We were hugely impressed with this hotel, way above our expectations, Sos del Rey is a hidden gem and the views from EVERY room (they all face on the same side) are simply to die for!! The location is convenient (you can walk anywhere in the old town in just a few minutes) and very quiet. What a treat it was to stay here, hope to be back one day.

Awsome hotel with a lovely view back towards town. Lovely short walk into town, fabulous views across the valley. Also ½ the price of the old people's home (Paradore).

The laundry service was great on a rainy day. The beds were comfortable. My struggle was there were only 2 bathrooms, with a toilet/shower all in one so it meant being patient if you just needed to use the toilet while everyone was showering or brushing their teeth in the morning. The dinner was optional; however, I wouldn’t suggest getting it. It was quite disappointing with just a cold pasta salad with veggies and tuna. There was yogurt for dessert and wine/water. Honestly, I would have paid 2€ more for a nice, hot soup. Pilgrims need calories and this was lacking. Yes, I’ve read others reviews and the owner response that it’s optional and pilgrims should be grateful. But this is how we feel and we should have opted out for the dinner but I didn’t have the energy to find other food. The breakfast was ok. The coffee was cold had to be microwaved. The toast and jam was fine.

The hotel is in a great location with a fabulous view of the medieval town. Rooms were comfortable and very clean, with a super view from the balcony. We had bed and breakfast and the continental breakfast was good. We ate dinner in the restaurant, the waitress was super and spoke excellent English. The food was good and wine very reasonably priced. A great stop!

Really nice hotel with views of Sos. Very pet friendly - even before arriving the owner assured us that our pets were welcomed and we could even have them with us if we'd like to have a drink at the bar (either inside or outside). We had a room on the third / top floor - very spacious with a little balcony to enjoy the sunrise. They were well aware of guests with celiacs disease and had gluten free bread available, and could make recommendations according to my dietary needs. The elderly couple who run the place are so sweet and always have a moment to chat with you!

The room was basic with limited amenities, but it was clean, and so good value for the price we paid. The view is stunning. It's just outside the old town, which means there is ample parking, and a very short walk into the old walled town. I liked that there was an individually priced breakfast menu, so you don't have to fork out 20 euros on an expensive buffet if you only want a coffee and a croissant - rare to find in hotels these days.

A friend and I stayed here while doing a motorcycle tour in August 2023. I totally fell in love with the town and found all the staff so friendly. One in particular was a lovely dark haired and dark eyed waitress who served my breakfast and had to endure my terrible Spanish whilst trying to work around my food allergy. I never got to ask her name so I called her "heramosa mujer " (beautiful woman ). Next time we visit il hopefully talk better Spanish. Our room was lovely and clean with a fantastic view of mountains and the town. There is ample, safe parking at the hotel and you get to see praying mantis and geckos in the evenings as they are native there. My only suggestion would have been the ability to separate the single beds as it felt like I was sharing a bed with my friend who is male and I really don't fancy him. I've read some reviews about the breakfast being not worth the money, but I'm sure had these people bothered to ask for more the staff would have happily obliged. I will definitely return next year, hopefully speaking better Spanish.
