We had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Alavera de los Banos. It is an old, traditional style home with a wonderful garden out back for relaxing. The large living room is an enjoyable place for sitting and curling up with a book, or enjoying a drink from their honesty bar. The rooms are small and not updated, but everything is clean. The hotel lies just outside the historic core at the bottom of the hill, so is in a quiet location. It is a pretty steep hike up to the center, so if walking is an issue, this may not be the place for you. The staff was helpful with answering our questions.

In a world of AirB&Bs, it was a breath of fresh air to meet the friendly staff at this hotel. The property is beautiful, full of character and away from the touristy areas, yet still a short walk away from the historical center. I got an upstairs room with balcony, overlooking the gardens and have a great view of the green hills. When I get tired from walking up and down the hills in Ronda, I just relax in my room to enjoy the views. Breakfast was very delicious. One day we had egg omelette and it was fluffy and cooked just right. The hotel can help arrange visits to vineyards, horse riding and spa services if needed. They helped me arrange for a taxi even though I needed it outside of their office hours. Overall, I feel like the team went over and above to make my stay enjoyable and were tremendously helpful with logistics.||At first I was a bit worried about the steep climb up to the center. But it is not a very long walk. I am not super fit and I managed. Ronda is a lovely hill town and it rewards those who are willing to walk the backstreets. Each time I went up to the historical center, I tried a different route walking back to the hotel and I ended up stumbling upon yet another scenic viewpoint. I loved discovering these pleasant surprises!

Very nice, quaint small hotel on the edge of Ronda in a pastoral setting, right next to the Arab baths. A 10 minute walk up the hill to the center action in Ronda. Very friendly staff. Our room had a great walk out to patio. Breakfast was fine. Stayed for 2 nights in late March 2025. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and calm hotel on the edge of the city. We stayed in May and enjoyed the lovely rooms, garden, pool and service. The staff are great - very helpful. We enjoyed the calm, quiet and aircon post the bustling, hot sightseeing of the city. Breakfast was freshly made and sizeable. Slightly different every morning. The pool was clean and lovely for a few hours siesta, similarly the garden. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the end of April when all was lush and flowers were everywhere. We had booked a terrace room. When my husband walked in his face broke out in a big smile and said that the room was beautiful, just what he thought a room in Andalusia should look like, He walked out and sat on the patio and beamed looking out over the garden! The breakfast was wonderful and the service, perfect. Thank you so much for a wonderful couple nights in Ronda!!

Great hotel in Ronda, well pleased with this gem . Well located ( as long as you’re fit to walk up some steep steps). Lovely pool area to relax after strolling round the town, good breakfasts . Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area.

This was just the loveliest place -- so unique and beautiful with an amazing shared space. Very well decorated and relaxing. Great breakfast included. Friendly and charming owners and staff. Really good people. Great location next to the ancient Arab baths. And, such a surprise — they sent us a very well-done guidebook of places to visit while in the area! We were so in love with this hotel, it was hard to leave to go sightseeing. :D Highly recommend!
