Full of charm and peacefulness, we loved this hotel! The ADC is located just inside the walls, making it easy to access by car and then easy to walk into the town. Our rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. We enjoyed a quiet drink in the courtyard, which was so chilled out and relaxing. ADC was helpful in advance of our arrival at getting us a dinner reservation and provided prompt and thoughtful service throughout. Breakfast was beautifully arranged and with a good number of options. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic town that is Evora, and the ADC was an ideal place to stay there.

Absolutely wonderful stay. If you imagine a small country inn in Portugal, this is it. Perfect atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. ||Our room was large and comfortable, the bed was great and the bathroom had tons of space. ||Location just inside the old city walls means it’s an easy walk to all the sights. Parking very easy and secure. ||We had a nice dinner in the courtyard and you don’t even notice the ramp to the underground (secure) parking. ||One of our better stays in Portugal.

When we were headed to Evora to tour the old city, my wife found Albergaria do Calvário - Boutique Hotel on Tripadvisor. It's inside the old city wall and easy to get to,. They have paid parking on site but by the time we got there it was full so we had to park outside the city wall in a free public parking lot, only about a 3 minuet walk. The hotel is quaint, a bit upscale. Room was fine, not much view but then it seems like we never get a room with a view. Was a good choice for a day tour of Evora. The host recommended we head to dinner soon and picked a place that was close and excellent. Breakfast the next morning was good, we toured the city in about a half of a day and headed to our next stop.

We were traveling from Lisbon to southern Portugal and decided to stop here for 2 nights because of the extraordinary experiences available in this amazing town. Very glad we did. The hotel really added to the experience. It is located away from the city centre, and is quiet, but only a few minutes walk to the main sights. ||Pleasant rooms and staff, who were very helpful. Recommend this hotel (and Evora in general). Rooms varied, and while in an older building were appropriately furnished with good facilities

Hotel is a beautiful old building. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The parking is a bit tight, but this is Europe so “normal”. Location is quiet and inside the city wall so an easy walk to all of old town.

The hotel is lovely, clean and friendly staff with great 100% cotton linens. Tastefully decorated. Parking for 10euro. No view. The breakfast was good. The restaurant looked good. Am marking down because of this situation...I had a michelin star O Taverno in mind but one of the hotel staff told me many of the restaurants were closed and booked Bistro Barao for us. We were served (without asking for) a very simple appetizer of bread, cheese and ham and charged 26Euro for it. Total inflated tourist trap scam. Super disappointing since I later saw that O Tavero that I had originally wanted to go to was open. I cant imagine why the hotel would have swayed me away from that restaurant to recommended Bistro Barao and why they would not have warned me to tell the restaurant no to any overpriced appetizer just put on the table.

Perfection from check in to check out. We were greeted warmly by Hugo and given a fanatic orientation to the city with recommendations and easy to find sites. The room was comfortable and inviting, even had a fridge. The breakfast was fantastic including cook to order hot items. The buffet had home cooked baked goods and quiches. All very delicious. Rarely does a hotel advertising SURPASS what you get upon arrival, but this place is a true gem full of history and true caring. Evora itself is not to be missed, we had a fantastic experience.

To begin with, their masterly "Before You Arrive" electronic brochure made me want to rearrange my trip so I could stay in Evora longer. A truly loving and affectionate introduction to their home city and region. Then I overloaded their customer service staff as I tried to arrange guides and restaurants in advance--prompted by their "Before You Arrive" recommendations. Timing and guides didn't work out because of timing constraints, but the staff kept trying. But we were delighted in the restaurant advice. The hotel staff even tried to help me book restaurants in other cities in Portugal when my local hotel was unhelpful. Loved the location, breakfasts, and rooms. Their on-site parking was tight, but convenient. [We should have rented smaller cars. Proved true here and elsewhere!]
