This is a well-appointed hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and thoughtfully curated art throughout the property. The location is convenient for accessing both Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Valet service was prompt, and the on-site restaurant appeared impressive, though I did not have the opportunity to dine there. While the hotel is clearly high-end, the overall ambiance—particularly the darker lighting throughout—didn’t quite suit my personal preferences. That said, the overall feel of the hotel just wasn’t quite for me. The lighting throughout the common areas and hallways was darker than I prefer, which made the space feel a bit too moody for my taste. I can see how others might find the ambiance cozy or luxurious, but personally, it didn’t quite click for me. (Again, I’m speaking from my own experience & personal preferences.)
It’s definitely a nice property with a lot to offer, and I’d recommend it to travelers who enjoy that particular style — it just didn’t fully align with what I look for in a hotel experience.
