If I could give this hotel no stars I would! A compete scam and the worse of what we expect from a hotel stay!
I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but I felt I had to after witnessing what happened to my friend Mathilde at Hotel Alfred Sommier.
I was with her for much of her stay and saw firsthand the issues she described in her own very detailed review. She also shared her experience on social media, where other people reacted and shared similar concerns. Yet, instead of listening and reflecting, the hotel keeps replying to Google reviews by basically saying that guests are lying or “not telling the truth.”
For a so-called luxury hotel, I find this attitude extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and quite frankly scam!
Mistakes can happen anywhere, but repeatedly dismissing customers’ experiences and suggesting they’re dishonest is a huge red flag. It’s quite strange that so many people would supposedly be “lying” about similar problems, while the hotel refuses to take any real responsibility but also gaslighting the customer to this extent.
Personally, after seeing how my friend was treated and how the hotel handles criticism, I would not feel comfortable staying here, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.
Stay away from this hotel and spend your money elsewhere!
