Hotel Alpenblick Zermatt

Had a disappointing experience here. When I raised a legitimate concern at checkout regarding my booking, the manager/owner became extremely aggressive and unprofessional. Instead of a calm conversation, I was met with hostility. I contacted Expedia about the manager’s behavior and the service issues, and thankfully, Expedia stepped up and made it right immediately. Avoid this place if you value professional service—the management here does not know how to treat guests. Five stars to Expedia support, zero stars for this hotel's management.

Dear Alpenblick Hotel, I would like to confirm and put on record that on December 23, 2025, I left my Harman Kardon portable Bluetooth wireless speaker in my room No. 43, 4th floor during my stay at your hotel in Zermatt, Switzerland. On the morning of December 24, 2025, I contacted the hotel through your landline, and the receptionist Carol answered and assisted me. She coordinated with housekeeping and confirmed that the speaker was found. I then requested the hotel to store the item under my name (Joel Te, Philippines) because someone will pick it up on my behalf. Carol agreed, and the item has been kept under my name, Joel Te, Philippines. The receptionists are very helpful, especially Carol — they assisted me professionally and kindly. Quaint older hotel, but well maintained. Balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast included was quite nice and extensive enough to meet every taste. Was comfortable to walk through town to the train station but not with luggage. Would strongly suggest a taxi.

I made this reservation at the last minute since I needed a place to stay for one night. On the way there from Wengen I had 7 train changes and took a bad tumble on the last train. Carol was very kind and arranged for a taxi to pick me up from the Train Station as well as a return the next morning. She provided me with emergency options should I get worse but thankfully I didn’t. The room was vey nice, there was a kettle in the room which I think I appreciate more than the average person. My visit was so brief I don’t know much more to say except I remember them fondly.

Lovely and comfortable hotel. ||Also the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The cleaning team should be given a pay rise - they do an amazing job. It was spotless - common areas and my room. ||Comfortable bed, warm rooms and a balcony was great too. ||Highly recommended.

Meticulously maintained room with traditional Swiss woodwork and beautifully appointed bathroom. High quality breakfast offering a wide range of offerings included. Friendly and efficient staff. Great location for accessing Matterhorn Express.

The Alpenblick was amazing! The staff was very friendly, our room lovely. The breakfast options were plentiful. It was our favorite part of the trip!

We spent 4 nights there. Had a beautiful room but the view of the Matterhorn was blocked by construction. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the service impeccable.
