Hotel Alte Schule Lindau/Bodensee

We had a really pleasant stay at this B&B. It’s super clean, with spacious bathrooms and comfy beds with A/C. As soon as you walk in, you can feel how much love and care has gone into the place. Even though we arrived late, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The owner was very helpful, and breakfast was fresh and tasty. After we checked out, they kindly looked after our bags and even gave us umbrellas. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay, room 9 was spacious and we loved it. Breakfast was excellent, real attention to detail and eggs cooked as you wanted, really professional and friendly. The owners are great, really friendly and informative, they have an excellent hotel in a great location and we would definitely stay again. They don't have many visitors from the UK apparently so we would encourage you to visit.

We've spent around a week in the hotel and i must say its nothing but a spectacular. The owner is very professional and polite. The breakfast options are really good. The rooms were clean and well arranged. With the given price i say its one of the best hotel in the region.

The stay was awesome and very calm. Hospitality and service were great. We recommend this hotel for those who want to spend a weekend on Bodensee and enjoy the vibe of the ancient city of Lindau.

What a great place. Lovely friendly family run hotel. Comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean rooms. Photos don't do it justice. Everything looked brand new. Great breakfast and a perfect location. If I return to Lindau I will be staying here.

We had a delightful two night stay at the Alte Schule Hotel while doing some hiking in the region. It’s centrally located on the island and the accommodation is modern, very clean and spacious. We were warmly welcomed at this family-run hotel and the staff were always friendly and very helpful. The room had lovely touches such as towels to bring to the beach as well as flip flops. While the building is historical, it had all the modern conveniences such as air conditioning and beautiful furniture and fittings to ensure a comfortable stay. There are a great deal of restaurants and cafes nearby as well as a supermarket. The ferry terminal and island train station were an easy 7 minute walk from the hotel. Check in was simple using an app to deliver your key code. There’s also a fridge in the reception area where you can purchase cold drinks and beers leaving money in an honesty box which I thought was a nice touch as well. We look forward to coming back to Alte Schule Hotel again!

Spent nearly a week at Hotel Alte Schule in June 2022 and loved everything about the hotel. It’s a unique hotel in an old school building and the rooms were wonderful. The air conditioning was excellent and needed in the summer. The breakfast buffet was excellent but they also offered to prepare eggs any way desired to order. The owners were wonderful and their young daughter was adorable. The hotel was also conveniently located and the waterfront was nearby. We also received great recommendations from the owners for activities. We highly recommend this hotel for staying in Lindau

Our family of four stayed here for the night during our two week trip through Bavaria. The suite was spacious and comfortable. It was the only place we stayed that actually had air conditioning (although we didn't need it). The bathroom was modern and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable. The husband and wife who run this hotel were very kind, warm, and hospitable. Our check-in and check-out were easy. We had a delicious breakfast at the hotel, including made-to-order eggs. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, especially with helping us find a place to eat dinner when most of the restaurants on the island were fully-booked. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lindau.
