Hotel Al Lago

We really enjoyed our four night stay. Our room was very comfortable-huge bed and lots of pillows. Food choices were good, favourites included seafood stew and homemade ice creams. Owners and staff were all friendly. Excellent breakfast choices and good coffee.

I can't say enough positive things above this place. First, it's just beautiful, yes the town but the HOTEL! I don't understand how it's listed as a 2 star in Europe.. we travel a lot and this is ( although tiny) closer to a 5 star! The rooms are tasteful, well decorated and very clean, bathroom immaculate and more what an American would expect. Prices are low and staff is amazing. The restaurant in the hotel is fantastic with breathtaking views and food to die for! This chef can make anything and he'd make Gordon Ramsey jealous of his skills. My wife and I had VERY little time here and are planning another trip to Spain solely to stay here ... It worth the trip. Before we left I lost my pin on Google maps and forgot the name of the meetup place for our pickup... The chef actually put us in his car and just drove until we saw it!! We wanted a relaxing weekend break with good food in an excellent location, and it ticked every box. The staff were delightful, helpful, friendly. The room was excellent with great views over the lake and towards the mountains. The food was top notch. The music on Sunday evening was a wonderful bonus. We will be back. For those who haven’t visited Zahara, the village is charming and picturesque

Ok, Looking for a SWEET get away, very few tourists? You're looks for Al Lago!! Views 10/10 Service, 10/10 food, 10/10 even the paperwork was the best I've had in Spain. This place was day 5 after Seville, Madrid, Barcelona. . . nothing compared, hell nothing was CLOSE!! And I swear the chef has a Midwest accent, no problem communicating EVERY detail! We weren't there long honestly, but rooms were 10/10 and we are planning our next European vacation for just this place. We were running late, and not only did the chef understand my needs, he ran my wife and I to our bus stop so we didn't miss it!! GEM GEM GEM!!! If you come to Spain, come here!

Great stay in garden flat at hotel Al Logo with wonderful views over the valley. Met by the host on arrival who could not have been more welcoming. Lovely food. Great value and highly recommend.

I had a perfect stay during our journey through Andalusia. The surrounding area and the town itself are beautiful. The hotel is full of charm, the rooms had everything I needed, the food was good, and the service was exceptionally warm and friendly.

Despite arriving early, the team were able to check us in and provide access to the room within 15 minutes. This was really helpful as we had a day of hiking planned for which we were optimally prepared. The room was lovely with a good adjoining bathroom and the bar was great for a drink in the evening. If I had the opportunity again I would probably try the restaurant too based on experiences elsewhere. The breakfast was great the following morning ahead of another early bus. Would absolutely book in to stay again.

Charming spot at base of beautiful village. Friendly staff with a cute bar and restaurant. Stayed two nights for hiking and the host was very helpful in providing guidance.
