I spent a week at this hotel with my family. The property itself is beautiful, and the service—especially from the waitstaff—is exceptional. However, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. We booked three rooms. The ones on the second floor were comfortable, though they all had bathtubs, which felt outdated for a hotel charging $2,000+ per night. The fourth-floor rooms, however, were extremely disappointing—the ceilings were slanted and very low, making the space feel cramped. The bathroom design was impractical, as it was impossible to shower while standing, and, shockingly, there was no air conditioning. What’s even more frustrating is that the price for these rooms is virtually the same as the second-floor rooms, despite the significant difference in quality. After bringing this issue to the hotel’s attention, they acknowledged that the fourth-floor rooms were inferior, yet they refused to offer any compensation or adjustment. Their response was simply that these rooms “sell by themselves”, which was disappointing given the price point and our expectations. Additionally, we had a frustrating experience with our dinner reservation. I had called to modify our booking so that our entire group could dine in the main dining room (which is included in the stay). However, the owner and staff insisted that I had made a reservation at the hotel’s other restaurant and that canceling would result in a charge. Despite explaining that this was an error made by the front desk, they refused to acknowledge the mistake and insisted I was wrong. What made this even more frustrating was that earlier that morning at breakfast, I had confirmed with the waiter that we would be dining in the main dining room that evening—further proving that there had been a miscommunication on the hotel’s end, not mine. Another issue to be aware of is the hotel’s approach to payments. If you choose to pay by credit card, expect to cover an additional 3% fee imposed by the payment terminal. For a hotel of this caliber, it’s surprising and disappointing that they would pass on these costs to guests—it feels like they are trying to profit from every angle. For a hotel of this standing, I would expect a much more customer-focused approach. Considering how much we had already spent on dining and wine, it was disappointing to be met with such inflexibility over a simple reservation change. This was an unfortunate way to end what was otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Booked 3 rooms for me and my family with very similar prices but each of the 3 rooms had a different configuration which made little sense. We’re not the tallest family but none of us would fit in the shower without having to duck. The Spa is beautiful but not very well managed, the rules on nudity are very lax, there is a shared Jacuzzi that i wanted to take my daughter to but there where naked couples acting inappropriately and no staff at the spa to say anything so we wheren’t really able to enjoy it. There is 2-3 restaurants on property but they all pretty much have the same menu since they all share one kitchen although they market them as different. The owners are also always badgering you ane not letting you enjoy family moments as they tend to drone in your conversations. They say they are kid friendly but with exception of the amenities for kids which are super cute it’s definitely not a good ambiance for children under 10 years of age. Also they charge you an extra 3% if you pay with a credit card which is not very common. I have stayed in numerous luxury ski resorts in Europe and I can say Lech is great for skiing but there are better and more luxurious options at the same price level, with better treatment of guests in other parts of Europe. People should also be aware that the bar of the hotel closes relatively early and even if you are a guest at the hotel the staff will pressure you to leave before 11:30pm which is also not very common. The location is really good and the building itself is nice but that’s about it.

Probably one of the best ski resort hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. Situated in a perfect location near the town center, with a fantastic view on the surrounding mountains, the Almhof is in a league of its own. A warm Austrian welcome will leave smiling for the rest of your stay from the moment you walk into the lobby. The room, food, spa, bar, service & staff,... everything at the Almhof Schneider is impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the stay of a lifetime in Lech. The Schneider family's hospitality is truly unmatched.

You cannot go wrong at all with this excellent hotel. Location, service, design, look & feel - all details are simply perfect. Certainly one of the most beautiful luxury hotels you can find. The Spa is outstanding, the service attentive and always helpful. The guests are educated, well dressed and relaxed, which contributes to the nice ambience. Please add a Nespresso machine to the room for a quick coffee at any time.

I love skiing, and have been doing it since I was two, but no hotel I have stayed at whilst skiing has EVER been this good! Food, fun and happiness are the words that I would use to describe this outstanding hotel! As soon as you arrive at the hotel, you are treated like royalty, and after you go skiing, there is a nice warm boot room to comfort you. the service is great, everyone is so nice and the food is the BEST I've ever had!!! I have made happy memories that I will cherish forever!!!

The room is not what I expected: the superior double room is longer than wide (narrow), the balcony is fake, the wardrobes are small, the double bed is a bed with two mattresses, not a bed with a double mattress, the bathroom has a bathtub , not with a shower, it only has a sink, a chair and a heater and no other furniture, the spa is small, almost everything is small: the reception, the ski storage room, the place for the buffet, etc. The services and staff are excellent. With the exception of the services and the restaurant area, the hotel, in my opinion, is not quite what it should be for 5 superior stars

Not only is this the finest ski hotel we have stayed at, it is one of the finest hotels....period. From the owners, to the staff (all staff...including the housekeeping staff), everyone was just superb. We had six nights there recently and just loved it. There is nothing that we thought needed improvement. In particular the quality of the restaurants at the hotel is superb. The owners (Schneider family) are hands on and absolutely charming. Terrific place!

We had a great evening at the Almhof Schneider restaurant, preceded by a warm reception in the hotel's stunning bar area. The food was excellent, as was the service. The highlight of the evening was the Salzburger Nockerl. Gladly again !
