Hotel Alt-Ringlein

Good hotel in the middle of the old town. Large, well furnished room and a very good choice for breakfast. Restaurant was good, very busy but with a great atmosphere. Being in the old town was great and the location let us wander this medieval town with ease.

We ordered the dinner special for two. It was excellent, however, after reading other people’s reviews I realize now later that we were missing a sausage as others who ordered the same thing received two and we only received one. Very disappointing after the fact and a star removed due to feeling taken advantage of since we couldn’t read the menu very well. There is an English translation but it is poorly translated as it didn’t specify how many sausages we should have received and only discovering the missing link after. Overall it was still delicious though and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Are lunch here and enjoyed it very much. Service was good and friendly. Bier was very good and cold. Enjoyed the Sauerbraten greatly along with the sautéed red cabbage. Wife had the pork shoulder which was very nice. Thank you!

Here you can drink draft beer from 4 Bamberg breweries ( Mahr , Spezial , Schlenkerla, Kessmann) and 2 more by the bottle Göller and Maisels. So stopping here helps you try a good variety of local Bamberg Beer.

A total gem right in the centre of the old town. Olde worlde, situated central old town. Huge room, comfortable and clean. Dogs are very welcome. Incredible restaurant, superb quality, amazing choice and value. Well known for its food. Breakfast served in a different part of the hotel and has a canteen feel to it. However amazing, well stocked choice of food. The best coffee we have had in years. Overall you will not find better .. and the reasonable price is a huge bonus. Parking at the hotel. Wi fi, lift

I ate spoiled food here three times. I'm definitely not eating here a fourth time!!! GOOD, GOOD, BUT DON'T DO IT AGAIN! The staff is rude, even insensitive I would say!

We only came here for lunch. Food was great. Service was also at its best. We sat at a shared table with another guests and talking opening a conversation was a good chance to know and learn more about the German Food tradition. It made the experience even better. Thanks.

After trying to be seated at a nearby restaurant and treated rudely, we crossed to this cozy plaza and had great service and good food. Some of us chose better than others, but it was very enjoyable. Local Frankish food and we had some of those. I was with 3 native Germans.
