Hotel Alfa 3-Sterne-Hotel

Nothing special, but it's located next to a very scenic area by a beautiful river, with restaurants on the water, lots of grass areas for picnics overlooking the river and bridges. The river leads to very large park, perfect for an afternoon stroll or evening/morning run. There is a cute little cafe for refreshments in the park, which has toilets and there are outdoor exercise equipment in the park. Lots of traditional Swiss restaurants within walking distance of the hotel It's conveniently located right outside a tram/bus stop. The hotel is self clean. The hallways leading into the rooms are quite creepy though 😂

That hotel goes beyond my expectations.You just go down the stairs and catch the tram which take you to city center for 10 min.The public transport is free if you have a reservation in Basel.The rooms are comfy and clean.It is very calm quater

Great location right next to the train stop. Easy to get into old town Basel in 10 minutes. Nice and quiet since it is out of the city center. Great modern rooms and friendly staff. Wish we could have requested more than two towels but other than that it was great.

A very nice little hotel with excellent service and a great location. Will gladly stay there again.

Located directly by a tram stop, the hotel is a sound, reasonable value (comparatively!) choice for a short-stay city break. Our good-sized room was quiet, comfortable with all necessary facilities. Buffet breakfast was simple but filling with meats, breads, pastries and a welcome coffee to start the day. The restaurant appeared to be limited in its opening. Staff on reception were friendly and efficient.||||Officially the hotel is just outside the Basel city boundary but its only 7 minutes by the extremely frequent and efficient tram, or a 30-40 minute walk to the city centre via the road or along the River Rhine path. There are a range of restaurants within walking distance.

Good location, free parking, quite big rooms, good price in swiss. Bars and restaurants nearby.

🇨🇭 The room was so clean with scenic views outside. The service can be improved and unfortunately there was no air-conditioning The breakfast was super filling with so much variety to offer particularly choices of different cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here especially the surrounding River Rhine.

Very loud traffic noise to the room. No aircon. No wordrobe or even a clother rack with hangers to hang clothes. Shower a cubicle of max 1m*1m. Wifi not working. Would be disappointing even for what expected for a 3star hotel when paying 150eur a night. Now a whopping 450eur a night, booked 2 nights. Hotel never bothered to answer guest’s before-the-visit questions (to their email). Very very disappointed.
