Hotel Al Lago

We loved our time in ZAHARA, and our stay at Al LAGO. The hotel’s placement at the foot of the village was wonderfully easy for us with a car — no parking issues or tiny streets to navigate, which we’d experienced in other “white towns”. But easy enough to drive up into the town for the day, and it is lovely!|We found the hotel extremely comfortable, the staff charming and helpful, the restaurant delicious. |En route from Grazalema we took a wonderful 5km loop hike at the top of the pass (the mirador de las Palomas.). Would highly recommend! — just beautiful. Not strenuous. We also did several side trips from ZAHARA to other white towns — enjoyed driving the back roads. |Al LAGO was a real treat for us. Some small touches were very appreciated: comfortable chairs in our room, for sitting; blanket-throws to wrap up in; Kleenex tissues; reasonable laundry service. These sound like small things, but they made a difference. Very g good breakfast also. And lovely staff — did I say that?

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 days in May. It was wonderful. The owners are very present. The restaurant was excellent and has many options. The wine was so good. Our rooms were basic but spotless and the beds were very comfortable and bedding was great. They helped us organize a taxi to Seville with our bikes as it was pouring rain.

We stayed two nights in the beautiful hotel Al Lago, in the enchanting little and quiet Zahara de la Sierra. All good and comfortable with the room. The view is really amazing! Beds and pillows were of high quality. They provided free water and milk for our toddler. The restaurant is also excellent: local food and wines at a good price. The experience is highly recommended.

Very well run Hotel in a great position on the edge of Zahara - good for exploring this lovely white town. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and value for money.||All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the whole experience.

Perfect stop off for a couple of nights when travelling around Andalucia. Accommodation is as described and exactly what you would expect of the rating. The meals we chose were excellent. ||Zahara looks out on stunning scenery and there are some great walks.

Beautiful village, very cute hotel with tastefully decorated rooms, the description is 100% correct. Quiet with great views. We will be back in better weather. Best part is the food - absolutely wonderful. And such an overly family running the place. Thank you.

Wonderful place in very beautiful Andalusian village Zahara de la Sierra. Nice view from terrace, fine hiking area nearby. Charming room, very quiet and cosy restaurant. Tasty breakfast.
