Hotel Albatros

Upon arrival, I chose a room that was in a better part of the hotel with a sea view with half board. When I came for dinner, they didn't want to give it to me because I only paid for breakfast. I went to the reception and was told that half board is only available from 3 nights. I told the receptionist that he had deceived me. He shook his head and nothing. The air conditioning still doesn't cool but heats. If it weren't for the view from the balcony, I would have left long ago. The hotel is 42 years old and is completely retro. So I don't recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was built in the 1960s, carries a vintage charm that gives it a unique character you don’t often find anymore. While it’s clearly aged, that’s part of what makes it so special. The staff were exceptionally friendly, adding warmth to the entire experience. At the back of the hotel, there’s a hillside densely covered with trees, it’s not an area you can walk through or explore, but the view from inside the hotel is beautiful and calming, like looking out onto a quiet forest. In contrast, the front offers a breathtaking seaside view, especially from the upper floors. I stayed on the 6th floor, where the internet connection was a bit spotty, which actually encouraged me to slow down and disconnect. For those needing to work, the lobby is a spacious, quiet area with reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of comfortable seating. Staying here felt like stepping back in time in the best way. It’s not a typical modern hotel, and it’s definitely not for everyone - but for someone looking to rest, reflect, and slow down, it was perfect.

The reception breakfast and restaurant are all great and everything is very close the rooms are very clean so the room doesn’t really matter compared to everything else

To be honest, I’m disappointed. The hotel looks fancy and due to the price I did expect more.||Best thing: the bath. Nice cliffs and great water for bathing. But they charge you for using the sun beds.||The hotel is really old. To me it kind of screamed “welcome to Soviet”. And not in a good way. The room is really old, definitely not as good looking as the promotion pictures.||Air con leaking and dripping water on the carpet. The shower has no curtain nor a place to put the shower head, you’ll have to hold it up. Really noisy and a bit stinky corridor, also very dark. Elevators from the early 50th. WiFi not working in the room. Balconies being... dull.

We have been travelling with my boyfriend for holiday and got recommendation for the venue from friends. I must admit I was quite sceptical due to the previous reviews I have seen here. It is true that it is very old hotel but it was very well maintained. The place is lovely and is the only ameniti on the top of the hill in the pine woods so it has the perfect location, lovely view, fresh breeze all the time. It was extremly clean, safe and the personal is so nice! Very, very valuable for the money.

Object perfectly placed by the sea in fine pine forest, far enough from the city crowd. Satisfactionary quality/price ratio, but I think in low season, only... Restaurant has a tarrace with fine sea view (look at picture) but unfortunately once we were not allowed to use it during dinner... Rooms simple but enough, and the main thing: rooms were clean, cleaned each day, towels were changed each day. All rooms had a fantastic sea view.||||We had an accomodation with HB and I don't know if it was a good choice because dinners were served and you had rather low choice... :[ (menu on photograph) And quality of meals was not the same as I expected... rather bar meals... not restaurant ones.. Finally I hadn't forced myself to eat.. It was rather tasty, but not delicious... Breakfast from buffet table, rather simple... for two days it was enough... I was able to find something for me. For a longer time it would be a disaster... Butter was not available... I've taken margarine called "Butler" (such small joke)... but the taste was not the same :[ Beach was reconstructed, so we weren't able to use it. Steep shore not suitable for children. We've taken small beach (Mala plaza) in city center - in the end of May it was rather empty. Some years ago I was in Ulcinj in July... It was full as football stadium... totally disaster and misunderstanding... We had rooms on a sixth floor and we were forced to use elevators... which smelled like the old basements and worked like an old soviet tank...

The bathroom in the room was terrible, and the room smell old, the breakfast was limited variety of itemsthe worst was buffets don't have any fruits. The good side of this hotel is facing the sea, it is beautiful all the days and the bad side was the room and found some small insects in the room. |

One of the best hotels, cheap clean location prefect, No where in ULCINJ you wont find such a wonderful sea view room like in Albatros. The food is good, like home made. |The fresh air from the pin wood and salty sea, the light of the sun all day are just heaven.|When in Ulcinj, than only HOTEL ALBATROS.
