Hotel Airport International lives up to its three-star designation, offering a range of expected amenities. Guests can anticipate a dedicated building housing numerous rooms, a professional staff, commendable breakfast options, an on-site restaurant, efficient room service, elevators, a lobby, and convenient airport transfer services.
The rooms are cozy and compact, yet well-lit and notably clean, adequately fulfilling basic needs. A particularly beneficial feature is the inclusion of a large mirror along one wall, which cleverly enhances the sense of space and proves quite useful. The attached bathrooms are also noteworthy for their cleanliness and bright appearance.
While the hotel boasts a location very near Airport Terminal 1, the reality of one-way traffic regulations often necessitates longer routes to reach it. Guests should also be aware that taxi and auto-rickshaw drivers may not always be familiar with the hotel's exact location. Furthermore, securing an Uber during peak hours might involve a significant wait.
The hotel staff are consistently professional and helpful; however, a noticeable absence of smiles among them was observed.
Given its proximity to the airport, the room rates are relatively high. Comparable or even lower prices might secure accommodation in other areas of Mumbai, potentially including four-star hotels. This makes Hotel Airport International an ideal choice for short visits focused on airport convenience. However, for longer stays, city-centric activities, or frequent travel to and from the city, other options might prove more beneficial.
During my four-night stay, the Wi-Fi service was generally satisfactory, although it became significantly slower towards the end. Additionally, the older infrastructure of the hotel building results in a somewhat slow water flow in the bathrooms.
