We loved Evora! We drove from the Algarve to the town (about 2.5 - 3hours) of a olive-tree and mountain range scenery which was stunning! We stayed at Albergaria Do Calvario hotel in Evora which was right off one of the main, exterior roads so super easy to find. This is a boutique hotel - so a smaller/quiet vibe. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond — greeting us with cookies and water in the room and a pre-chilled room to help us settle in comfortably because it was 38 degrees that day.||The room was incredibly spacious, with a beautiful separate master bedroom and a separate bed for our child in the living room. We loved the views of the cobblestone streets, and the hotel itself offered so many thoughtful extras: a ibrary, a space to play board games, chess table area, or enjoy wine and cheese, and multiple sitting areas including one with a TV (plus TVs in the rooms, though we barely used them).||Breakfast was excellent — eggs made to order, a generous spread, and friendly service. The staff also recommended one of the best meals we had in Portugal, on a lovely pedestrian only street with lots of options! ||Evora, itself, is a fantastic town, full of charm and history, and our only regret is not staying longer. We saw the Bone Chapel, the Temple of Diana, and Cathedral. Unfortunately because it was a short visit, we missed our opportunity to go to the museum. However, 30mins away (plus about a 30 min hike) is the Cromlech's which were cool. if anyone is looking to go to Evora, this hotel was warm, welcoming, and absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend! Will stay at this chain or this hotel again.
