An Exceptional Stay at a Truly Iconic Hotel Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional and unforgettable. The hotel is elegant and beautifully designed in an authentic Andalusian style, which gives it a unique charm and historical atmosphere. We stayed in a luxurious suite with a very spacious balcony, which added great comfort and enjoyment to our experience. The hotel’s location is excellent, being very close to the Alhambra Palace, making our visit even more special and convenient. What truly made our stay outstanding was the hotel staff. From the guest service staff at the main entrance, to the receptionist, as well as the lobby café and restaurant staff — everyone was professional, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The breakfast was luxurious and varied, reflecting a high standard of hospitality and quality. My wife and I had planned since our marriage to visit Granada and stay at this prestigious hotel. Finally, we had the joy of celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary in Granada while staying at the magnificent Alhambra Palace Hotel. It was a dream come true and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking elegance, history, and exceptional service.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The biggest advantage is its location—just a five-minute walk to the Alhambra Palace. The second highlight is the hotel restaurant. I had the best panciotti, prepared just like in an authentic Italian restaurant, and one of the best desserts of my life: the chocolate cake with orange compote, which I will never forget. The room size was very decent. However, if there’s one small note, it’s that the reception staff didn’t pay much attention to greeting guests when entering or leaving the hotel, so you miss that extra touch of service you usually experience in boutique hotels.

This is a 5 star hotel on all aspects other than 3 very important ones. 1: There is no gym or weight room. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this size. 2: There is no room designated temperature control, so you are at the mercy of the general hotel’s temperature. We went in December while the outdoor temp was around 10 C, and the indoor temperature was probably around 23 C, definitely a little hot for my taste. We opened the window to cool down the room. 3: Most frustratingly, the WiFi is completely unusable. From the rooms, the speed is not even fast enough to watch a YouTube video without buffering, let alone stream something or try a conference call. This was very frustrating. Otherwise, this hotel is top notch. The location is excellent and the staff are very pleasant. They should really just work on the above three things, the last one should be very easy to solve.

Maite was one of the best staff I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel a lot and used to work the front desk of a hotel myself. She went above and beyond to help me locate an item I lost in Seville (and we found it!!) but she also patiently allowed my family to change rooms because they are indecisive 🙈 It was not just us she was great with, she handled all of the guests I saw with great care and professionalism. The hotel is lucky to have her! The hotel overall is very nice and comfortable, but do remember that it is a very old property and has signs of aging (some crumbling tiles, chipped paint, and some strong mildew smells in the bathroom). The views and location to the Alhambra cannot be beat, though, and I would still stay here again 🥰

The Alhambra Palace Hotel in Granada is simply outstanding. This high-quality, impeccably maintained hotel offers wonderful views and a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. Every aspect of the service impressed us—reception, valet parking, housekeeping, breakfast staff, and terrace staff were all exemplary. The food is of the highest standard, with an inspiring menu that delights at every meal. Its location is ideal, providing convenient access to both Granada and the Alhambra. The only minor improvement would be the addition of an outdoor area for relaxing, as the current terrace below the hotel is closed. Overall, a flawless stay that I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Service was truly exceptional, from reception to dining service & housekeeping. Want to give shout out to the awesome reception staff (Macarena, Christina & sorry I miss one lady who’s super kind when she attended us when we arrived, Monday morning. Vincent was very helpful too. The location couldn’t be better - perched just steps from Alhambra itself with sweeping views of Granada and Sierra Nevada. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The decor is stunning and make you feel immersed in Andalusian history.

Excellent location and breakfast. A little expensive for dinner and drinks. We shared a room between 3 friends making this excellent value for a short stay in stunning Granada within walking distance of the most interesting sights and experiences.

This is a beautiful hotel with some similar architecture to the Alhambra. The public areas are unbelievable. The terrace restaurant has amazing views of the city and lovely sunsets. We booked through Expedia and received a good rate for the property but as always when I book with them the rooms are subpar in size and views. My sister booked through American Express and had a much lovelier view and room for same category. Service was excellent.. Tomas at the terrace restaurant and bar was very congenial. Hotel did not provide hair conditioner in room but it was available upon request.

Very nice hotel we only stayed one night. Beautifully decorated. Great service. We also had light snacks and drink. Which was ok . Did not like their dumlings( Gyoza) . Sauce was darl soy sauce very salty. My husband ordered cardhu whisky he enjoyed his drink. The view ftom this hotel is spectacular. Pur toom was nice too.

