My stay here was excellent! When we got to the room, there was only supplies for about two people, though it was a group of four of us, but they quickly accommodated and provided us with the extra items that we needed. Housekeeping was always friendly and ready to help whenever we needed something! There was also some confusion regarding early check-in/late checkout, but the front desk staff were overly accommodating and helped us with more than we expected! They also decorated the room for my sister who was celebrating her birthday, which was a nice surprise upon our return from brunch and shopping! The valet was outstanding! Cesar and Jorge did their best to not only help us with our luggage and suitcases, but also take pictures of our group for us so that we could have lasting memories of our birthday shenanigans! We were so grateful for them and all of the other valet staff that held our luggage when we got there and also held our luggage the day that we were leaving in order to accommodate us going out to lunch/breakfast. So, we did not have to lug around our suitcases. Overall, an amazing experience! Would book again! ☺️🎉

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The service was exceptional from start to finish. Eduardo from valet was incredibly professional, courteous, and always had a warm smile ,he made arriving and leaving the hotel a seamless experience. At the front desk, Corami was equally impressive friendly, efficient, and very helpful with all our questions. Both of them truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

My family of three recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night vacation at the Hotel AKA Brickell in Miami, and we couldn't be more satisfied with our choice. The hotel is housed within the impressive, modern Brickell Arch building. While it clearly caters to business travelers, we found it equally welcoming and well-suited for vacationers. Our room was spacious, meticulously clean, and furnished with high-end, stylish pieces. The bathroom and shower were excellent, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. We also loved the fantastic views from our room. The staff were consistently nice and helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, even though it was located in a separate building. Being part of a multi-use building that includes offices and residences meant a minor inconvenience of switching elevators, but this was a small price to pay for such a prime location. The hotel is situated in the heart of Brickell, Miami's vibrant financial district, putting us within easy walking distance of numerous excellent restaurants. Parking was available for $50 overnight, but we easily found more inexpensive alternatives using the SpotHero app. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel AKA Brickell and would absolutely love to return on our next trip to Miami!

This review is coming up to a month late and I do apologise for it but overall I had an amazing stay at Hotel AKA. Amazing location and a beautiful city view. Three staff really stood out to me and my sister during our stay. They were Kyla, Cesar and Jorge. Kyla always showered my sister and I with compliments whenever we walked past her and was very helpful with overall directions and need to know about the area. Love you loads girlie pop. And honourable mentions to both Cesar and Jorge who helped me retrieve my phone. They were so calming and helpful throughout it was such a breath of fresh air to be around such pleasant workers. Honestly, the three I just mentioned need a round of applause and some sort of recognition or extra pay for amazing hospitality and comforting aura. Love all three and I will be coming back to hotel aka because of them! Overall, thank you all so much from London❤️ xx

My friends took me here to celebrate my birthday, and I have to say, I was very impressed! The hotel itself is very beautiful, modern, and trendy. There are views of the ocean all around, especially on the upper levels. The Adrift Mare was a beautiful restaurant with views of the ocean. In addition, there is a rooftop pool on the building across From The AKA Brickell Hotel. They had taco specials from noon to 4 PM on a few days out of the week poolside. There was plenty of space to sit, lounge, and eat and there was also a bar. ||With regards to the hotel service, the staff were very nice and accommodating. The valet took too long to bring our luggage to the room so that’s definitely an area for future improvement. There was also an issue with regards to late check out; but thankfully, they addressed the issue once we brought it to their attention. Definitely make sure you read the fine print before booking your reservation to make sure any extra fees are noted. ||Lastly, I have to shout out the valet guy, Cesar, and his partner Jorge. Cesar did his best to help me and my girlfriends out when we needed pictures and had no one to take them. He went over and above the call of duty and I was so thankful for the help of him, Jorge, and the other valet person (who loaded our bags into our Uber). In all, I would definitely recommend this location and stay here again.

I had an excellent stay! Special thanks to Ms. Cori in the front desk for helping me with the early check-in when I arrived , it made everything so much easier. On top of that, the hotel offers complimentary drinks, which was a nice surprise. Great service from all the staff, and overall a wonderful experience.

Google
this hotel has all what you need, great location, close to the shopping, trains and nightlife fun. It has restaurant and bars on site. The rooms are big and very clean. There is a mini bar, coffee maker and a safe box in the room. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. Highly recommend it!.

