Wonderful location, the Costa Rei beach is stunning with crystal clear water (perfect for families with children of all ages) and light golden sand, the beach is clean and in June, not too crowded. |The hotel is 150m from the beach, right next to the hotel is a resto/pizzeria so if you arrive later in the day, lunch/dinner is easy albeit somewhat simple.|Opposite the hotel is a little supermarket for anything extra you might need.|Given all the facilities near to the hotel, a car rental is not necessary if staying for a few days in that area. Beware, inflation has hit Italy and it’s quite expensive to shop or dine out.|What you’re paying for at Hotel Albaruja is prime location to the wonderful beach, but you will probably not go to the pool there as there are not enough shaded areas, and it’s scorching heat June through August, probably strategic to get the clients off premises.|Breakfast was good quality but the selection is small and there were no fresh juices available, 1 concentrated juice put in a glass container and 1 big glass container of cold water. Coffee at the bar is charged extra from what I’ve gathered, the machine available for clients (self-service) at breakfast makes coffee but it’s not great.|The room was clean and the bedding was fine but this is absolutely not 4* quality, it’s a good 3* max, which is fine depending on your expectations.|Also their “bistro” does not serve a proper cooked lunch, a selection of sandwiches is what you’ll be offered, so the only meal you’ll probably eat there is breakfast.|Treat yourself to dinner at the Aragosta restaurant less than 10 minutes away on foot, kind and efficient service with top quality food.

Fabulous hotel- really memorable and highly recommended. It’s quaint and very well kept. Not sure what the negative reviews relate to. Location is perfect - 5mins walk to the beach where you can rent a sunbed (yes you have to pay but you do for any bed on any beach and it’s not cheap but you get a complimentary sandwich at the beach bar). The grounds are well kept and the staff are very friendly and attentive- I left an item in my room after check out and they kindly rang me and kept it until I could return. They recommended very good restaurants. I was also a solo traveller and felt very looked after and safe. Breakfast is great! It’s not a full English but you’re in Italy. Pastries and fruit were delicious and outstanding coffee. My only slight critique is the room walls are not very sound proof- I had a child in the room next to me (not a problem but kids voices tend to travel) and I get to early so I hope I didn’t wake my poor neighbours at 5.30am. Highly recommend if I come back to Sardinia I will return. Thanks

Beautiful little hotel in the most perfect location. Each room has its own little garden or balcony. The staff were extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the beach is literally a 5 min walk. The rooms were a good size, with a little fridge and huge bed and probably the best pillow I’ve ever had . A little old fashioned but this really didn’t matter as everything was so perfect. Beautiful pool area and breakfast was also delicious. This was also included in the price. We were gutted we only had 1 night as neither of us wanted to leave. Thank you for a lovely stay :)

This hotel is really fantastic. I read many reviews before coming and I’m so glad I listened to all the positive and true reviews! Firstly, my husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we are in our 30s & 40s from UK & USA. By European standard this hotel is 4 star, it is extremely well presented, very clean & has everything you need to be comfortable. Our room on the ground floor is lovely with a newly fitted bathroom and you can open doors to the beautiful gardens. Breakfast is very good, everything from fruit, croissants/pastries to a cooked omelette. You can ask for an omelette should you wish and also other drinks like cappuccino etc. The staff are amazing and always helpful, everyone always happy to help. The pool area is lovely, in peak season July 2024 we found it very relaxing, you can lay on the loungers and they have lovely shaders too. Pool was very clean. We can not find fault with the hotel especially considering it is good value for money. The location is perfect, Costa Rei beach is a five min or less walk, great beach! Supermarket walkable too and many restaurants in Costa rei close by in walking distance. The beaches here are some of the most shallow, turquoise looking that I have experienced and the water is warm. It’s a perfect place to come to for relaxation. Great for couples or families, children can play safely in the shallow waters. If you are coming to Sardinia, I strongly recommend this hotel. Ignore any bad reviews because I can confirm they are not correct! I have high expectations as a person and I felt the hotel catered for all our needs. Enjoy!

Great service, beautiful rooms and pool area, amazing beach location. We stayed here with 2 small kids. Everything was lovely. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and afternoon cocktails at the pool. Definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit Sardinia!

Nestled in beautiful gardens, hotel Albaruja is nothing short of a tranquil oasis. Staff are the most efficient you’ll find in this part of town, and overall service has been 5star. Our room (1st floor) was spacious and clean, with good air con and a balcony over looking the gardens. The room was comfortable for us and our toddler, and was peaceful through the day and night so we could rest and sleep well. The room had a small fridge as well. Bathroom was a good size, not huge and with a shower(no bath). The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast is great, everything you could want from cereals and fruits to cooked bacon/eggs as well as an array of Sardinian specialties to chose from. We also had dinner a few times at the hotel, and again, service was impeccable and food delicious as well as relatively good value for money for the two courses set menu.|We really appreciated the speedy delivery of a plate of pasta for a hungry toddler! The pool area is very relaxing and was never busy. The pool is a good length for swimming and also has steps for little ones to get in and out of easily. All pool beds have a shade available as well. Overall a fantastic stay at this hotel and we have to say a huge GRAZIE to all the staff for such a wonderful stay.

The location close to beach is what saves this place.||Let’s start with the good:||Easy parking outside||Receptionists are friendly and helpful||Breakfast food selection is good ||You can borrow a parasol and chairs for the beach. ||They have a beach bar where you can get some cold drinks and nibbles.||The bad:||Pool is dirty, tiles are green, it’s also emptier than it should be. So are the paths around it, never saw anyone cleaning.||Room was big but dark and dated, grey/brown walls and lighting don’t help.||Bistro opens at 5:30 pm, nothing served before if you are in the hotel.||Location is by the side of a busy road and local noise and music on weekends is loud.||Breakfast staff is friendly but in need of training,it’s of plates on people’s tables they never cleared, even when they were free they didn’t have the initiative to do it without being asked

The Photos are very deceptive. The rooms are very dark and dingy, with tired and faded décor and rickety worn out furniture. The Dinning room is not shabby chic but just shabby. There were flies on the food on the tiny little Breakfast table and there was very limited breakfast choice. Its more like a old fashioned Irish Bed & Breakfast We were extremely disappointed and we do not believe this is a 4 star Hotel. woudld NEVER go there again
