The food was mostly good, but very expensive. The Tench Pasta tasted bland, yet I usually enjoy subtle flavours. The others on my table enjoyed their food a lot though. The menu was difficult to read. Service felt rushed, and not particularly friendly. Great location on the waterfront.

I come to this place now twice a year for almost 18 years! It's the best fish restaurant at the lake! I highly recommend it to you if you wanna have an amazing fish experience! I love the personal, they're friendly and fun! Can't wait to come back soon!

Food and service were great! No kids menu or pizzas, but the kids enjoyed the chicken with porcetta and pastas, while we had 2 fish specials as main course. Good wine selection and very friendly personnel!

Easily the best restaurant at Lake Garda. Serving creative, uncompromisingly delicious, superfresh fish dishes for decades already. Wines excellent, service very friendly, welcoming, professional with an incredible talent to make the place not feel stuck up at all. Ambience matches the food and service. Well designed from top to bottom. In every nook and cranny you see something exciting, innovative, or traditionally beautiful all combined masterfully into one stunning masterpiece. If you want the full "la Grotta" experience start out with a Misto Crudo each, the mixed raw fish starters, then continue with many many cooked starters only one to share amongst two or three of you so you journey your way through the menu bite by bite. If its two of you you can easily go through four to eight cooked starters that way depending on whether youre willing to skip a main course. Main courses and pasta dishes are also absolutely excellent but one has to say that the true attractions (and they ARE attractions) are the starters. On a particularly adventurous night, tell the waiter to take care of the food without ordering yourself and the waiter will design your menu for you which will look similar to what i described on the top. That saves the somewhat time-consuming task of going through the many many daily changing dishes which instead of being written on a black board or the menu are recited by the waiter. Not cheap but worth every penny. Dont go in for a quick lunch or dinner. See it as an event of your vacation and take your time and dont worry about the cost. A nice experience there will be 100 to 150 Euros per person but it will be the main thing you tell your family, friends and colleagues about. TLDR: Cant recommend enough. Not only worth a detour, worth changing your vacation destination for.

Don't eat here. The owner shouts at customers, the staff struggle to provide good service. The food is decent and the location lovely, but the rudeness spoilt our afternoon in Lazise.

Spectacular place to eat. Traditional Italian food done to a very high standard. Very un-tourist(y). We'll be making this our first stop the next time we're in the area. Staff brilliant

The staff was okay, polite but not genuinely friendly. The food was about the same. Okay. It looked good, but it tasted average. If only they put as much effort in the tastes/quality of the food as they did in to the make up of the plates. Above all, it was all overpriced.

I am truly, deeply disappointed. Food was good, but don't ask me about the personal. The garçon/camerieri, they were so rude. If I was not there with my friends, I wouldn't stay. I don't recommend this place. There are many good restaurants with polite and professional friendly staff.
