Hotel Alborán Algeciras

Fabulous hotel to stay in with some of the most welcoming staff. The rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds and air con. Stocked room fridge and bottled water. Excellent shower with good flow. The food in the restaurant is very good with many choices, and a good selection of wines too. Outside by the pool is a nice area which catches the sun all day. And only about a 20 minute walk to the beach! Highly recommended 👌

A very warm welcome on arrival. Room was clean and comfortable (once I’d turned the heating down from 28C!). Breakfast was ok although on the first morning the hot food was barely luke warm. I was early the second morning and it was hot then. Bar was excellent and staff very friendly. Pizzas are good too. Location is a way out of town but I don’t mind walking and there seemed to|be plenty of buses with stops outside the hotel. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Algeciras.

The restaurant does not have a gluten-free meal, we received a cold piece of meat on our plate and a few boiled potatoes that we had not asked for, we had asked for fried fries, and a portion of pork, one board of meat was just cold and almost not fried, the other plate got a piece of gray fried meat on the plate. My question as to why we didn't get fries was the simple answer that they are always fried in one large basket, and therefore gluten-free fries are not available. Is it so difficult to put on a pan of fat and fry a few fries in it for the gluten-free request of the customers? There was no effort at all to make the meal into something decent. That is why the restaurant, which probably has to regularly provide meals for entire groups of people, when I look at the rooms, gets a very big 1 as a rating and I will certainly NOT recommend people to order their meals from this restaurant.

We were awaiting a Blabacar and were greeted warmly in English by a charming young woman who asked to store our luggage ( in anticipation of a wedding ) while we went to the bar. Oscar the barman was friendly ( again in English 👏👏 ) with bottles of wine, tapas and a seafood pizza. We did not stay longer than 90 minutes but it was still a wonderful experience in beautiful surroundings. Thank you so very much.

The staff were so lovely, especially one particular lady on reception. |The food is lively and so varied from A lacarte to snacks in the cafeteria.|The room was clean and rended to daily. |The only thing that could be slightly better is the buffet breakfast. There's plenty to choose from, and it's all lovely. However, the pastries were not covered. When I took one, a load of fruit flues flew up.|Everything was so simple and the staffs English was sooooo much better than my Spanish.|

The hotel looked very good. Clean and nice, the rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel looked very good inside. in the pool area it was also fine. There was only one thing we didn't like, and that was the food. we first tried dinner, it was a disappointment. The next day we tried again, this time for lunch. Same there, a real disappointment. After that we didn't eat there anymore. It's basically a shame because the hotel is good with pleasant service and nice premises. The area the hotel was in wasn't the best either, but it was certainly short distances by taxi to the surrounding areas.

Stayed to visit Gibraltar. Excellent bus service from just outside the hotel. Appreciated being able to drop our car into the hotel's secure parking for the day. The position of the hotel makes it perfect for a stop-off on a coastal road trip as it is just off main highway but there is not much to do around the hotel. The room had everything we needed for a night.

Incredibly beautiful Hotel and very polite staff. Rooms are very clean, Wi-Fi is fast. Kitchen and bar are great and very tasty. Hotel is located in very quiet area, Your relaxation will not be disturbed by any extraneous noise from street. Hotel features outdoor pool, beautiful patios and fountain. Generally, if You intend to visit Algeciras, then I recommend to You stay at this Hotel. You will never regret this choice of location.