Google
Everything was pleasant at this hotel. I love the lotions and shampoo that they provided. I had a sweet and it was extremely big large windows a lot of good light and a great view. The location was nice walkable to a lot of restaurants and shopping. The gym was also very nice. It had a good amount of equipment for our workout. All in all the place is very clean, tidy and spacious. The bar mid floor was amazing as well and the views were spectacular.

Yelp
Honestly. The service is what needs the most work. Here's a few issues. I paid $50 for a small plate of chicken fingers with no sauce and the room service app automatically adds a 40% tip. Yes. 40%. They add 20% and then say the second 20% is optional but if you don't notice and manually take it off. You're stuck paying 40% The front desk took a solid 20 minutes to check in. That was after waiting a solid 15 for the guy in front of me. The shower took 5-10 minutes to heat up. The bed seems cozy enough but overall disappointing

Yelp
This is for the 2 bedroom unit We had an OK stay Not a bad value but wasn't cheap. Room is dated and needs a refresh Master bedroom mattress is terrible threw my back out after 4 nights. Bathrooms are dated and need an update Photos don't match the room and a bit misleading when booking Several issues when we first got there. Bathroom showers not working properly which they fixed but nonetheless a hassle for both bathrooms to not function right Headboard in master isn't attached to bed so kept banging into the wall when just laying down. And again the mattress is trash Pool is small Pool food is not good and overpriced No lunch place except the pool and the menu isn't very good for lunch Rooms need some snacks or a snack shop the premise would be nice. Gym is sub par Small but decent equipment but tiny room and one window. Kind of dinky Staff was very friendly and outgoing.

Yelp
The service is extraordinary, the staff treated us like VIP'S. We had a lovely room and accommodations were great. They have an excellent on site restaurant Adrift Mare. Their swimming pool is a nice size and they have a beautiful "living room" space on the 25th floor. The only thing is every time you go to your room you have to go to the 25th floor and then to another elevator bank to go to your room, which is a bit different. The location of the hotel is great and overall it was a positive experience to stay here.

Yelp
Our room was nice and spacious, all rooms have doorbells. There are 2 button inside the room by the door that you can select if you want your room made up or if you want privacy. Each option changes the room doorbell a different color and hotel staff can know what you are requesting. For the most part the room was clean, however the coffee cups and coffee station was not that clean and it hadn't been restocked. The hotel staff including valet services was very unprofessional. They treated us as if we had never been to a hotel before, with their sarcastic and inappropriate comments. They also talked to us in Spanish from the moment we walked in. In my opinion if I ask to be spoke in Spanish that would be ok, but don't assume I speak Spanish and not give me the option to pick my language of preference. Even after I replied in English they still spoke in Spanish. We had dinner at the Hotel Restaurant and the only thing that was good was the Bang Bang Shrimp. Everything else was not seasoned and under cooked. We ordered our steaks Medium and they were Medium Rare, the veggies were hard. Not worth the $165 we were charged for 3 dishes. I'm giving them a 3 because the room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. I've stayed in nicer hotels that were less expensive than this one. Not sure I would recommend someone to stay here.

Yelp
It was clean and not crowded from the entrance where I got off the car, and even though I arrived earlier than the check-in time of 4:00 and it was 1:15, I was able to get in right away with the help of a friendly staff member. I reserved a twin bed to share with two friends, and even after unpacking all three of our luggage, there was still plenty of room, so all my friends were satisfied. I was very happy that the interior was modern and simple and had a shower head with a long line.

Yelp
Their website advertised a room with a "STRIKING VIEW ...OVERLOOKING DOWNTOWN MIAMI". so I booked it, but upon arrival/check-in, the room only looked at the wall of a building next door. They offered to remove the "destination fee", but could not provide the STRIKING DOWNTOWN MIAMI view which is what I really wanted. They did state that I got the room that I booked, which was rude, since they did not try to listen and understand my concern. After check-out the invoice included a charge for the destination fee that they offered to remove. Staying here was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this dishonest hotel. I feel ripped off by the hotel that charged me over $1,000 for just two nights in a bad room with dishonest service.

