left without trying it. We don’t understand why in the room they don’t put any kind of body lotion, or hair conditioner, like every other hotel in the world. That just have a tube labeled “shampoo” that is supposed to serve as body wash(?). This “lemongrass” shampoo was very abrasive for hair and skin. The towels were extremely old and rough

Mostly I can simply confirm what other travellers have said in their reviews. |It is close to the station, just a short walk. I only had a small carry-on case so it was really easy.|My first room was a "business" double. It was on a lower floor with a view of weeds and a wall, so I promptly paid a bit extra for a "superior" room higher up. Even though it was only for 1 night, and I wasn't planning on spending much time in the room, let alone gazing out of the window, it was simply depressing.|The lady at reception was so helpful when sorting out the room.|I cannot comment on breakfast as I did not eat it at the hotel.|The cafe nearby served very tasty food, and there are a couple of convenient supermarkets nearby.|As a convenient stopover after arriving at Geneva airport and before travelling onto more remote parts, it was convenient and I would stay again.

Great hotel with good value for money close to the train stations and at walk distance of restaurants, bars and convenient stores. Very clean room and bathroom, friendly staff and breakfast with view of the lake. Around 800m from the lake (downhill). Prepare yourself for some cardio uphill if you enjoy (or take the metro back). :)

Staff wonderful. First floor rooms are small but efficient. Would be nice to have hangers in the bath/toilet area but understandable that the sliding doors make that difficult. The hallway down here is unique. Carpeting throughout is a really nice pattern. Also nice to have a door from the hallway directly outside to a stairway to the street. Parking is by room key access to elevator and under the building so in and out anytime. Breakfast is a great selection and a beautifully decorated amazing view. Just wish it were open (along with the gym) 24/7 by keycard access. So the view could be enjoyed anytime from the roof to the lake and beyond

Would not recommend. The front desk was not very polite (esp the middle-aged light-skinned guy) and charges for checking out late. The cleaning was okay, but the towels smell a little bit. The room was small, The design was okay, and the heating was the only commendable aspect of the hotel, I'm afraid. In general a cheap hotel to stay at lausanne if you are out of means.

Great hotel. Good price close to the center and the lake. In the middle of some nice restaurants. No comments on the hotel. Very solid and good. You will love the breakfast, especially the view when the sun is up.

I spent one night there - it was somehow ok for the price. The Hotel looks quite seventies - but really from the seventies ;-) Great location close to the main station and not far from the lake in the middle of the town. Rooms could be definitely a little bigger. Service is quite poor. Officially a 4 star hotel - I would only give 3 stars max. breakfast not recommended - especially not for the 20 CHF!

Pros: Nice rooms, decor, and breakfast. Great location. Cons: Terrible internet speed/wi-fi signal. I've been to this place 4 years ago and recently - the internet still sucks.

Centrally located (metro, lake Geneva, dining). I was pleasantly surprised at how neat and clean this place is... Stay nowhere else!

Good pillows, great ac, close to the port, good wifi. Skip the breakfast honestly, not super worth it. Great staff.