Hotel Alhambra Palace Granada, Spain I love these old world palaces and castles turned into hotels, once we landed at the airport, pickup bags our driver was outside baggage claim holding a sign with our name on it. At the hotel the experience was something special our driver uploaded our three huge bag and two carry-on. A concierge meet us carted the bag a lead us to check- in (he would let us touch a thing). Once checked in he escorted us across the beautiful lobby to our room. The bag followed shortly.

05/(05-06)/23 - Granada Spain - Hotel Alhambra Palace. WOW we absolutely loved it. The Hotel Alhambra Palace sits @ the top of the mountain very close to the world heritage Alhambra Palace. This hotel is absolutely stunning from the moment you walk in. From our third floor room in a corner suite you can see the city of Granada below. This hotel is very heavily influenced by the Moors that ruled Spain & Portugal Moors Ruled Spain and Portugal for 754 Years Before The Collapse of The Mali Empire Here are some facts about the Moors in Europe: The Moors Introduced Numerous New Fruits and Vegetables to Europe. The Moors introduced a variety of fruits and vegetables that were previously unknown in both Spain and Europe, and thus deemed exotic novelties. These items included peaches, lemons, oranges, saffron, cotton, rice, silk, sugar cane, apricots, figs, dates, pomegranates and many others. Although commonplace today, during the Middle Ages these items were almost alien to the Spanish. Today, centuries later, they have become staples of Spanish production and diet. The Moors Were Several Steps Ahead of Medieval Europe. At the time of their conquest of the Iberian Peninsula , the advanced civilization of the Arabs was renowned for its architecture, science, mathematics and exploration. The best, most palatial & exquisite hotel! I stayed at this hotel 25 years ago when I was twenty one years old and traveling with my family. I almost cried when we pulled up to the entrance with my husband and three kids a few nights ago, 25 years after my first stay. I had no idea we were staying at the same hotel!. Our wonderful travel agent through Spain Top booked our stay so this was a complete surprise. The glamour and elegance it possessed back then still prevails today. This hotel is THE EPITOME OF WHAT A FIVE STAR HOTEL should be. From the first class service of the INCREDIBLE STAFF to the gorgeous rooms to the grand amenities and stateliness this hotel exemplifies CLASS. Every staff member we encountered was INCREDIBLE and went over and beyond to take care of us and make sure our stay was perfection. The lovely hostess who welcomed us at breakfast each morning has been there for 31 years, a true testament to this hotel's magnificence. I wouldn't stay at any other hotel in Alhambra. If you want a hotel with unmatched charm, history, grandeur, spacious rooms, comfort and first class service look no further!!!!!

Note: this is the listing for the Alhambra Palace HOTEL-NOT THE MONUMENT We stayed at the Alhambra Palace hotel for two nights on a short visit to Granada as part of a two-week trip to Spain. We booked a "junior suite" room and stayed for two night in mid April. We've stayed in dozens of luxury hotel all over the world and based on our experience THIS IS NO 5-star hotel. BUT HEY, the Alhambra and Generalife (gardens) are probably on you bucket list and really the only reason to visit Granada, so you might as well stay close to the monument. The VAST MAJORITY of visitors to Granada stay ONE NIGHT. MY ADVICE: book the cheapest room and set your expectations low. The two best features to this hotel are the moorish style architecture and proximity to the Alhambra (across the street). I must admit I had high hopes based on the website but was VERY underwhelmed when shown to our room on floor -2 (yes that is minus 2) room 702. (There are 4 floors up and 2 below the lobby level-thinking we were maybe punished for not booking direct on hotel website. NOTE: we met another couple, from Scotland who also booked a Junior suite through booking.com and were also given a crummy room.) Pros: -adjacent to the Alhambra - 5 min walk. -great views from the room of the city -beautiful lobby -nice view from the bar overlooking the city Cons: -low quality and over priced food -40€ for two glasses of wine and a cheese plate -finicky Wi-Fi-difficult getting it to connect-I gave up and used my cell phone data package for most of the stay -not terribly noise-proof - fair amount of noise from above, doors slamming in hallways and water gurgling in the walls definitely-NOT soundproof as stated on booking website -tiny, cramped outdated bathroom in room 702-NOTHING LIKE THE MODERN up to date ones shown on their website-bordering on false advertising - bath was barely 6 feet wide and in their "renovation" they seemed to have added frosted glass panels to wall off the toilet-making a small room even smaller-toilet area similar to space on an airplane -English skills of waiters (very limited) and front desk (just ok) based on my experience -NOT A 5* or luxury hotel based on our two night stay in room 702 -front desk staff cold and NOT AT ALL eager to help guests or be at all friendly. Limited assistance from the concierge-not sure they even really had one. I'm sure once I post this there will be some apologetic response from the manager saying that's not the service they strive for, etc. etc since they know 99% of their guests will visit Granada for a day or two in a lifetime, they have nothing to lose by sounding apologetic. My advice-IF YOU STAY here, INSIST on a room matching the premium price you paid. Don't be like us here venting after the fact. OR just suck it up and accept that this is a 5-star tourist trap.

