Hotel Akureyri

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area of Iceland. We got the economy small room and it was still great. The hotel is newly renovated and perfectly decorated. It had modern touches on a vintage vibe. The breakfast buffet had loads of options.

good location for exploring Akureyri, lobby was very nicely decorated with fun furniture and vibes. Rooms were a bit plain and small and got very hot during the night (but we had a fan provided so this wasn’t too bad), but beds were very comfy. Room overall could do with a bit of a renovation but it was still pleasant enough Breakfast choice was excellent with freshly baked bread and cinnamon rolls

This is the best experience we had here. The hotel is very cheap in comparison to other hotel we stayed around the island. The service is very good. The breakfast is for free and it is literally the best breakfast we had here. The room is very cozy and lovely. The location is just at the center of the town. Overall, this hotel is very very underrated. Very good experience!

We stayed here as part of our Nice Travel 10 night package. We had a nice room and were happy with the accommodations. The breakfast was nice as well. The location is great as it’s a short 2 min walk into an area with many restaurants and shops. If you’re in the area, consider staying here as it was a nice hotel

Giving it 5 stars comparing to other places we've been staying at along the Iceland Ring Road. Stayed in newer building and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was greatly enjoyed by the whole family. Would recommend and gladly stay again if coming through area.

The reservations desk assistance was excellent. Dinner was not available. The rooms were very tiny. Good for one person, not two. Bathroom was accessible for two, only if one stood in the shower. There was no mini-ridge, I'm a diabetic and need to store my insulin. No USB recepticals.

Stayed at the new part which unfortunately does not have a sea view but rooms are brand new and nice. Breakfast room was in the older part and kind of small but good variety.

Possibly the best hotel in Akureyri (we were in the new facility), with a very stylish and cool vibes, every room is well decorated, with details that make it elegant, breakfast was an absolute delight, with the best cinnamon roll we ever had, and the reception was extremely helpful and nice (with special mention to the gentleman from Barcelona). You won't go wrong with this hotel for sure! Location is central (2-5mins from the center).
