Hotel AKA Alexandria

I had an absolutely outstanding stay at the AKA Hotel in Alexandria, VA. From the moment I checked in, the service was exceptional. Nigel went above and beyond throughout the weekend to make sure I had everything I needed. He set the tone for a five-star experience. Isiah and Marvin were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home every time I walked through the lobby. The hotel itself has a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere, everything was spotless, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. It’s also in a great location, making it both convenient and relaxing. One of the highlights of my stay was the private theatre, where I was able to screen the baseball game. Overall, my stay couldn’t have been better. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending AKA Alexandria to anyone looking for a top-notch stay with an exceptional team.

If you’re looking for an exquisite, reserved hotel with stunning aesthetics and amazing art, this is the place to be! The customer service was exceptional—Isaiah went out of his way to ensure a top-tier guest experience. Aaron and Ernest were so relatable and made my stay incredibly comfortable. AKA Alexandria offers a wealth of amenities, and the food is absolutely worth it. My ultimate favorite? The Nespresso machine in the room—wow! For all the coffee lovers and travelers out there, this is the spot to be when you visit Alexandria. 10/10 — I'm beyond happy with my choice and will definitely be returning in the near future. There are also tons of shops nearby, and for Trader Joe’s fans, it’s just 8 minutes away! A huge thank-you from the bottom of my heart to the wonderful team at AKA Alexandria. Enjoyed my stay last weekend at Hotel AKA, it was first time and I’ll definitely be back. Nigel provided great customer service at the front desk. The rooms were spacious and clean, loved the interior design. I did not see an option for room service but I enjoyed the breakfast at the Bar. The hotels location was great to walk to restaurants or stores near by, even use their complimentary bikes for guest. It was great for a weekend getaway.

I hosted my engagement party with the Alexandria location and my experience was a 10/10. I decided to go with the hotel just a month before the actual event and they executed everything perfectly is such a short amount of time. Lynnea was exceptional and couldn’t have pulled it off without her. Thanks to her and the staff that bought my vision to life! The food, service, and ambience was perfect!

Really incredible stay at this hotel in Alexandria for a wedding. They let me check in early after a long flight with no fee. They did a great job with catering for the bridal suite. The staff were super friendly and kind. The showers were incredible and the gym was really nice too. They have Pilates classes as well I believe. I would definitely stay here again if I was back in the area.

This is a well-appointed hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and thoughtfully curated art throughout the property. The location is convenient for accessing both Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Valet service was prompt, and the on-site restaurant appeared impressive, though I did not have the opportunity to dine there. While the hotel is clearly high-end, the overall ambiance—particularly the darker lighting throughout—didn’t quite suit my personal preferences. That said, the overall feel of the hotel just wasn’t quite for me. The lighting throughout the common areas and hallways was darker than I prefer, which made the space feel a bit too moody for my taste. I can see how others might find the ambiance cozy or luxurious, but personally, it didn’t quite click for me. (Again, I’m speaking from my own experience & personal preferences.) It’s definitely a nice property with a lot to offer, and I’d recommend it to travelers who enjoy that particular style — it just didn’t fully align with what I look for in a hotel experience.

This boutique hotel is absolutely amazing from its eclectic decor, friendly staff (valet, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping) to my luxurious Junior suite. I will absolutely stay again when I come back to the DC area. It was conveniently located by the interstate and is in walking distance to a lot of different shops and restaurants. Very clean, smelled good, and gave high- end vibes! Isaiah was so hospitable! He helped me get checked in, gave me a tour, and had amazing energy. Valet was amazing as well! Five stars all around!!

Our stay at Hotel AKA Alexandria was phenomenal! Our experience started with the wonderful valet team. They were prompt, courteous and genuinely friendly. Front desk staff was incredible as well but I have to give a special shout out to Isiah! I very rarely leave a review for places i visit but felt like I should after my interactions with him. He had such great energy and was so welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the restaurant and bar was amazing as well as the staff. We would have definitely stayed longer if we didn't have commitments to attend to, however we will be coming back that's for sure!