Its ok. Nothing really good inside. Its best to take pic on the outside. Its an old architecture so dont expect it to be like what you see in france or london.

Nice place a bit old and needs some updating, room was comfortable, heated toilet seat...nice sheets. Was very convenient to Alhambra but far from bar and restaurant in the center area...AC was good but we were there in early October, nice weather high temperatures was 88, wouldn't go in the summer...I hear temp sore to over a 100 and many places don't have AC. We had lunch & coffee/drinks there in outdoor restaurant view was amazing but food was a bit pricey

A star for the location. This place doesn't deserve all the buzz it gets. It's old in a rustic way, poorly maintained and expensive for no reason. The room was spacious but filthy. Pictures are way exaggerated than reality. There were bed bugs, cockroaches in the bathroom and 2 under the bed. We asked for an early check out but it was too late at night and the staff weren't helpful. Wr had to spend the night in that dumpster until we could speak to someone sane in the morning. The head if housekeeping came to the room to check the "crime scene" and brought one macho security guard who started lifting up beds while I was getting ready to leave anyway. They offered to move us to another room but we turned that down of course. They charged us the room half price because of that scandal but still, never staying there again.

This hotel is really not a 5-star hotel as they advertise. It is more like a 3-star hotel. While it may have been quite opulent back in the day when it opened 100 years ago, it really needs an update, particularly the rooms, hallways, and restaurants. The towels, pillows and toiletries are sub-par and are more in-line with a 3 star hotel. When we asked for turn-down service, they didn't even bother to empty the garbage or clean the dusty floor. Moreover, the food was just average. I would not stay at this hotel again as it was extremely disappointing! I have been at plenty of 5-star hotels and this one was definitely NOT!

This hotel is in a great location for visiting many of the historic sites in old Granada. The hotel is about 100 years old, designed and built with definite influences from the Moorish architecture which surrounds it. The lobby and public areas are beautifully decorated with tiles and furnishings that evoke Granada's past, although some areas needed upgrades or renovations. The staff met us when we drove up to the door, and immediately aided with luggage, and then valeting our car. The desk staff also waited on us immediately, and were very efficient, if not very friendly. While waiting for our room, we decided to have drinks on the terrace overlooking the city. The views were fantastic: the service was not. And, compared to other places in Granada, the prices were high. Our room was small, but acceptable, and the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom had an odd layout, and to use the toilet you had to sit on it sideways because it was located too close to the wall. For the price, I'm not sure I would stay here again.

Hotel straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. Well kept despite some funny dated bits. Amazing view from our window. Good bar with a view of the entire city. Was helpful to stay close to the Alhambra, although know that there are other hotels equally close and it is not a long taxi or bus ride from other parts of town (up hill to get to this hotel and the Alhambra from other parts of town so be relatively fit and be aware of hot weather times). Our room was large with a bedroom and a sitting room and small dining area. We noticed that our room was directly under the dining room so we were awakened in the morning due to chairs being moved around for breakfast. + Tip for visiting the Alhambra: Book the night tour and then buy the regular day tickets for the next afternoon (the night ticket includes morning entry the next morning). It takes that long to see the full campus at a somewhat leisurely pace. Buy the tickets on-line through ticketmaster months in advance (depends on the time of year but could need to book a few months in advance). There are not words to describe the incredible experience of the night tour. Enjoy!

Hotel was very nice location was convenient beautiful views of granada. One problem with staff found them not accommodating had problem with room they nodded like they understood but was like too bad. Hard to figure because if not for them would highly recommend
