A great place to ski if you want to be near the ski lifts of Arosa. Clean, well-equipped, and very friendly and helpful staff. The kitchen/restaurant served excellent dinner!

I have been considering whether I should review my experience and after much thought I think it’s to your advantage I do so. Two days ago my group of eight ate at this hotel. 1- Apero at the bar. 20 minutes no one came- no whiskey or Pernod. bar was basically empty of beverages. Opted for Aperol Spritz. Arrived at table another 20 minutes before someone came. Orders done one wrong starter came therefore another 2o mns before he could eat. Mains came much later missing one steak. Everyone was finished eating still no steak. It was cancelled though the older service lady still brought it out and tried to offer it to me or others to take it. She repeated over and over it was a shame not to eat it and that it was nothing she could do. Never seen anything like it. Ok yes you want to offer coffee but the fact is they made the mistake and then try to make the guests feel bad because they don’t want to eat a steak at 10.30 at night. The whole experience and attitude was absolutely out of order. I am a very frequent visitor in Arosa and sadly will never return to this hotel/restaurant again. Management need to step up if they want this place to work in Arosa Good luck Plus no ambience to make you feel at home or comfortable. Maybe just bad luck going there on January the first Who knows

Super friendly staff, specially Robert at the front desk who is very helpful and kind. The hotel has a very nice restaurant and friendly staff as well. The location is great, very close to the ski and bus station, with nice bars around for apres ski. This hotel deserve five stars :).

A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Bareit and their fantastic team! They made my dream wedding in the beautiful snow capped mountains of Arosa, Switzerland possible. We hired 80% of the rooms in the hotel and had the bar, restaurant to ourselves for our wedding.||||Our guests were treated like kings, the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff helped us enormously. The views from the bedroom windows are stunning, to wake up to that view every morning was incredible!||||This hotel has everything you need. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, 100m to the nearest ski lift, ski school and ski hire shops. All the bars and restaurants are in walking distance too. ||||I would recommend this hotel to families, couples and groups. A very easy going family run hotel who made my special day so magical!||||Thank you Hotel Alpensonne!!

I had always wanted to go to Arosa ever since I saw it on the Switzerland map. Choosing a hotel was the difficult part. The Hotel Tschuggen had a high rating - but so was the price. Fortuitously, I called the tourism office in Arosa. A most helpful lady sent me several options and we chose the Hotel Alpensonne. It was a real find. We had a junior suite, newly renovated. It was quiet with outstanding views. My husband and I enjoyed the autumn views from the balcony. ||||An added advantage was the advice for walks from the owner. We even met him and his wife on a hike and took their advice and walked up to the Hornli which was a challenge given the snow and ice on the mountain trail which we chose as an option. It was an exhilarating experience.||||We were not looking for a wellness experience so the hotel was just what we wanted. For us it was a great experience, including walking up to the hotel and back to town several times during our stay.

The Alpensonne is really well located for access to the slopes, ski school meeting point, ski hire etc. Particularly good if you are only visiting for a long weekend or similar as it's all about 5 minutes walk. Towards the top end of town so not as close to bars and restaurants etc but the hotel's own restaurant is very good and you have the Kulm hotel restaurants nearby. ||Very large balcony with comfy loungers. We curled up under a blanket and sat outside enjoying the winter sun late one afternoon. ||Family room is a bit of a squeeze but completely fine if you are a family who is planning on heading out to the slopes most of the time. ||Staff are absolutely delightful and couldn't have done more for us. Not cheap, but good value for Arosa.

If your are looking for a wonderful winter experience, you have it all right here. It is not common in this day and age to have such personal attention paid to you as a guest. The hotel is cozy and inviting, but the most outstanding aspect of my stay was the professional and friendly staff. Each member of this establishment, including the owner and his family, go out of their way to insure you have a wonderful holiday. From the food and wine menus, the fabulous views from the room, to the convenience of the location...you will not be disappointed in Hotel Alpensonne!
