Yelp
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS YELLED AT & HUMILIATED BY CONCIERGE IN FRONT OF AT LEAST 7 PEOPLE ON 11/12/25 - Night Shift.
I'm leaving this review not as a customer, but as an Uber eats delivery driver. (I'm going to give backstory to set the scene so whoever reads this fully understands the situation)
I work an 8-5 but since I live in an active area I do uber for extra cash. I arrived to the hotel and anyone who drives Uber eats knows directions aren't always the clearest. I make it in and immediately go towards the first elevator I see. When I arrive I see a sign that points me towards the "Hotel Elevators."
As I walk in the direction of the sign, I notice two concierge. A man within the 30-40 range and a woman, maybe 5'3 with jet black hair. Looks close to 60 +.
I go up the elevator to avoid interrupting them because it seems they're going to take a while.
Once I enter the elevators I notice they only show Floor G, 3, 5, & 25. I had to go to 26.
So I go back down.
Mind you, I have an order and just need info, not to be checked in.
I wait behind two gentlemen.
They back up and make space for me.
I saw them sign a paper earlier so I walk up to check if it's a sign in sheet because many places who do uber eats have them.
As I walk up, I read the title, and as I am tilting my heads upwards to ask her for help (because I've realized I do not belong to this sign in sheet), this woman/concierge YELLS at me AT THE TOP OF HER LINGS in front of at least 7 other people in the lobby. She tells me "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! BACK UP! THE PILOTS NEED PRIVACY!!!"
I back up, very rattled and say "I'm sorry, I'm here for uber and I thought it was a sign in sheet. I walked up to read it to make sure ---"
Before I could finish she cuts me off, still yelling, and says "THATS WHY YOU ASK!! YOU SHOULDVE ASKED!! YOU DONT WALK UP TO THE COUNTER UNLESS I ADDRESS YOU. IF I DONT ADDRESS YOU, DONT COME!"
I was FLABBERGASTED, humiliated, and very hurt.
I explain "I was going to ask you but you immediately shooed me away and told me not to approach the desk! You don't need to yell at me. It's very disrespectful. I believe you could use a class on customer service"
The altercation ended there but emotionally, I'm not over it.
She may have been having a bad day, I don't know what's happening in her life and if she is struggling I can sympathize and I pray God finds a way to ease her troubles and stress, but I can't excuse blatant disrespect. Everyone is going through their own struggles and as someone who was working a double just to add a little extra income on an already exhausting day, this really soured my mood.
I was so upset I didn't even check her name tag, so I don't know her name.