Yelp
Came to AKA with a day pass from ResortPass. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, staff at the bar were nice, check in was smooth. They have a roofttop heated pool, with a jacuzzi and a bar. At the bar you can get drinks and food. The bar was a little overpriced but it is brickell so that was expected. I ordered a grilled watermelon salad which was delicious! I don't recall the name of the drink I ordered. Im giving them 4 stars because the front desk failed to let me know I had to come back to them to get my parking ticket validated..so I ended up paying $25 Parking when it was supposed to be complimentary with my day pass. Other than that, everything was amazing.

Yelp
By far the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel staff cussed me out and tried to threaten me for asking for a glass of complimentary champagne that is provided to every guest allegedly. They do not tell you the place is under construction. They try to charge $150 for "early check in" for everyone even if it is 30 min early. Be aware. The managers will fight and argue. They will call you names. I have posted a photo of the woman who cussed me out. She called me names & made remarks about my physical appearance. She told me to get out with my "fake hair, fake lashes,& fake bag". The irony is it is all real. I'm not sure what her issue was but I hope she gets the help she needs and that management handles her. She refused to give me her name & was not wearing a name tag at all. Every single front desk person was rude & classless. They refuse to help with anything & are snarky & inappropriate. They are beyond disrespectful. The entire staff is a liability. I will be filing with corporate and filing my complaint. It is completely unacceptable the way they treat guests here that have paid a lot to stay. Every guest we asked had a similar experience with staff. The rooms were also dirty and unkept. Absolutely do not stay here.

Yelp
Didn't stay here but did go to their spa with friends for Spa Month. The host was so lovely and doting (she poured us an amazing mango tea and Prosecco, and checked in on us regularly throughout the day), 50-min massage was great, and chromatography tub was kind of like another massage in and of itself. If you're going with other people though, you will have to wait to use it because there is only one tub available. Only real complaint was that the pool was under construction and unavailable for use. For $109 plus gratuity, I would recommend.

Sharron K.

Yelp
I enjoy staying at this hotel. The rooms are modern and nice and there is great WiFi in the room which is important to me as I work at the hotel. While the pool gets less sun than some of the other hotels there is good service, drinks and food. The bartenders are also very friendly and remember you.

Yelp
Thank you! Today was the first truly enjoyable evening I've had since moving here almost two years ago!

Yelp
The AKA hotel in Brickell is fantastic. Ivana & Dulce were super friendly and helpful during my stay. The rooms look really cool and have everything you need for a relaxing time. Must check out the pool & hot tub!

Yelp
This is NOT a 5 start hotel, don't be fooled by its nice lobby and a free glass of champagne at check in, the stay gets down from there. One of the worst hotel experiences and worst rooms in a Beautiful area full of options like Brickell. The elevators don't work and are old. "Apartments" rooms are old fashion and outdated on tech, paint, mantainance and service. The pool is on a different building with no privacy, bad service and broken corners and furniture all over. Room service food was cold, expensive and late. The service of the staff is like if they are doing you a favor and not treating you like a 5 star guess. Any 4 star hotel in this area will give you most better service and you will save a lot of money.

Bob S.

Yelp
annoying hotel. the elevator system is so baffling that it became a joke at some point. Essentially, you go up to the 25th floor from the lobby to take an elevator to your room. I could have probably gotten over the elevator if not for rude workers, who were more interested in talking to one another than assisting customer. but the incident that put me over: you cannot leave things at front desk for other guest. this is among the most basic of services a hotel should offer. room itself is fine, but views are exceptional. But so are most Miami downtown hotel.

Yelp
I was a little apprehensive to stay here after reading reviews. I had booked this hotel on Priceline after receiving an amazing rate. This hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted. Our room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. Our bathroom also had a large soaker tub which is nice to take advantage of after lots of walking around town. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant a couple of times. The food was pretty good for the price. We got a sneak (accidentally) of the area under construction. It will be so beautiful once finished and we weren't bothered by noise at all during our stay. People have mentioned the elevator situation in other reviews. It was rather odd and I thought it was going to be just temporary because of construction. Not the case. The first elevator you take from ground level only goes to level 25 (starred as Lobby in elevator). Once you get to 25, you go around the corner to another bank of elevators. This takes you to your room level. We stayed on level 20. So it was rather odd, and confusing at first. I had never seen anything like that before. I would 100% stay at this hotel again. Elevator situation aside, the hotel was in such a great area and so comfortable.

