From A to Z a wonderful experience! Friendly reception, super rooms with plenty of space, the food was exceptional from breakfast to dinner and the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure the holiday was enjoyable. From start to finish, from reception to dining room the service was top!

We had a perfect stay in this lovely hotel. Both modern and keeping with tradition. The “arven” wooden rooms smell awesome and almost guarantee a good night sleep. The restaurant is very good as well. We had both a mixture of fish and meat dishes - all very well prepared and nicely served. The hotel has parking next door for chf 15 a day.

We loved the sembra pine decorated room and the comfortable beds. Everything was very clean and well-arranged and we enjoyed staying here very much. The breakfasts were amazing, with everything one could want, and staff that was friendly and helpful. It was marvelous having the Konditorei attached to the hotel--one could smell the aromatic bread baking in the wee hours of the morning! The offerings at the restaurant were fabulous. We ate there two evenings, and we all agreed they were two of the best meals we had ever eaten. The front desk was so helpful, and the tins of shortbread given to us upon departure ensured that we continued to have lovely remembrances of our stay for several days afterward. The offer of a shuttle ride to the train station is a big plus. We loved our stay here and everyone who made it what it was. This is a wonderful hotel, in a wonderful location, and we enjoyed our stay here tremendously.

Family run hotel with a passion for details. Very pleasant staff, super meals , lovely room.||Constant quality over the years. The breakfast is phenomenal. Evening meals are excellent and imaginative with a huge choice in half board. This hotel is well above its official 3 stars. There is also a very pleasant terrace for an ice cream the afternoon..

I recommend the Hotel Albris with great warmth. My room, a small single, was very comfortable and quiet. The quality of both the food, especially the baked goods, and of the service was exceptional. I very much appreciated the hotel's supplying a card that gets you transportation all over the area (e.g., on the Languard chairlift). The spa area on the first floor was beautiful and serene. During my three days at the hotel (and perhaps this was anomalous), I was struck by how elderly the other guests were; I'm 54 and felt like a blushing youth. This didn't bother me in the least, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel for exciting nightlife. In positive terms, if you're an older person who likes to eat delicious food in a hushed dining room with other people your age, this is your place!

Lovely experience. Kind and thoughtful staff, comfortable modern rooms with a touch of traditional charm and excellent food. The hotel sits on top of the famous Kochendorfer's Bakery, so the selection of bread and baked goods at breakfast is always fresh and delicious and the cakes etc in the cafe are excellent.

We stayed at Hotel Albris for just one night in June. This hotel was the best we stayed at during our 3 week tour of Europe! Spacious room, CLEAN and a beautiful view out the window. Also, the breakfast was to die for! So many choices. Doesn't hurt that the hotel is on top of a bakery/chocolate shop either. Wonderful, caring staff that let us hang out in part of the restaurant before our train because it was raining. Really regretted not staying longer here.

OK. So now we are starting to understand how the hotels in the Engadine work, as we hike town to town. And we are starting to realize that this is the way to go! And this hotel is the perfect place to base your vacation! What a treat it is! A warm welcome when we arrived (how do they know who we are???), plus the clerk showed us around the restaurant and walked us to our room. Our room was small, but I know they have larger ones, for when we return and want to stay longer! So we went to the restaurant for dinner - of course they knew who we are and took us to "our" table. We had our choice of 2 or 3 things for each of 4 courses, and it was all great! Returning for breakfast, we were told to go to our table - it was then that I suddenly "Got" how this whole half-board thing worked! (Hate to say this, but the husband was still clueless as to which table was "ours"!!) Then we talked to people who had been coming back to this place for 10 years and finding things to do/hike every year! This is THE place! We would definitely return here! Oh! And there is a Bakery and Candy store in the lobby - what could possibly be wrong with that?!?!?

Yelp
This was my first time in this Hotel, and I had a great experience in the hotel. The hotel is situated right next to the post office, where you can find post cards to send to family and friends. There is a COOP (equivalent to Safeway in USA) that has all of the essentials that you would need for food, as well as other various things including Makeup supplies, silverware, ready-to-eat meals, and fresh bread. The hotel is also located next to the "Engadin Bus" bus stop. The train station my be a little far to walk, because it is all uphill and with baggage that trek can be a little difficult, but luckily you can call the hotel and they will send someone to pick you up, or you can take the Engadin Bus to the "Post" stop and the hotel is right next door. The staff are extremely friendly. When you walk in the door to check in (Check-in is at 2PM or 14:00 as of 6/21/12) they give you your room key as well as a pass to go on all the cable cars, ski lifts, and funiculars in the area as well as some of the trains and all of the Engadine Buses. They also give you a map and information packet for all the skilifts that has important information about the hours of operation of the ski lifts in the area, and a timetable of the Engadine Buses. At the hotel, they have various amenities, such as a wellness center that has a sauna, steam bath, tanning bed, exercise room (exercise room is very small, there is only a bicycle machine and elliptical) and lawn chairs to rest in. In the wellness center they also provide you with a fruit drink, and some assorted fruits (it was apple and peaches while I was staying there). They also have a garden with lawn chairs and a table where you can have lunch along with some big umbrellas to keep you shielded from the sun. From the garden you have almost no view, all you can see is a highway and the river rapids that are right in front of the garden. The hotel also offers free W-Lan (Internet) from Swisscom, you must get a User name and Passcode form the front desk. There is also a restaurant and bakery on the bottom floor, I haven't tried the restaurant while I was staying there, but I know that you must wear formal attire when dining. I stayed in a Good Double Room (more information about the rooms and pricing @ http://www.albris.ch/en/hotel/Hotel-Rooms.html), it was very cozy. It had a TV, a full bathroom with a scale, two sinks, a bathtub, and came with all the toiletries that one would need. The bed was very comfortable with comfortable bedsheets. We had an operable window with views of the mountains and the lovely new parking garage that they are building. In the room you also have a cabinet with room for all of your belongings and a safe. (Caution: if you use the safe without leaving the door open, you will get charged a fee to reset the safe). There is also a desk with a desk lamp, a couple drawers, and complementary treats and water on a plate. The room comes with coat racks and a shoe rack. I would recommend to stay at this hotel is you are looking to stay for a couple days, or if you want to stay here for a couple weeks, it is really nice. However, if you are looking for something a little more upscale, then you should head over to the Hotel Walther that is right across the street. Important Information: - There is a deposit of CHF 10.- for each skilift pass - When you reserve ahead of time, they will send you a confirmation e-mail with all the information for you to review, but you must respond to that e-mail to tell them that you confirm that you are going to be at the hotel for those nights, and that all of the information is correct.
