Hotel „Alpha“

A TYPICAL BELOW MEDIUM HOTEL AT A GOOD LOCATION It’s weird and unbearable how the owner faces the strong requests from customers to place a refrigerator at the rooms, especially at the expensive ones. He is probably hoping to sell more cold beers, water and refreshments from his own bar, at a double price from the mini market next door, obviously he is focusing exclusively on his profit, ignoring customers’ comfort. Cleaning is an issue as well, there are areas below the beds especially, that have never been cleaned before (photos are included). Receptionists and other personnel are ok. The location is also fine, but parking is a nightmare most of the times. Stay away from there, there are plenty of much better places/hotels in town to spent your nights .. toxic free.

Normal hotel. Cleaned every day even if you ask them not to do with pure towels. Nice view from the balcony. There is a small market very nearby.

This hotel is located in a quiet street that is within easy walking distance of the main square where the shops and restaurants are located and there is also a café located at the end of the street. There is free parking in the street as long as there are any free spaces left, although the curbside road surface is in desperate need of repair. However, the hotel has no private car park.||There is still a communist-era welcome at this hotel where the receptionists are surly and just see the guests as objects to process. They even let me go to the room without the keys and couldn't care less about it. ||My room was quite nice with a double bed, a table with drawers, a TV, chair, wardrobe, aircon and a balcony with another chair. ||The bathroom had a mirror door opposite the bed which is taboo in some cultures. The whole bathroom layout was very weird and badly thought-out while there was no showering cubicle. There was also a weird smell in the bathroom. ||The hotel claims to have breakfast, but, when I enquired about it, I was advised not to order it as it is just one pastry and a cup of coffee.||This hotel is good for sleeping, but the staff are in dire need of customer service training.||

The room was very clean with plenty of towels, cute decoration, large terrace, airco and tv with plenty (about 200 channels). Shower and toilet basic - but be careful, can be slip floor after you take it. No lift, and toilet is a bit high level above floor which makes it unsuitable for handicapped. The reception in the morning was not too helpful and sympatical. For the price (average) and 1-2 nights okay

Great place. We spent a couple of days here with our dog and saw all the amazing sights in and around the town. The hotel is cozy, quiet and neat, the staff are friendly. I recommend this hotel because you can feel more comfortable here than a lot of other places where they charge you double. The Alpha Hotel is the perfect place to stay if you plan to spend most of your waking time exploring the town and the vicinity and to go back just to sleep and refresh yourself.

We stayed for one night only and that would be the most that we would endure. |The location is convenient since it is located at the edge of the old town and within walking distance from the center. |There was a rather large balcony with a nice view of the area around. The room was not too small and the bathroom was the almost typical Bulgarian style with no bath tub, no shower curtain but with the water drained almost perfectly in seconds. Clean towels. |The nightmare was the bed. Two single beds pushed together covered by a sheet which we are positive it hadn't been changed and then a single spring duvet, also not changed. |We ask for clean linen for everything and a double duvet and we got another single one and we had to make our own beds. |The mattress was so bad that there was a large recess in the morning and we were in pain. |There was one flat TV and one light hanging from the ceiling. A sofa and a set of drawers and that's it. No phone, no minibar, no nothing. The heat was a/c based.|The room was on the clean side. And the staff was polite but not helpful enough to assist us with the linen situation. |The price was cheap with no breakfast included. Which was not available anyway.

This hotel, in fairness is OK if you are on a budget and is quite close to the centrum. We stayed in a family room for four nights and it was comfortable enough, with a small balcony. The bathroom was small in our room, but the room was bigger than the other one they showed us, that had a huge bathroom, but cramped sleeping space. The upshot? Rooms vary a bit, but are all clean and reasonably well (if basically) appointed. We enjoyed our stay, although we only ate breakfast once. It was awful I am afraid to say, meaning that we didn't avail ourselves of the service again.

Rooms are OK, bathroom is usable, problem was that every time you open water need to wait for 20sec to stop coming brown water and become clean.|Breakfast is pretty expensive for eat you get. Better to eat somewhere else, something from bakery, glass of juice and bad coffee for 2 E is much for me.|Location is great, 5min walk to center