Yelp
Previously known as the Cora's Hotel in Brickell.. I'm guessing couldn't get more creative than calling it the AKA Brickell, but this place is no pushover. Although I haven't spent a night at this hotel, i had the opportunity to attend a friends wedding at this hotel and gotta say that facilities and service was first class. Those who did stay at hotel did comment that rooms and service was very good. Would definately recommend for event and stays alike

Yelp
Worst hotel in Miami Pools not wheel chair accessible The lobby is on the 25th floor U gotta take 3 to get to ur room from The pool . It's inside another building And help get paid to promote so it's make you pic it! No amenities I'll rather stay at motel 6 The peop

Yelp
My mother was in an accident while visiting Florida and died from her injuries. My sister, father and I travelled to Miami. I'd never heard of this hotel before but it checked all the boxes with location, valet, rm svc, pool, restaurant so I booked 3 rooms and will definitely return. It's very private and discreet. The staff was made aware of our situation and every person went out of their way to be accommodating - so kind and sensitive to our needs. The rooms were virtually soundproof and the beds beyond perfect. Luxurious amenities and towels. Exceptional housekeeping. Pristine clean. AKA is simply a jewel in the boutique hotel category.

Gil A.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews. I'm writing this one halfway during my stay. I'm from Miami and if there's one thing I know it's bad service and uncaring employees. That being the backdrop, Sergio at the front desk was very nice even though we waited with him to check in to the room at 4:25 after an all day travel. Oh the jackhammering in the lobby didn't help. The room was big and nice. One of the curtains didn't work and they never fixed. I finally got up there and did. The guy that I tipped $20 to make the sofa bed for my daughter was so put out by us that you could feel the tension in the room when he was there. Not a smile or thx for tip. The restaurant had a good breakfast but the staff was awful. I walked out without ordering but Danny grabbed me and took great care of me. The rest of the team could hardly be bothered. I get this is Miami but for $2500 for 3 days this this was pretty poor. My wife did like the pool strangely enough.

Adam C.

Yelp
Such a disappointment. We stayed here cause we needed to spend the night in Miami before catching our flight to the Bahamas the next day. The other reviews i reas here are right. Valet just looked at us. No help. Food... terrible. Service poor but front desk guy very kind. Only plus. So firstly it seems like a condo building that dedicated a few floors to a hotel. The lobby is totally underwhelming. I had to ask the guy inside "is this a hotel?" it just seems like a security desk where u Che k in, I believe they are renovating but no one tells u that. You have to take two elevators to get to your room and it's totally confusing. first you go all the way up to 25 just to take another elevator to go back down to 19. Weird very narrow halls between elevators that creeped us out. We got in late and needed food. In room dining wouldn't answer the phone. We had to call the front desk to transfer us to them so they'd pick up, The woman with in room dining couldn't understand one word my wife said and she kept repeating stuff and the person on the other end kept getting it wrong. Then they didn't bring forks and had to go back. We made due with plastic spoons because it took 20 minutes to get forks. And the chicken comes with zero side. We called the front to have the fold out couch made up. The housekeeping guy had to go back to get pillows. You can't get changed or comfortable until the guy is done so we just waited and waited for the pillows. There's a pool but you have to go down via the double elevators to the lobby and cross to another building. There was other stuff. We feel ripped off for what we paid. I mean what is this place?

Jerry B.

Yelp
Regardless if you are staying here one night or over 30 (such as myself) this is NOT the hotel to be wasting your hard earned money at. Construction that causes you to wake up - they will not tell you prior to booking. You want to visit the illustrious restaurant/bar they offer, does not exist. Every step of convenience and peace of mind that you pay for, you end up as part of the staff doing their job for you. In addition, don't bother making a complaint - your issues will fall on deaf ears. Over 25 nights of being at this hotel not only do I want to leave prior to my exit, I will never be staying here and will tell every person coming to and from Miami to avoid this "hotel" like the plague.

Keith G.

Yelp
I cant complain enough about how awful this hotel was. I have never been one to review a hotel, but i want to advise anyone to not waste a cent on this place. Everything from the staff (there is an older woman at the front who is a complete nightmare) to the dry wall falling as you walk through the incomplete lobby. I refuse to give any money to any aka establishment after this visit.

