Hôtel Alt Québec

We stayed here during our trip to Quebec and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was in a great location—convenient and easy to access. Everything was clean, and the interior design was unique and stylish. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The view overlooking Quebec City wasn’t bad either, which added to the overall experience. The shower was comfortable with good water pressure, which made it easy to relax after a long day. Overall, a great place to stay while exploring the area. The only downside was that no drinking water was provided in the room, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, still a great place to stay while exploring the area.

I really enjoyed my time staying at this hotel in Quebec City. The location is perfect—close to many restaurants and places to explore. The room was a bit small, but it was very clean, cozy, and calm, with all the amenities I needed, including a coffee machine. The staff were extremely nice and helpful throughout my stay. I even texted the reception at 4 a.m. after finding out my flight was delayed, asking if a late checkout was possible, and they replied within minutes and kindly approved it. I truly appreciated their hospitality and quick response. I would definitely stay here again!

With only a month’s notice, we had to find a new venue for our wedding — and choosing the ALT Hotel was the best decision we could have made. From the very first email, the sales team was quick, understanding, and incredibly helpful. They made every detail work, from accommodating guests arriving from across Canada to ensuring accessibility for those with mobility needs. The staff went above and beyond — warm, welcoming, and truly detail-oriented. When I mentioned wanting a bowl of chocolates as a centerpiece, they even found several options for me! They checked in on us regularly and made sure everything ran smoothly. Our room was perfect — modern, clean, and comfortable — and the catering from Bistango restaurant was amazing. Everything went like clockwork, and I keep telling everyone: my wedding day was perfect, thanks to the incredible team at the ALT Hotel. Highly, highly recommend for both accommodations and events. Wonderful experience! A truly pet-friendly hotel. We loved the thoughtful detail of having a small bed and bowl ready for our chihuahuas — such a kind touch that shows how much they care about their furry guests. 🐾 The service was friendly and attentive, the room spotless and equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine ☕️, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back — my husband, our chihuahuas, and I — delighted to have found such a welcoming and well-run hotel. 💕

Just checked out of the Alt Hotel in Quebec and it was a great experience. Check in and check out was super easy, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. The restaurant Bistango is amazing and affordable. A four course dinner for $55-65 CAD is pretty amazing. Great location, about 17 mins to Old town and the hotel providers a free bus pass. Highly recommend it!

The check-in service was fast and front desk very supportive and nice. Our room and bathroom were of good size and very clean. The hotel is ideally located in a lively environment with a shopping mall with restaurants just facing it. The negative points are the noise of streets you can hear from the rooms and the building look old and not well maintained from the outside.

Spent the night recently as a last minute decision, I was looking for a decent deal for same-day lodging as my boyfriend and I spent the day near Quebec City and were not interested in driving back home that night. Our room was cozy, well appointed, well soundproofed, bathroom was big enough with a spacious corner shower. Bed was a little bit firm for my liking but that’s a personal opinion. Front desk staff were polite and helpful, and provided us with toothbrushes and restaurant recommendations with a smile. Free underground parking is a perk, and location right across for a very large mall as well. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

We stayed here with our dog and had a lovely time. The rooms were roomy, modern and had high ceilings, making it feel more open. The hotel being dog-friendly was the main reason we stayed here and it included the “pup package” which was a feeding station, a dog bed, and a package of treats. My dog enjoyed all of his amenities and we will be sure to come back if we’re in the area.

Staying overnight for business. Beautiful hotel. Just no pool, sauna and no baths in room ( only shower). Staff very friendly and great restaurant accessible from inside. Don't know pricing as it is covered from contract but would stay here again if needed

Stayed here on a Saturday night this past weekend and I will say that the service and quality were phenomenal. The hotel is a short drive to downtown (10 minutes approx) and offered free parking and wifi. The rooms are unique, modern, very clean and had great high quality soaps/shampoo, oh and very nice white clean sheets! The concierge staff were helpful right from the moment we arrived throughout our entire stay. I brought my small dog (fee of $30) and every staff interacted with him wonderfully. They have an adorable pet package for your dog - dog bed, treats, food/water bowl and more! The cherry on the cake was when we asked if late checkout would be an option on Sunday, without hesitation, Benoit (one of the concierge) said we could enjoy the day exploring Quebec City and checkout late afternoon - you won't get that anywhere else in my opinion! I would highly recommend this hotel, you will save about $200 vs a hotel in downtown Quebec and get top notch service and product. Thank you for a great stay to everyone at Alt Hotel, Quebec!

I stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions and have to tell you, this place is great. Very nice people, excellent service. The restaurant is fantastic. Somewhat pricey but food is out of this world. Having Starbucks within the same building is a plus early in the morning. Rooms are excellent. Prices are very reasonable. The only improvement that I would suggest is better communication with confirmation of reservation when one is made on-line. On a few occasions I did not get it, but received it promptly when called the front desk. Also, it would be great to have the confirmations that they send compatible with Tripit. Tripit does not recognize it and it has to be done manually. Love this hotel, highly recommended.

Stayed here for a couple nights. It's a few miles from old town Quebec City. Great thing about this place is 1) free parking, 2) free wifi, 3) cool rooms, 4) nice staff. I'd stay here again. It's a short 7-10 minute drive to downtown Quebec City. Pay $7-10 for a parking lot. Save about $100-200 for a hotel in and around old town Quebec City plus hotel parking ($30).

Nice hotel and a good value. Staff were delightful for the most part. It is in the suburbs and a $20 Uber ride into old Quebec. My only complaint was that you really needed a car or were stuck eating at the restaurant in the building which was very mediocre and expensive. There is amazing food in Quebec downtown so get something there. It is near a mall. Some like that.
