We arrived at Venice and walked to the hotel which is very close to the San Marcos Piazza. We were early so we decided to go to the hotel finding it to be is a very old building not well maintained and the registration was at on the second floor with very narrow stairs so don’t go there if you big luggage. The room was not available yet so we decided to walk around and see the San Marcos area. We returned to the hotel later finding no one in the front desk and had to search for our room key. Once in the room we immediately noticed it was not what we expected. The room was not so clean and there was a dirty towel hanging from the wall right next to the bed. No clean towels were available and no one was there to help us. Had to get on the my phone to call someone to help us and only got instructions to where to go and find towels. I was absolutely blown away and so angry but I said to myself it’s not going to ruin my day in Venice. We just managed that night and my wife and I had a wonderful time together exploring the streets in Venice. It’s absolutely stunning but I will never forget the fact of such a disgusting hotel and can believe it’s in a beautiful place like Venice. If I could give it less than one star believe me I would.

The staff was so kind and gave us great recommendations. We really felt welcomed and they went above and beyond in that regard. Location is amazing. Checking in / out super easy. Would definitely stay again.

We had a 2 night stay here in Venice. Brilliant location near st. marks square, rooms were basic but clean and gave my family and I (4 of us all together) enough space to get ready etc. Located right in the centre so handy if needed to pop back to the room for anything! |Staff were brilliant and friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. Would recommend if you’re visiting Venice for 1 or 2 days any longer than this you might want some more creature comforts, but exactly what we needed!

For a low star hotel, this was awesome. The staff are very welcoming with amazing service and great ideas on what to see. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We would def stay here again.

We had a really nice stay. It was such a good central location (a street away from St Mark's Sq). The room was clean and really comfortable, and Deborah the receptionist was super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations. There is a small, unlocked room next to the reception where you can leave your bags for free after checking out.||When we first arrived the hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (luckily couldn't smell it in our room). The smell went after the first day. The shower door seals were no good so I managed to flood the bathroom after the first use. Had to pile up the bath mat and hand towels underneath to stop it happening again. These are changed daily though.||I would stay here again and would recommend to others.

Pleasant quirky little hotel, really close to St Marks Square. We had a room at the top of the hotel, the stairs are very steep and after a days walking can be daunting. Did get a nice view of the top of tower etc. Staff really friendly and helpful with tips etc. Rooms cleaned daily.

Amazing location, affordable price, wonderful host. We stayed in the two room suite and it was perfect for our family of 4. Central location meant we could swing by room easily for a rest or bathroom break. Host was super helpful providing ideas for restaurants and tours ahead of our trip; he also helped arrange for a wonderful gondola ride our first evening and a very early morning water taxi ride to the airport for us. Even though the location is right near it all, our rooms were quiet.

Yelp
On our entire Italy trip, this was perhaps the smallest room at the highest price (obviously we tried to save some $$ of the trip and did not try to go over 100 euro/night. had to exceed it for this one). nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay here. some tips: 1. for venice, the location truly can't be any better. it's literally less than 1 min walk to the piazza. if you want to be close to the action, there's no better choice at a better price. but with the location, there will also be some noise issues. the bar close by is always jumping until 3am. 2. rooms are TINY. ours did not fit much else besides the bed. so keep that in mind if you're traveling with tons of luggage. 3. LOTS of stairs. we had the highest room = 5 flights up/down every time. get it, if you want to burn off the calories from all that pasta and get some exercise. skip it, if you have health issues. 4. if it's available, ask for the room with the private terrace (only 1 in the whole place). beautiful views of the basilica domes and the campanile. we got take out for lunch everyday and came up to enjoy the nice weather with food and a bottle of wine. but you can also hear the hourly bells quite well. so not recommended if you're a very light sleeper.

Yelp
Booking a hotel in Venice from Toronto means relying on the internet for a clue on where to book and what a fair price is. We booked a few nights here at Hotel Ai Do Mori because the location looked good and the price was decent. When we arrived in the morning it wasn't super easy to find, but navigating Venice isn't simple the first time you visit. Our stay was split into two different blocks as we were staying off Venice for a few nights in the middle of our trip. Check in was smooth and easy - we stored our bags with the desk until our room was ready and the lady at the desk gave us a good recommendation on a place to grab some food. The name of the restaurant escapes me, but mentioning who sent us got us some free drinks and great service. The first unit we had was off site from the main building in an apartment building around the block. The unit was nicely sized, perfectly cleaned and cozy. being in it's own building, It felt almost like we were renting an apartment rather than a hotel room and the building felt very secure. The second unit was the top floor unit in the main building with the roof top patio overlooking San Marco square and a good view of the roof tops of Venice. This is the room that you should try to get if you're staying in Venice. The room is small, but worked perfectly for the two of us, the real draw or this room is the deck and its view. Free Wifi in the main building was key for making plans while in Venice without relying on guidebooks or maps. Great hotel!