Florido B.

Yelp
This place is a mess. The layout makes no sense, and the elevator situation makes no sense. There is HUGE construction happening making it constantly inconvenient to do anything. To top it off, the staff is rude, no one cares to make this a comfortable experience.

Mark E.

Yelp
This hotel had NO business hosting a conference. Under construction is one thing. But the confusion of the elevators added with all of the false walls that were up, the lack of choices in the hotel as far as dining, no room service, it was just not a good experience. Good lord, to get to the pool from a room on 16, you had to go UP to 25, through the twisting hallway to the elevators to go DOWN to front desk then out the front door, across the parking lot, and then UP the next elevator to the roof. Confusing, no amenities and EXPENSIVE. I would give them zero stars if that was an option.

Yelp
Had a very pleasant stay at AKA. Large, clean room and friendly service. Hotel is located in a great spot too. Special mention to Carlos at the pool bar who looked after us very well. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Brickell. Would stay again.

Yelp
Horrible service!! Unprofessional and rude staff!! Complete shame pool area located in a completely different building and dirty. Do not be misled by the website! Dark and cold spa gym and restaurants. Highly disturbing facility.

Marina H.

Yelp
This hotel was a huge disappointment from the moment we walked in. First, the fire alarm started ringing as soon as we walked in and no one seemed concerned about this. We then learned that the lobby is under construction and none of this information was shared during the booking process. As someone who is working remotely, this was a huge disappointment. The lobby does not have seats either and the bathrooms are on the 25th floor near construction. Additionally, we had asked for our room 30 mins before check in and despite the room being ready, the employee at the front desk kept saying he has to charge us and there was absolutely no way to override the system, even for 30 mins. Again, the room was ready but they told us we had to wait. The cherry on top of this nightmare of events was that the only place we could sit for 30 mins is at their restaurant. So, as told, we went to the restaurant. The restaurant manager then came to let us know that we weren't supposed to be in this area. At 12 when we came down to get our room and explained that we had nowhere to go and the restaurant was closed. We voiced our concerns and bad experience but the check in person did nothing to help. The check in person was really rude and said I gave you options which are the pool and this seating place right here. The seating place is small, uncomfortable and has no back support or table (please see picture attached below). We told him we had meetings and couldn't go to the pool and he said well this is what we have. If you are looking for a "tranquil sophisticated retreat" as mentioned on their website, you are signing up for disappointment. The new lobby is not ready to welcome you and neither is the staff. There are so many better options for stays in Miami, choose wisely!

Adam P.

Yelp
This place is bizarre and I will be leaving asap. Read the reviews, this place sucks and is just pretending to be a hotel. There is constant construction inside the building, and they are pretending it's ok. No one said there would be constant construction when the rooms were being booked (over 200 stay days for the group). DO NOT COME HERE!!!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
I loved this hotel and the staff! I had a large room with a great view. The price is great for what you get in the Brickell area. The staff was so friendly and the restaurant was delicious! I'll definitely be back on my next trip.

Yelp
Outstanding hotel where the old Conrad used to be. On the 25th floor. Excellent customer service and beautiful decor. Great hidden gem.

John W.

Yelp
The hotel right away upcharges you on entrance. Hotel is under construction and wet paint and smell everywhere. Hotel host are rude and not caring at all. Windows at room are filthy. For the price I would say I would never stay here again. If you want a better place trust me kimpton hotel far and beyond better hotel. Better rooms, same prices, and way better hosts and people. Very nice people at kimpton. This place is rude and not worth it.

Yelp
Yug with AKA Brickell is a true professional and customer service advocate. The resort is very nice but the purpose of this review is to highlight his professionalism and expertise in customer service. Thank you for your help, Yug!

Melissa S.

Yelp
this hotel is by far the WORST hotel i've ever stayed at. Absolutely disgusting behavior from the front desk receptionist. The security guy harassed me and my friend while staying here. They made us extremely uncomfortable by showing up to our door unannounced multiple times. Not to mention the hotel is not even a hotel.. they have all this reconstruction going on that looks just bad. They dont have good customer service. They didn't even want to bring my food to my room 10/10 do NOT recommend.
