The hotel barely had anyone available at reception. We arrived in the middle of the night - which cost more - and after a few minutes ringing the door bell, someone picked up and let us into the building. The front door to the "hotel" (it's practically an apartment with several rooms) was open and there was a key with our name on a post it. We went inside and there was no one around to speak with.
In the morning, we were woken up by very loud noises around us. They started to clean the rooms very early, on one day at 7am, and we were often woken up by the noise. The walls were very thin, the hotel itself is very small, and we were also unlucky enough to get a room with a window that looked out onto a balcony used as a laundry space (so no natural light came in, the air didn't circulate much, and we were right by a machine that was also pretty loud).
We left our towels out on top of a chair on the second day because we wanted them changed (they weren't changed in the first day, which is OK, but since there's no window in the bathroom they didn't dry). The towels weren't changed, they were left in a pile INSIDE the bathroom sink (which hand't been cleaned as well). They were even wetter than when we left that morning. We tried finding someone to ask to change our towels but there wasn't anyone around. There were also other details: the mattress was a bit uncomfortable, the shower head was clearly old and the water came out in an irregular way, the only warm blanket available was for a single bed (not a double, as we had in our room), etc. Overall, the experience was very, very bad. Honestly, if it had been any worse, we would've had to change hotels.
