Hôtel Agora Swiss Night by Fassbind

Great hotel. Good price close to the center and the lake. In the middle of some nice restaurants. No comments on the hotel. Very solid and good. You will love the breakfast, especially the view when the sun is up.

I had a wonderful time at Agora Swiss Night. The hotel is very close to the central railway station and very easy to find. The staff were all very friendly and helpful--thank you so much for understanding my poor attempts at speaking French :) I was a solo traveller and booked a single room which was well-equiped and clean. Will definitely book again when I have the chance to re-visit Lausanne.

A few good and more bad things. The rooms have a smell. If you are sensitive, don’t come here. The breakfast room has a nice view but the food itself is mediocre. The scramble eggs don’t taste like real eggs… Some of the lights in my room didn’t work. Decor is also not my favourite; who wants to sleep under a military blanket? Location is convenient.

We had a good stopover for one night with friendly service and a lovely view. The room was comfortable, but it got pretty warm during the night because the ventilation wasn’t working, it felt more like the heating was on even though it was cold outside. The see-through sliding door between the room and bathroom gave us a laugh!

Modern doesn't always mean comfortable)) Sometimes I wish that the interior designers lived for a week at a place that they designed)) The first thing you notice entering the room is the smell, and not a pleasant one. You can't really get rid of it, as you can open the window just a little bit. The beds and pillows are OK. The shower and sink are kind of directly in the room. The shower will get the floor wet, no matter how careful you are. The sink has no place for the soap, so you'll make some mess anyway. The shower walls are covered in tiny dots, which together with water drops make a crazy pattern hurting your eyes. Chairs made of metal and "cow" skin look very modern, but aren't comfortable at all. Fridge furniture has special gaps that look like they were never cleaned. So it all wants to look cool and modern, but is not really well thought. Cleaning should be more thorough. The breakfast takes place on the upper floor with a nice view at the lake and mountains. The food is nothing special, and the smell suggests that they use some cheap fat for frying. It's also very hot up there when the sun appears. The location is OK, near the railway station. Lobby has a funny zone with wall watches, all showing different time, which is kind of funny for Switzerland)) All fine, just don't expect much.

Excellent location - next door to Grancy Metro station and 300 metres from Lausanne Gere railway station. Yet very calm and peaceful. Well maintained and spacious rooms. You can have your breakfast in the eatery attached to it or in any of the several nice Swiz bakeries close by. In the room you have a mini kitchenette and Sink which is allowed to be used in case you stay for longer durations. Enjoyed our stay here.

Location is super good. Close to shops, walk from river and very close to public transport. Apart from that not recommended. Main issue is stuffiness. no air conditioning. They gave me a fun thankfully but without that I wouldn’t have slept. They suggested on Len the window but most of window is covered with weird metal mesh so little breeze. The reception area is stuffy too. No issue if you don’t put AC in hotel BUT make sure you design it properly with airflow and ceiling funs! Room design was minimalistic and awkward with the way the bathroom and toilets were designed. Service - not the friendliest I have seen but you get by.

Small hotel with good breakfast and an exercise room. The rooms are small. For a king bed they join 2 twin beds which seems to be normal in some parts of Europe. The location is a bit away from the lake, so there is a 15/20 minute walk downhill to get to the lake. It is very close to the train station. The entrance is on the 3rd level. 1st floor is where the exercise room is located. Rather narrow and strange walk from the elevator to the exercise room. Breakfast room is on the top floor. Nice vice of the town and the lake.

I spent one night there - it was somehow ok for the price. The Hotel looks quite seventies - but really from the seventies ;-) Great location close to the main station and not far from the lake in the middle of the town. Rooms could be definitely a little bigger. Service is quite poor. Officially a 4 star hotel - I would only give 3 stars max. breakfast not recommended - especially not for the 20 CHF!

Pros: Nice rooms, decor, and breakfast. Great location. Cons: Terrible internet speed/wi-fi signal. I've been to this place 4 years ago and recently - the internet still sucks.

Centrally located (metro, lake Geneva, dining). I was pleasantly surprised at how neat and clean this place is... Stay nowhere else!

Good pillows, great ac, close to the port, good wifi. Skip the breakfast honestly, not super worth it. Great staff.
