Hotel Alpha, Garni

Lucerne was my favorite city among all the places I visited in Switzerland, and this hotel was a great choice. It is located in a very nice neighborhood and within walking distance of several shops. The room is spacious and very clean, as is the private bathroom. They also offer rooms without a private bathroom, with shared facilities, which I believe makes the stay more affordable. The room does not have a TV; instead, there are two TV lounges available, one for smokers and one for non-smokers. They also provide board games and books, which adds a nice, cozy touch. There is also a small desk area with a computer and printer available for guests. The entire staff is very helpful and welcoming, and they offer plenty of tourist information brochures. Breakfast includes bread, fruit, yogurt, hot drinks, and a hard-boiled egg, and although simple, the quality is very good. Highly recommended.

This hotel was an absolute delight and exceeded all my expectations. The room was comfortable, well-furnished, and created a relaxing atmosphere that made me feel at home right away. Every detail, from the cleanliness to the thoughtful design, added to the overall comfort of my stay. The staff were attentive and professional, always making sure that guests felt well taken care of. What I appreciated most was the convenient location. The hotel was situated near the bus station, and getting into the city by train took only about 20 minutes. Everything about this stay was smooth, easy, and enjoyable.

Nice! Very reasonably priced hostel in downtown Lucerne. The Hotel Alpha is clean, the service is excellent and it is in a great location, within walking distance of all bus and train stations in Lucerne. I loved the guys who worked the front desk.They were very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to share information on anything you would want to see in or around Lucerne. Not fancy, but a great deal for anyone passing through Lucerne.

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Alpha. The absolute best part was waking up and seeing the sun hitting the peak of Mount Pilatus right from our window – what an amazing view to start the day with! The room was very clean and comfortable, and they provided plenty of towels. I was also really impressed with the complimentary breakfast; it was delicious and had a great selection. A couple of things that stood out: there wasn't a hot water kettle in the room, but the staff at the front desk were super helpful and you can easily borrow one from them. Also, the housekeeping was fantastic. They tidied up during the day but were very respectful and didn't disturb any of our clothes or things we had left out. Overall, a really great experience. Highly recommend for a clean, comfortable stay with a truly special view.

Hotel Alpha is a good deal if you're trying to save money while vacationing in Lucerne. The location is pretty close to the downtown area, and the area is quiet which was nice. The room was not bad, however there were beard hair trimmings on the sink and hair in the shower when we checked in so that kind of grossed me out. Another downside was the smell of cigarette smoke that got into our room anytime we had our windows open. I'm from the US so I know that smoking is more prevalent in Europe, but it would be nice to not smell it in our hotel room. The included breakfast was basic, but nice to have in a pinch. Overall, not bad for the price we paid. The room was a fair size, and the beds were pretty comfortable.

Efficient, clean, well-appointed and quiet - Hotel Alpha was exactly what we needed for our 1 night stay in Lucerne. The staff were very friendly and made the whole process stress-free. Definitely recommend for those looking for a base to explore Lucerne.

Very nice place. Very very clean, very nice and comfortable beds and blankets. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location near central station and the old town.|Breakfast was adequate, but I personally would appreciate more vegetables.|The room was small but we didnt mind this.

A well-run hotel about ten minutes walking distance from the train station and close to numerous attractions, restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel was clean and comfortable but not quiet because our room was next to the communal toilet - avoid room 117! The buffet breakfast is basic but adequate. Staff are friendly and service-orientated, and I appreciated the receptionist getting me an expresso outside of breakfast hours. I recommend this hotel.
