Hotel Akerlund

Everything looked freshly renovated even though the building is over 100 years old. They had a water pipe break in their kitchen so they sent us to another hotel in town for breakfast. The staff was helpful in answering our questions.

The hotel was well situated in town. We were extremely pleased with the helpfulness of the staff. When we checked in, we were welcomed to a complimentary light dinner at the restaurant. ||The room was small, but had everything we needed. I wish there was additional sound proofing in the rooms, as we could easily hear every conversation in the neighboring room. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable. ||They also offered a breakfast, which was small but tasty.

It was a ordinary looking hotel on the outside, but inside was refurbished and good looking! The rooms were a bit small, but was really nice looking as well!

Firstly, this hotel is confusing to find because the name is not on the outside of the hotel! Very odd. Once inside however, the hotel looks exactly as it appears on the internet. Our room had twin beds, unusually, not next to each other as generally found but one in an alcove and the other in the corner diagonally opposite. They were set up with the headboards so you can’t see each other, again, a little odd, but we did have two windows and two radiators in the room, so that may have made bed placement difficult. The room however had good beds and bedding, enough storage and blackout curtains. There was no table or desk but you can request one from reception which we did and it was supplied immediately.|Fixture placement in the bathroom was also a bit cramped with a huge basin impeding access to the loo but the fittings were good quality with plenty of hot water and good toiletries and towels.|Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs and was pretty good. Standard hot food buffet options, a selection of cold local produce and a nicely presented, spacious eating area.|We stayed two nights and it was very comfortable. Free parking right outside. Recommended.

Stayed here by chance while stranded at -40° this winter. Great hotel. Rooms are functional, modern and nice, lobby very cozy. Restaurant is simple but good. Staff is nice and super accomodating. Strong recommend if you are in Jokkmukk area.

Such a great cosy hotel. Highly recommend staying in Hotel Akerlund. They do everything to make your stay comfortable with a great breakfast and tea/coffee machine for use during the day. The lobby has an open fire which makes the whole hotel very cosy. The rooms are clean and simple but everything you would need. I would recommend combining your stay here with one of the dog sledding tours with Jokkmokkguiderna.

The hotel had been renewed and it really looks great. Our room was small but very clean and cozy. Personal is super nice and helpful. We are vegetarians and they had food prepared for us (thanks for that!). The chimney area is also really cozy and you can book the sauna for yourself without any cost. The hotel is located centrally and you can walk to other restaurants in town. If I go back to Jokkmokk again, I will stay there again.

A simple and pleasant hotel with everything needed for a short stay. Good breakfast for a hotel of its size. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is located right in the middle of the town, close to everything and no problems with parking.
